I actually did notice that. ;p Hence why I quickly added a few other areas of expertise like language to give him something to do besides "another English teacher."

Incidentally, would it be more, less, or no change at all in how powerful he is if, instead of having precognition, he was simply able to notice everything around him?

Mind you, he wouldn't be like Encyclopedia Brown who notices only the important things, and he would not have the deductive reasoning skills of Sherlock Holmes. In fact, there's a good chance he wouldn't even know WHY he knows certain things, like whether everyone is in class or not, or that you are actually a gold dragon. But he wouldn't know WHY he knows that. Just that he does know it.

:/ Or maybe something else...now that I have him down as being in divination, I really want to make him be able to do something unique with that.

The thing about this is that OoC Knowledge is a good way to raise the hackles of anyone here. Personally, so long as that is his specific power, I'd be fine with it, but others may take some exception. I have two ideas for you: When RPing, make sure you ask the other players for permission before you just have him stating things. Let them determine just how much they want said out loud. Some will prefer to keep their characters' secrets invisible to your diviner, but others will respond more amiably. The other suggestion is to give your character the flaw of self-doubt. A sort of Self-Cassandra Syndrome, as it were. Because he doesn't know WHY he knows what he knows, he may be more likely to disbelieve it.

For example: Jim Davidson's intuition/precognition/subconscious tells him that Aurea is a Gold Dragon. But he doesn't believe that because, really, she looks like a harmless young lady and there is no rational explanation why she should be anything but that, so this clearly must be his overactive imagination running away again.

*Shrugs* I hope this gives you a starting place, at least.
