"Uh...yeah. It's a fairly new thing, but I guess I am." Riace sits himself back down across from Chris.

Chris nods his head. "Anything important going on out there? I haven't been out of here in God knows how long."

"Apocalyptic villains, weird love stories, space pirates. Business as usual, really. Though there is a big music festival going on soon."
Riace shrugs, totally not convincing himself that everything is normal.
"So tell me, what's going on down here?"

Chris seems a bit frightened that such things are normal, but he's kinda too tired to care. He then leans back in his chair. "Ugh, nothing much. Drama, drama, and more drama. It's my fault, but yeah. I think some new people came in, old people came back, and other than that, not much."

[Recaiden]

"I thought this was some ... organization of heroes?"

"As far as I know, it is. But, we've been rather inactive lately."

"Well, I don't know that..that's okay. There are plenty of unassociated heroes out there saving the world."

Chris goes to make himself a cup of coffee.

Riace decides to head up to the surface. Beaches are a vital part of oceans, after all.

Chris just sorta sits there, drinking newly made coffee. Unless promted otherwise.

And Riace walks around on the beach near HALO, likely conveniently missing Meidani and Summer. Unless they want to be found, that is.

He can spot them if you want.

Sure. He does, and just stops for a while. And against his better judgment walks up to them.
"H-hello."

[horngeek]

Meidani looks up at him. "Hello, there."

((Ears and eyes, hidden by hair and headband, and sunglasses, respectively. ))

"I just came up from HALO and saw you all enjoying the sun. I'm, uh, Riace."

Meidani smiles, and stands. "Hello, there, Riace. My name's Meidani."

((She'll still find out eventually, I'm sure. Now, how long would you say he has? ))

"It's an honor to meet you." he says, offering a hand to shake.

She shakes the offered hand! "Same here."

He grins like an idiot. "Thank you. Now, have you come up from the HALO too, or are you just enjoying the scenery here?"

((I imagine it'd be longer, since that's...rare for him. ))

"I've come up from HALO, and I was just enjoying the scenery, having a well-deserved rest."

[Recaiden]

"Well don't ah, let me interrupt you. Feel free to sit back down. And what would keep you so busy?" He wonders vaguely why he's talking so uncoordinatedly.

She looks at him. And sighs. "Dealing with a Chimera."

[Recaiden]

He cringes a bit. "Oh. I take it this is some special meaning of the word? What was it?"

She sighs. "In my world, there are beings called Exalted- mortals who have been empowered by one of the highest gods. One sort of these are Lunar Exalted, gifted with the power to change their form. However, unless they have special moonsilver tattoos, there's a risk that they can turn into formless monsters and lose all sanity."

[Recaiden]

That sounds like a rather serious risk. Yep.
"Exalted, you say?" Riace takes a deep breath. And lets it out. "Could you tell me something? You see anything odd about my eyes, or my ears, or anything?" He slips off his green headband, and flicks up his glasses. Then he remembers to open his eyes, which had momentarily been held shut in apprehension.

She looks at him. "...looks a lot like a Tell to me. It's something that all Lunars have in all their forms- a reflection of their 'spirit shape', or that animal they can most naturally transform into.

What animal can you turn into? No need to tell me, just show me."

[Recaiden]

"That's...I suppose no crazier than 'Turns'. Okay. I wouldn't, normally, but..." Instead of going on and finishing that sentence, he does show her, changing into a small lynx with a rush of silver light.

((...wow. I didn't even realize that until now. ))

She nods. "Lunar. Defenitely."

And sighs. "All right, you can turn back now. You'll need to have moonsilver tattoos applied..."
