Mmm turkey. You've got to love Thanksgiving. Especially when you get in on two turkey suppers. And because I'm the poor university student I get many leftovers.

Ah, right. Canadian Thanksgiving is earlier than ours. I don't celebrate it, personally, but I'm generally around when the rest of my family is eating Thanksgiving dinner... And I'd be having meatless lasagna or macaroni & cheese or something instead.

We don't have Thanksgiving down here... it sounds like fun, though. All we have is the Day of the Dead.

Yes, the celebration of the 3rd time the America's were discovered, by a man who didn't know for the rest of his short life that he had done so...

He REALLY got screwed over on his discovery. At least, if what I've heard is correct... Haven't bothered to look it up.

    Random Fact, quoted from Wikipedia:

Christopher Columbus's efforts to obtain support for his voyages were not hampered by a European belief in a flat Earth. In fact, sailors and navigators of the time knew that the Earth is spherical, but (correctly) disagreed with Columbus' estimates of the distance to India. If the Americas did not exist, and had Columbus continued to India (even putting aside the threat of mutiny he was under), he would have run out of supplies before reaching it at the rate he was traveling. The problem here was mainly a navigational one, the difficulty of determining longitude without an accurate clock. This problem remained until inventor John Harrison designed his first marine chronometers. The intellectual class had known[1] that the earth was spherical since the works of the Greek philosophers Plato and Aristotle.[2] Eratosthenes made a very good estimate of the Earth's diameter in the third century BC.[3][4]

I don't see it in the list... But is Chris's incarceration for not winding up in India a misconception? And his subsequent demise in prison, without ever being told that he discovered the Americas, not another route to India?

    Impossible. That's the answer.

The reason to why I started to have milk in my tea was to cool it down so that I wouldn't scold my tongue on it. Now, I found that I like tea with milk just as much as, if not even better than tea without milk.
