The day after I convert my stupid Magistrate's Mullet to my awesome Manly Mountebank's Mullet, I craft a hat that's several hats, all stacked.

Much though I like Saxton Hale, I think Gaston has this one.

Yeah. I keep thinking "I have money I could blow. I should unbox some crates." I hear about people finding these unusuals at a much better rate than the crates suggest. But then I see another story of gunslingers or whatever and think ... "Naaaah."

As someone who has unboxed two unusuals let me tell you that its really not worth it. You've all heard about my unusual hats but what you haven't heard about is my secret shame ...three Gunslingers in a row washed down with a Charge 'n' Targe and L'etranger. Seriously I unbox a lot of crates and it almost always fills me with regret and shame when I do it, I really need to convince myself to stop doing it. Just trade your crates for metal or something its better that way.

The reason that I've only tried to get series 4 crates is that I saw the odds on the drops from those, and there's around a 30% chance of a good hat. I'm pretty sure I'll open 8 series 4s and then won't get keys until the next series of crates with good drops shows up.

Yeah I've switched to passive trading. No longer looking for deals. Just letting them come to me.

3rd crate I unboxed hand an unusual. I kept going and did like another 10, getting jack each time.

I opened four, got crap. The only halfway notable thing was a L'Etranger, which I hadn't had -- but Spy is one of my least-played classes, so...

If I can trade it for a Shortstop or something else I'd value, it'll be worth it.

See, this is it. I'd like an unusual hat, which I could then (I imagine) trade in various stages into the hats that I want. I'd settle for normal hats, as they too can be traded for other hats. So I suspect I'll occasionally open crates till I get an unusual hat.

But it'll have fleas or hearts or something.

Highlights of that campaign game:

Spotting the Tank waiting for us by the exit on Dark Carnival 4 and promptly shooting him down.

Setting fire to kpenguin while he was down in spitter goo.

Getting most friendly fire and highest accuracy.

Saving everyone on the finale with my sniper grenades.

kpenguin downing both me and him, in the safe room, after the rollercoaster, by throwing a pipe bomb just as I shut the door so it bounces back at us and our 1hp each. We had to wait for Icyn to actually come save us.

I just played a series of Left 4 Dead 2 games. I don't even have it for a week and I was one of the best players in the game.

First game, that mall level where you have to refuel the car, we manage to get ourselves to the elevator. As it was going down, the team I was with were all talking and planning how we should get the fuel cans. So when the elevator gets to the bottom, we all cram at the door. Instantly when the door opens, a boomer vomits and blows up on all of us. A charger then speeds in, followed by a hunter and a smokers tounge. By sheer chance, I was the only one who was not suppressed and after tossing a cocktail at the elevator entrance, I rescued all the suvivors so quickly that we were all green after we killed the infected. However, things were going down hill from there. My allies were all idiots, camping around the car just shooting zombies. I finally get fed up and start getting all the gas tanks on my own, 1 by 1. 3 tanks later with very minimal involvement on my part, I'm carrying the last fuel can. The recent tank was busy chasing after my allies and killing them that no one noticed me fill up the last can just as my last ally died died. It still counted as a win!

Games thereafter, I was playing alot of infected. I managed to latch onto a suvivor as a jockey and managed to walk them all the way from their team into a sucluded, yet zombie infested area, and killed them in less than 30 seconds. As a charger, I got several guys confess that they wet their pants when I suddenly charged them the moment their head popped around the corner. I even got the long distance achievement for one of those charges. Also, being the tank = win in tight, enclosed spaces. As a suvivor, chainsawing the tank = win in tight enclosed spaces when tank is focusing you allies and not you doing the chainsawing.

Anyways, I won every game tonight, not dying once (As a suvivor). I really want to play with you guys sometime.
