I see no reason to believe otherwise.
It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.

If you want to stay in touch, reach out to me on twitter (same username).

The best answer is always to ask your DM.
Unless you're the DM, in which case you should talk to your players.

That seems most likely, but it's not out of the question for it to be some sort of herb or other plant type thing. Lots of that stuff is named after animals. Still, my vote is for "yes it is real dragon bile."
Witty sig here nosey, aren't ya?

dragon's bile has a large chance of actually being dragon's bile.

Actually, it's dragonne's bile, but it didn't market nearly so well before they changed the name.

If you're looking for a serious answer, where did you see it mentioned, and in what context? It sounds like either real dragon bile or some kind of plant or poison (or even alcohol - who knows?).

I'm pretty sure its a poison from the DMG that deald 3d6 strength damage, no secondary affect. The bile in living dragons is presumably not refined enough to do that kind of strength damage.

You'll never get out of life alive,
So please kill yourself and save this land,
And your last mission is to spread my command,"

Should a dragon ever eat you alive, don't squeeze the liver.

I suspect that's it's just a poison given that name to reflect its dangerous qualities.
