I've decided I want to make a shirt for the Nexus on Cafepress. Said shirt has a picture of a character from the Nexus (I want the sniper cat) says "Welcome to the Nexus" then http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170699.

It'd mainly be an advertisement gained to get more people to join the Nexus. Thoughts?

Yeah....I doubt its going to happen. I wouldn't let my PCs be put on T-Shirts either. They're mine, and will stay mine.

Not to mention, I think there might be Intellectual Property Rights issues involved. Don't quote me on that, but it sounds right.

Nobody owns the Nexus, so we can't stop you from using it as a breakaway webcomic setting, but you need to go ahead and let it actually break away. I don't think any fan comic should consider itself the official comic of the Nexus. There are too many players past and present who made the Nexus what it is today for any one person to claim that distinction.
