Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
Archer-Whelp draws his bow - though not fully taut so as not to fatigue himself - and readies to shoot any iceman he sees coming out of the cave. Menek is on 'lookout' duty so Archer can focus on the opening without being blind to any 'sidewinders.' He takes his place behind a tree and tries to blend in.

Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
The cloaked whelp begins rallying the spirit wolves. "I apologize for taking command over you as my elders, but as you cannot speak to us please allow me to do my best."
He organises them in formation at the chokepoint, leaving a gap for the whelps and prisoners to flee through and close immediately. With his spear he takes position in the second row, reaching over the wolves backs and deepening his stance, ready to meet an assault.
Connecting himself to the spirits of metal he tries to draw on the strength inside him. The spear in his hands feels strange and alien to him, as he cannot feel through the wood the way he could through his blade. He breathes deeply. All that is left for him to do is wait.

Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
The whelp with the axes takes up the defensive position at the front, along with the wolves and the cloaked whelp. Having no particularly long weapon, she is limited to the use of her axes. Knowing, however, that her greataxe is surely too unwieldy to use effectively in these tight quarters, and with allies about her, she instead draws out her hand-axe, a small, but still deadly hatchet designed for use as a tool and a weapon. "Now is our time, brothers," she says to the wolves and the whelp. After a moment of brief thought, she adds, "Should we hear a call for aid, we in the first row shall make our way inside to lend our strength."

Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
Icemen cave fight, the central cave, second round
The sinuous whelp continues to strike at the Iceman, using a roundhouse kick to the head, hoping to silence him before he can raise an alarm. The kick connects, but the icemen shrugs it off easily.
The knife-whelp recovers gracefully, turning his stumble into a momentum shift as he ducks low, whirls around and slams his dagger towards the guard's open neck, his other hand seizing the guard's arms to yank them behind him in a painful grapple. Alas, the iceman turns slightly and both the knife and the arm strike only empty air.
The icemen recover from their initial surprise. All 3 shout the alarm as they grab their weapons. The iceman who had been sitting stands up and runs towards the cave in the back while the other two form a line to defend the entrance.
The knife-whelp sees an oportunity when he is offered one and jumps on the turning iceman, throwing him to the ground locking his arms behind his back.
The smallest whelp continues her assault, feinting quickly towards the guards throat before once again slicing her barbed blade at the femoral artery. She misses the iceman clearly.

Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
Hearing the howl of the small whelp from inside, the axe-wielding girl looks back to the cloaked one and nods, before speaking aloud to the wolf-spirits with her in the first row. "We are called, pack-brothers!"
Dashing ahead into the cave with her row of wolves, she sings out a new battle-song, her melodic voice echoing through the cave and ringing out over the sounds of battle within, a clarion call that seems to urge her allies to victory.
"In this dark and stony lair,
Our fellow Wolves are hid and bound,
Bring tooth and claw and blade to bear,
And strike our foes unto the ground!"

The spirit wolves hit the caves like a storm, ending combat within an blink before continuing into the area that houses the rest of the icemen. In the wake of that wave of translucent fur, claws and teeth, you are left with the corpses of 3 icemen guards and a tunnel to explore that hold the prisoners.

The whelp with the axe watches the others head off to find the prisoners, and then moves on to follow the wolves towards the rest of the icemen, to oversee the battle. By her reasoning, she will be able to determine if reinforcements are necessary.

Re: The Tribes of Tell Amakh (Part 1 IC)
The spirit wolves have all but disapeared into the tunnel leading to the next cave. As the whelp with the axe follows them the sounds of battle that get louder with each step he takes are strangely onesided and off, hinting at the icemen's surprise and inability to react to the assault. Then, as he closes on the last bend in the tunnel, a ghostly howl from many wolven throats comes towards him, followed by more normal sounds of combat. It seems the icemen have found a means of combating their new foe, after all.
The recue group heads into the other tunnel and reaches the next cave quickly. In front of them 2 guards stand ready to fight. Behind the icemen guards, another icemen is crouching above the helpless form of a female help, small and obviously malnourished. His knife is at her throat.
The other whelp, a male much stronger and bigger, lies unconscious beside her.

Seeing the guard in the back as the greater threat, the knife-whelp dashes forward quickly, diving to the ground and rolling between the two guards before springing nimbly to his feet and launching himself at the third man, his arms reaching for the man's dagger hand.
