2 died, I forgot how many you had, but yeah died

The orb flies up into a large open area almost like an arena, no one sits in the stands and their is no crowd, spires in the four cardinal directions of the arena crackle and pop with energy. The energy seems to shift through many different colors.

Theda

Your elemental enters the room and searches around, near the front it spies a small man hunched over wearing dark robes marked with skull patterns.

Theda mentally conveys this information to her drow companions, then continues.

"Hm. He certainly sounds like he could be one of the priests. I'll know more when I'm able to look at him with true sight. On principal, I'd say we rush in and kill him anyway. Sound good?"

Iivraena nodded with little to no hesitation. "Definitely. Ready when you are." She thought a bit, mentally debating on whether to fight with her rapier or spells. Something told her spells may be easier. She nodded then began signing to Alakdriirn, relaying what Theda had told her just now, Get ready for company and probably a fight. Stay a little bit behind me to avoid being hurt, okay? She nodded to Theda, signaling she was ready to proceed.

Theda nods. She murmurs a preparatory spell without obvious effect. She transforms into a pit fiend, and Tonn into a glittering purple dragon.

If the man in there is a priest, keeping him silent might minimize the harm. Can you handle that?"

Once Iivraena signals her readiness, Theda and Tonn dash down the tunnel towards the man the elemental described. Assuming that he is the way that the elemental perceived him to be, Tonn stops about short of him and sends out a blast of shimmering force. Theda dives right in to engage the Cyric-lover.

Theda casts Owl's Insight, shared with Tonn. Tonn turns into an Amethyst Dragon, and Theda into a Pit Fiend. So, blindsense and true seeing are still active.

If the room's occupant doesn't match the description given by the elemental, it's probably easiest to pause mid-action to let us know what we discover.

If all is as described, Tonn moves to about 30' away from the man and breathes a cone of force at him. Force damage: (12d8)[69] Reflex 28 for half.

Theda then activates Lion's Pounce to get a full attack, and charges the man:

"I know a trap when I see one. That, sir, is a trap," Nicos whispers to Ia. It was one of those things Nicos just knew, that going into that room before the heresy elementals would not be a good thing.
I guess I shall just let the elf take care of it....

"You have better melee prowess than I, and I will not send my army up. One for now, but no more." Ia says back, directing an elemental up into the arena.

As the elemental ascends the spires change color to that of black and red. A bolt fries from each spire towards the center of the arena near the elemental creating a swirling vortex. A large clawed hand pulls itself from the portal before a pitfiend stands face to face with the elemental. He holds a large double headed axe and seems to wear a armor that moves like water cascading off of a high cliff. He makes no smal words before swinging fast at the elemental

The man is in complete shock as the force of the Dragons breath knocks him onto his backside, just as quickly as he is thrown back the demon form of Theda is upon him slash with all her might. After the first hit connects a flash and he vanishes reappearing in the far left corner of the room. A contigency upon him should he have been wounded so grievously in battle. "Hertics! In the name of the great Cyric I shall expel you to the ether and scatter your remains upon this temples steps! (still the surprise round)

"Trap," Nicos says, smugly. He smiled, and drew his knives. "Shall we go and sort this out?"

Iivraena smirked a bit, deciding upon another idea instead. She pulled her rapier out, signing to Alakdriirn, "Get ready to blast him from a distance while I keep him occupied She then followed Theda and Tonn both inside, her smirk remaining.. "The only heretic is you for worshiping a god who will abandon you soon enough." With that, she swung her rapier three times, each at his sternum.

Iivraena's arrogant smirk seemed to, if anything,, grow upon seeing her strikes connect with the man's body along with, at least she hoped to, prove her point on how his on deity was already abandoning him. "I can almost see Death right behind you... about to embrace you very soon. Don't worry though, it merely means your pain will end before it all becomes too much for you." She merely said, her tone in a sadistic sing-song one now as she kept her rapier at the ready.

As the cleric taunts, Alakdriirn clenches his fist, focusing into his palm before unleashing a blast of chilling darkness from it towards the cleric. As the cold impacts, frost begins to form on the cleric's body before he becomes completely solidified in the dark cold.

The pit fiend snarls as the Cyric-thrall poofs away from her clutches, but relaxes a bit when she sees the ice form around him.

"Nicely done. I don't recognize the effect. Have you killed him, or do we need to finish the job?"

Iivraena smirked, running a hand over Alakdriirn's shoulder then slid it down off of it. "Indeed. Very well done." She cooed softly in Undercommon. As she heard Theda's question, she shook her head no. "There's no way he's still alive... not in that block of ice. So, we don't need to finish the job... however..... I won't object if you wish to just for your amusement finish him off. I enjoy a good show every now and again." If Theda did indeed want to kill the man off, she'd wait for her to do so, otherwise she'd go on ahead with her.

Nicos draws one of his long knives, and it lights up like a burning brand as he hefts it in front of his face. He smiles.
He throws it up like a baton and deftly catches it, and begins sauntering toward the entrance to the next chamber.
"I suppose I should take point," Nicos says Idiot elf is weaker than I am.

At a gesture from Theda, both she and Tonn lunge at the frozen figure and tear it to bloody gobbets.

As you enter the arena room the Heresy Elemental seem to be doing minimal damage to the beast as he swipes his way against them.

The icy bloody chunks fly everywhere, as they break apart a begin to melt a lage iron orb drops to the ground, it appears to be unphased and unscratched by the attacks you earlier caused.

The job done, Theda directs Tonn to scoop the ball into the bag around his neck. She turns to Alakdriirn with a small nod.

"Iivraena said that you have a talent for sensing magic. I don't think he's going to be using any of his toys any more. Care to have a look around and see if there's anything worth salvaging?"

Licking the frosty blood from her fingers, Theda glances around, looking for other exits or odd features to the room.

As the beast howls it is crushed into itself as the towers spark to life again opening two more portals through which two more of the hellspawn step through. (they will go last since they were just summoned)

The room seems solid with no ins or outs save the alter, it appears to be able to be moved though it would take great force to do so.

"Damn," Nicos muttered.
He pointed at one of the newly emergent beasts and focused his power. A lightning bolt of blue-black hellfire lept from his fingers, arcing from one beast to the next.

The last two are against the two beasts that haven't acted yet, allowing me to use the sneak attack-like mountebank ability on them.

Theda points at the seam and scrape marks at the base of the massive altar.

"Ah, you see that? It seems likely that this can be moved. If need be, we could just tear the altar apart. However, there may be a more judicious application of force available to us."

She nods, and Tonn becomes a pit fiend very similiar in aspect to Theda's form. Together, they put flaming hands to the altar and push in what Theda hopes is the right direction.

As the altar moves, it seems that Tonn wasn't needed as much as you thought. The stairs revealed are a bit steep. There is no railing and some of the steps look worn.
