Eventually Felix pulls out a bone from his bag. A rather small one, looks like some sort of animal bone. On it have been carved several runes. Exercising caution first, Felix leans over the bar and activates a rather minor healing spell stored within the bone, attempting to heal Tobias. He would use a more powerful spell, but he knows you can never be certain if someone is really an undead creature...

The rodent-like thing will head towards Felix. It will sit under a nearby table and stare at him with its icy-blue eyes. Felix may spot the creature; grey fur on brown wood is not exactly hiding.

Riv sees what Felix is doing and does not like it.Hey! It took a lot of efdort to kill that guy! Don't heal him! He shouts, firing a heat ray at Felix.

[Trobby]

ERGO walks over to the bartender, leaning over him. "Sir, you seem to possess a surprising number of fluctuating mana fields in close proximity to your body. Would you be willing to submit to some on-site tests for the betterment of sentient knowledge?"

The Bartender looks up at ERGO, and the following text appears in ERGO's line of vision.

I am just a bartender. Would you care for a drink?

Well, Felix would notice the rodent if he hadn't just been blasted with a heat ray. Said heat ray doesn't seem to have done much, merely producing a blue glow from Felix's bone armour. He turns and stares at Riv. "Excuse me, but it really isn't appropriate to attack people who are just trying to be helpful. Would you care to explain why you tried to kill this man?"

Hey, Mad Scientist Bitch, I'll accept your bloody duel!

Len... has a bad mouth when he's angry.

Okay. No science, no magic, no friends, no healing that dude while my back is turned. Those are the rules. Riv says, then turns to Felix I tried to kill him cause he put a bullet through my skull!

I'll accept all of those terms but one. The Captain gets healed. He put a bullet through your skull because you set my unconscious body on fire.

The rodent-thing clambers onto a table. It's in clear view of anybody except the barman; rodents aren't appreciated in pubs. There is, incidently, something indefinably wrong about it. Not eldrich horror-level wrong, merely slightly off-putting.

And now, it (and I) Deadtime.

"Oh, well that's not good to hear. However, I think this can be solved without any more conflict if you'd all just calm down. There's no need for anyone to die here."

The only reason I set him on fire was because he tried to stab an obviously sentient animal just because it said hello in it's native language, then knocked himself out to win a bet! I was even going to extinguish the fire once he got up so we could finish our duel! And that was when the man on the floor shot me! Riv says, dropping his arsenal of weaponry and drawing a sword. So yes, there's a need for violence. And please wait until after the duel to heal him.

OH GODS.

Ermine wakes up with a very cross look on her face. Bad hangover. Fast metabolism. Sense.

"Will'ya bloody giants keep the friggen noise down?! Some'o us 'r tryin' ta sleep ya'know!"

The ermine gets up and puts the hat on her head. Going from curled inside it to wearing it, again, makes no sense.

"No. No, I'm sorry, but I am not going to stand by and let you two do such a thing! This is a tavern! It's a place for drinking, not fighting! And it's certainly not a suitable place to be making such ridiculous bets as it sounds like you've been making!" Felix sounds rather angry...

You don't seem to understand. I will not duel you until the Captain is healed, and if you attack me before he is, I will kill you. Slowly and painfully.

"I'mma hafta agree wit' da bone guy. Take da fight roight outside so ye don't be disturbin' us that's just 'ere ta drink."

Ermine is glaring. Quite angrily for a small weasel-like creature.

Let us compromise. I will stabilize the captain and if you win the duel he will be heed. If I win I shoot him in the face. The man in the armor does have a point though, this is my favorite tavern. Therefor I suggest we move the fight to another location. An arena in fact.

Fine, stabilize the Captain, and show me to this arena.

"No! No this is not acceptable! I am not going to simply stand by and let you two duel over a man's life. You're both completely mad to agree to such a thing!" Felix glares at the two of them, looking absolutely furious. "That healing spell I put into him should've stabilised him, so I suggest the two of you back off and sort this dispute out with words, before I'm forced to take action!"

[ThirdEmperor]

Riv walks over and hooks a small packet up to the captain, then extends his hand to Len while still keeping one hand on the captain. There, that should stabilize him unless he's allergic to oxygen or something like that. Now grab on and I'll teleport us to the arena. Oh, and would you consent to being the judge? This last comment is directed at Felix.

Ermine waves a paw around in the air.

"Oi! Me'thinks I could be'a good judge!"

I'm sorry, Healer, but I will not back down on this. It is my fault that the Captain was injured in the first place, I will not lose this duel.

Len puts his hand on Riv's shoulder.

"Ermine. I'm ah bloody ermine."

Ermine dons her hat and scampers over to Riv. The ermine uses lots of natural agility to jump off tables and the counter to try and get on his other shoulder.

"I AM NOT GOING TO BE A JUDGE FOR SUCH A BARBARIC ACT!" Felix shouts, hitting the bar with his fist. "I'm not asking you to back down, I'm asking you to back down and realise how IDIOTIC it is to duel over a man's LIFE!"

Healer, will you please stop shouting? I believe you may be disturbing the other patrons of this fine establishment.

Dexter, the Announcer from the Arena steps through a portal that appears midair, wearing his white suit, a smirk, thin mustache, and cigarette. "Now, now...the Audience is the judge. Let them decide your fates." He gestures at the portal to the Arena behind him. "As we say, "The World is a stage, and we're all stabbing each other for a piece of the royalties"."

I like your style. Riv says, jumping through the portal and presumably taking the Ermine on his shoulder with him.

Len walks through the portal, and a projection appears behind Felix for just long enough to say, so that only Felix could hear.

When we're through, heal the captain and tell him to run. I'll keep the madman at bay for as long as I can.
