Yes, but the longer I scrutinize, the more I am able to uncover. If possible I would prefer to focus on that thing exciting her.

DM, a question about a particular use of a spell.

Could I use the Forces 3 spell Control Electricity to kill people with brains?

The idea being that I either reduce or increase the electrical flow in their brains/central nervous system to a point where they are brain dead due to lack of stimulation or their brain fries.

Another application would be to cause Ark to loose control of his eternal body by reducing its electrical flow.

I want to know if I really can threaten to kill people without leaving any forensic evidence.

Is it as bad as Katastrofi 5's 20 mile blast radius, 1 shot every three seconds? Still I bet you it's not as good as Apokolypsi 5.

    A gold ring.
    Katastrphi

Core Modifier: +5 Aggravated damage, 8 again.
    Range: Thrown
    Fault: None.

As for the spell, write it up first and I will have a look at it. In theory it seems ok, although I don't think it would qualify as covert.

Just with regards the Ark electrical thing, remember Ark is a mane, so not wholly powered by normal things, also I'm not sure how that would interact with the whole calculus vampire/ universal power port. Although I doubt very much it'd function as a kind of speel power stealer/ anti magic drainer.

Speaking of which I'm thinking of making one of those Ark's first thesis....

It seems I will just have to aspire to Forces 6 then. At which point I can invoke a nuclear explosion at will.

Question about the ring; the ten to twenty mile radius. Am I reading that right? This thing allows you to kill everything in 314 to 1256 square miles for the low low cost of 5-20 mania and 2 min or so?

Edit: What is the weather like outside and are there any open flames in the bar?

+5 Damage becomes an Explosive Force of 2, so it's more like sevearly injure everyone in 10 miles (2 + 2 dice Agg) and hurt people between 10 and 20 miles (2 dice Agg).

Most people would survive, but if you build it differently (a cannon that leaves you safely outside the blast) then you fire one shot every 3 seconds and wipe out a city. The sample wonder for this actually encorages the GM to have time travellers come from the future to undo whatever the player might eventually use if for.

Might I give an OOC warning against Alari attacking Lilly, she's just accused him and attacking now might just convince people he actually is a spy. Also she's aggressive and holding his head. If you do start casting, any relevant rules I should know about? If you need it, Lilly's Defence is four and here's an Initiative roll so I won't hold up play if you score better than me.

The weather is dry and no there are no open flames.

As for the ring the inner radius is 10 miles, and there is a secondary radius of 20 miles with 5 mania a shot and 30 seconds between shots. And that is pathetic for a Doom Cannon when you look at the Rail Gun and Orbital Cannon variables.

    Electrochemical Disruption (Forces )
The mage alters the amperage of the myriad action potential that occur in the central nervous system of a living thing. This can result in unconsciousness or death.

    Practice: Fraying
Action: Instant and contested; target rolls Stamina+Gnosis reflexively
    Duration: Transitory
    Aspect: Vulgar
    Cost: None

At this level the mage can only knock people unconscious be reversing or blunting action potential. At Forces 4 the mage can do lethal damage and may kill the target.

    DM, your approval please.

Would you provide a page number for knockout rolls please?

Also, at Forces 4 is there any special benefit to it when I can make electricity from nowhere? Doubling the amperage of the brain's action potential would have the almost immediate effect of turning it into jelly. Not trying to get an I win button, just asking.

Edit: and would it be vulgar? There strokes and such that replicate the symptoms.

    Page ref for what?

Nasty, Mages get much better instant knockouts than Geniuses. Then again, it costs you an extra dot so it's fair.

Brain to Jelly sounds like another Agg attack but without any need for weather (or automatic successes). Probably best to just pick a good Mind attack spell and replace Mind with Forces.

I could have looked into stating up up at Forces 2 where all I could do was reverse the current of electricity. That does unpleasant things to the brain too

Seems that Genii get better destroy the world stuff though. Then again, Forces 6+Space 2 allows free nuking of anywhere on the planet.

    You Ninjaed me

Geniuses can get anywhere on the planet too for Katastrofi five effects. Sadly we don't get 6th dots in anything but given what they can do at 5, that would be unplayablely powerful.

Destroying the world is awesome but kinda pointless, for useful powerful techniques look no further than tanks, jets, robots and mass producing the preceding three. Beholden are also really powerful, it's like having Sleepwalkers but an entire volcano fortress full of them. Someone has to drive the tanks and jets.

Mages do have the advantage of being able to do things off the cuff though. Plus, they have some rather fun little numbers such as cursing an entire city of such with misery and bad luck. Or... Creating matter from nothing or destroying it utterly. Law of Conservation of Mass be shanked.

Edit: Geas people for generations, exist in an indefinite number of places at once, Rewrite History, etc. And that is 5 dots. Six becomes... interesting.

Wouldn't he be defending the lab? No matter how horrible our city destroying antics were a natural part of history.

Also, Mister Shark is the coolest NPC in all of the WoD!
