Tasunke had meditated for long enough. Carefully and calmly he broke his internal solitude and made his way to his tent. There he fetched his shield, checking his scimitar and slideing it neatly into the sheath behind the shield.
He tucked his knives into his boots and up his sleeve before picking up his spear.
The spear was elegant, though hardly the work of a master spearmaker. But it had been carved from a single branch of birch Tasunke had found. The white wood glinted in the half-light. He had decorated just behind the tip of the spear with a selection of beads and bright paints. The combination to was to make the weapon appear far more fearsome than it actually was.

Tasunke made his way over to where most of the whelps seemed to have gathered. There seemed to be a curious air about the camp, a tenseness.
As he got closer to the group he watches as Balegas approaches. Tasunke reaches them and stand just behind the main circle as Balegas points to first four others, then lastly him. In the firelight Tasunke locks eyes, seeing the fear and anger deep within the old man and nods. He waits until the chosen move and follows, holding to the rear.

As they move he notices something, a girl his age, weilding a large and dangerous looking axe. For a moment he is distracted as he watches her large well developed muscles flex under her clothing as she stands.
Now there is a real woman. he thinks to himself.
Tasunke snaps himself back to the task at hand. Better to not let his lust get the better of him right now. He must remain focused.

Quietly and with his mind full of conflicting thoughts he followed.

Eshalyn seems rather indifferent to the summons of the chief, almost as if she didnt care, or was going to disagree with him. However, the moment passes, and with an elegant shrug of her shoulders, she follows him, her movements still as sinuous as before.

You all assemble in the center of the circle of tribe chiefs, the center of their attention. Besides Balegas the Grey, who brought you, there is Orea, chief of Tell Bagol, Lovag of Tell Ló, Madar of Tell Rhacid, Ravasz of Tell Rók and the current head of all tribes, Bika of Tell Grach.

Balegas the Grey, chief of the wolves, is of middle height, lean and clan in grey leather armor. His piercing gaze and prematurely grey hair give him a strong resemblance to his clan's totem animal. His weapon of choice, a hooked sword, hangs on his back. Behind him in the grass, his companion, Iceeyes, stands easily as tall as a small horse, his grey fur and many scars proof of experience and prowess.

Orea is the only elderly in the circle, her long white hair hanging down in a single braid. One of her eyes is white, blinded while the other is deep brown. She carries no weapon, but stories about her talk of mastery of not only one elemental spirit but many. Despite her physical weakness she is well respected and her voice carries almost as much weight as that of Bika, who sits beside her. Her companion, Álmos, is a small arctic owl that seems to be asleep on her shoulder.

Bika is huge, over 2 meters tall and broad as a bull. His heavy chain and leather armor, heavy steel shield and double axe look manacing enough, but his Gargan companion Morsa makes him look almost harmless. The huge bull has black fur and horns that are filed to renk and rake.

Lovag is the second woman in the circle, showing clan Ló's gender neutral attitude. She is tall and thin, with long black hair worn open like a mane. Twin scimitars make up her weapons of choic, but she is said to be deadly with the bow as well. Her horse is Csillag, the dominant stallion of the whole herd of the clan.

Madar is sitting next to her, his brown hair cropped short, wearing no armor but armed with a heavy spear, the chosen weapon of many in his clan. Behind him his companion Orjás has settled down in a crouch, legs bent and beak low, but looks ready to pounce on anyone foolish enough to atract his attention.

Next in line is Ravasz, the head of the foxes, who carries his long red hair open in the wind. He looks unarmed, but everybody knows of his legendary ability to defeat his enemies in any known form of combat. At his feet lies a small grey fox, curled up and seemingly fast asleep, but careful observation reveals that the animal is awake and alert.

Of all the assembled chiefs, only one reveals her mood: Orea of Tell Bagol looks worried, but smiles at you as you approach, encouraging you to stand bold and proud.

The archer - though his periperhal sees them easily enough - does not make any signs of deference. They are watchers, and only participate when they participate. The archer believes that focusing on the one leading them - until such time as attention is brought to the other clan leaders - shows the best respect for this particular occasion.

He stands as a tree - his breath is expansive, his arms angle to allow this, he is tall, but is not stiff so much as he is still. He is as his element; it is as if he was carved of wood. He is tall and relatively straight, but does not assume a pose of "attention" so much as he actually pays attention. His eyes do not focus directly ahead in tunnel vision, regardless of the ceremony; he is a hunter in the teepee and without. Ever alert.

The axe-wielding whelp stands quietly alert, her eyes darting between the many chiefs. Her gaze lingers for a few moments on Balegas, as if trying to glean some inkling of what this is all about from his expression alone, but as her eyes fall upon Bika, she is noticeably impressed. She had seen a few of the warriors of Tell Grach from a distance when she first arrived, but their chief was awe-inspiring upon close inspection. Such powerful, commanding strength, and such wicked-looking weapons -- not to mention the Gargan beside him.

She dismisses her concerns and waits patiently, knowing that if she dwells too long on recent events or questions too much, it will show in her expression; such uncertainty was inexcusable, especially after the raid. She had to be strong, show no fear, for fear would lead to certain failure, and she had come too far to fail now. Whatever this 'special task' was, she would be ready for it.

After a few seconds, Bika looks you all over, then speaks up: "As you all know there has been an attack on the members of our fellow clan of the wolves. Balegas demands retribution and he shall have it. But we need to gather our forces before we can strike hard enough to teach the intruders a lesson. So we need some time. Balegas asked for a force of warriors to follow and harrass the icemen until we can strike, but we of the council have decided to take another approach. As the warriors present here are needed for the tests we decided to send you out to find and follow the icemen. This will be your test, your namegiving. You will have a chance to proves yourselves worthy of a name, of being a warrior. First of all you need to find one among you to lead the pack. Be careful who you chose. You will go to the place of the ambush, it is about 3 days march north of here and the wolves among you should have an easy time finding it. Then you will find the icemen's trail and follow it for 3 days or until you have determined their goals. After that you will return to the ambush sire, where we will meet up with you, with a force strong enough to teach them a lesson. If you manage to find the icemen and remain undetected while scouting their strength, you have won your name and you will be included into a tribe. Should you get into a fight and win, you will be accepted as well, depending on the circumstances and results. Prove us right in placing our trunst in you. Any questions?"

There was an attack on the wolf clan?? he thought in surprised. Obviously word had only just come into the camp along with the clan wolf whelps, whilst he meditated.
The shame of being the last to know spurred him forward to do something that he would not normally do.

Tasunke stepped forward, he stood straight, puffing his chest slightly and held his spear firm.
"I am born of raised of horse clan. I will gladly take up your charge to track and scout the ice men. Should the spirits decide that battle be joined then my heart shall sing with joy as each of our enemies fall beneath my blade and their blood is returned to mother earth as payment for those lost to us from clan wolf. Should no other desire the duty I am willing to lead our group to these goals and make proud all the clans present here today."

The axe-whelp looks to the one who calls himself Tasunke, and shakes her head slowly. Stepping forward as well, she speaks up, "I appreciate this Horse's enthusiasm, but I believe it should be a Wolf who leads us in this. It was Tell Farh that was wronged by these Icemen, and so it should fall to Tell Farh to lead the effort against them. Not to do this would be a sign of weakness. And we of the Wolf clan are not weak!"

Her olive-green eyes shine brightly with a fiery defiance and purpose as she continues. "We know the northern forests, and we know where we were attacked. We could probably recognize the group of Icemen that dared attack us. I don't care which of us takes charge -- so long as it is a Wolf leading this pack."

Her spirit and mind are as strong as her body, this is good.

"Your words are wise to my young ears, we must indeed be shown to be strong as a collection of tribes, but also wolf-clan must show it's strength. She then turns and steps forward until she stands at the front of the group before the elders, "I have two requests. The first is simple enough, supplies for my pack. The second ..."
She pauses, looking at each of the elders in turn, a glance at Belegas, a longer look at Orea and Bika, and then a slightly less lengthy look at Lovag and Madar, followed by a long, considering look at Ravasz, "... She stands there, small, yet resolute, facing the tribal elders without hesitation as she shoulders the responsibility of leading.
