Carter takes a step back, blinking at the ghost. Byron sniffs arrogantly, speaking for the both of them again. "We are representatives from the Queendom of Scarcsil. By our Lady's orders, we are to contact and open diplomatic relationships with any non-hostile organizations or societies present in the 'Nexus'. Would this camp happen to be a colony of the Acronymian Empire, or an independent settlement?"

"We have cordial relations with the Empire, though no formal agreement has been drafted." Ironbeard says.

[Rae Artemi]

She grins. "Sure enough."

Rae grabs Emily by the waist and jumps, putting them back on the floor, and then he creates three balls of denim.

Alright, I'm going to float these toward you, and you need to make them go around yourself.

One of the balls floats toward Emily.

[Lix Lorn]

She nods, trying to control the orb, reaching out with her powers in a similar way to the combat scenario.

[Rae Artemi]

The ball flies toward her more quickly, stopping right before it hits her.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Combat and control work differently, and when you tried to manipulate it like you were in combat, it responded as if it was being used as a weapon. For control, you need to let it do what it wants. Guide it without obstructing it, and it will go where you guide. Let's try again.

The ball comes back to Rae, and then floats toward Emily again.

[Lix Lorn]

"...ow." she complained.

((Rae stopped it before it hit her. ))

"Ugh." she complained. "Okay..."

She tried again, more carefully, trying to give it energy to do what it wanted instead of manipulating it.

"We have cordial relations with the Empire, though no formal agreement has been drafted." Ironbeard says.

"Then this will only take longer. Carter?" Byron doesn't exactly look happy about it. He defers to his companion, the half-elf stepping forward. He's a bit shorter than Byron, possessing less broad features too. Thin and kind face, softer voice.

"As Byron said, we are with the Queendom of Scarcsil. We've been looking for the Nexus for years, and we intend to establish our new capital here. We're just trying to get to know our future neighbors." He smiles in a friendly manner. "Now, if you'd be willing to supply us with some information, and maybe sign a treaty or two, we'll be on our way."

"I'm afraid we can't sign treaties. We're an organization dedicated to pastoral care, and political alliances would interfere with that." Ironbeard says.

[Murkus]

"Oh. No treaties then." Carter looks a little confused as to what exactly GLoG is. "So. Your 'GLoG' is seperate from any established government? An entirely volunteer organization, I assume?"

"Correct." Ironbeard says.

((Sadly, I must deadtime. Anyone else who wants to take over as Ironbeard is welcome to. He believes in GLoG's mission, but is simply posing as the 'person in charge' because he sees that Quinn is overworked.))

The ball continues to float toward Emily at the same rate, bouncing off of her chest, and heading back toward Rae.

Better, at least it didn't go faster this time. You can't be totally submissive though. You need to create flows that will guide it where you want, without trying to stop it from doing what it wants.

The ball floats back at Emily.

[Lix Lorn]

She groaned in irritation, and tried again, attempting to tell it where to go, soothingly, instead of aggressively.

The ball floats around her, and back toward Rae.

Good, now I'll add the second.

Two balls, side to side, float toward Emily.

She nods slowly, concentrating again, trying to persuade both of them now.

For her part, Kris is just waiting for Riv to calm down...or for Quinn to do something.

In fact, she probably won't have much to do even when that happens. <.<;

The balls both flow to one side of Emily, and one hits her in the shoulder.

Heh, this almost always happens. You tried to direct them with the same flow, and they both went the same way. Use your hands to direct them in different directions, and start one a little later than the other.

They float toward Emily.

Riv undeadtimes, finally fixing his sudden computer failure. His text color also returns to normal.

What?! Why would I shoot myself?! This doesn't make any sense, especially seeing as I've been shot before and this hasn't happened. And I'll swear all I like. He says, although notably not swearing.

Kris knocks on the door to Rose's room in the Chery Cabin! She wishes to talk to a friend who she hasn't had time to speak to in awhile!

The balls float around Emily, one taking a wider arc than the other, and then come back to Rae.

Good, good, now for the tricky threes.

All three balls float at Emily, with the third in the middle of, and higher than, the other two.
