    Description: Unfortunately, no avatar. Yet. He's a huge goliath with a greataxe in each hand. Both of his arms are rotting, and look as though they don't belong on his body. He usually covers these, but on his first few days in town he didn't. He wears some leather armour, but makes a great deal of show out of his muscular chest. He wears a thick leather belt, studded with iron. Chaotic neutral. Doesn't hurt for fun. Usually helps people out, but will take work, even if it is evil.
    Stats: Fighter/Barbarian. He was rich, but spent most of his money on strength-boosting items and his shop. Now his strength is something like 38. Maybe more. He Dual-wields greataxes.
    Backstory: *sigh* - gotta go, will edit this tonight.
    Common Knowledge: Not much. New to Town. Some know that he established a business selling animals, vehicles, and accessories. But most think it's run by an elf he hired. Eventually, he'll change the name and declare ownership. Loves animals, and usually hides his rotting arms. No house so far, sleeps in a hammock strung in a tent in his horse field.
    Ongoing Storyline: New to town, looking for work/house. ((Trying to learn to role play better, and learn these town rules)). Recently set up a shop selling animals, vehicles and accessories.

    Name: Henry Calhoun
    Race: Human
    Class: Gunslinger/Bounty Hunter
    Alignment and Temperament: Chaotic Good. Henry is gruff and cynical, possesses a sarcastic demeanor, and doesn't like authority. Despite that, he has a kind heart and thinks that what he does makes the world a better place for everyone else

    Appearance: Rather than typing it all out, I have taken the liberty of making a HeroMachine picture.
    Equipment: Henry dresses in stereotypical "cowboy-clothes" and carries two very, very large guns, which he calls the Dioskouroi. The gun in his right hand he calls "Castor" while the gun in his left hand he calls "Pollux". He carries so much extra ammunition on his person that he jingles, jangles, clinks and clunks when he walks. He also has a large, serrated hunting-knife tucked into his right boot.
    Speech Color: Henry Calhoun speaks in sienna.

    [Backstory]
    Henry was born the son of David and Martha Calhoun in a mid-sized town in a nation on a planet that's on the other side of the solar system. Now, on that particular planet crime's a pretty nasty problem. In fact, crime was so much of a problem that when he came of age, Henry decided to do what he could about it... clear the air a little bit. Tidy up. Take out the trash. The unfortunate thing about that is, vigilantism's pretty damn illegal and after a few years Henry found himself on the run from not only the criminal scumbags that he was trying to get rid of but also from the forces of the law, who saw him as nothing more than a trouble-maker of the highest degree. He saved up what he could and bought himself a ride to Town, where he's setting himself up as a bounty hunter. Hell, if he's going to get in trouble for wasting bad guys, he might as well get paid, too.

    [Common knowledge]
    Henry talks with an accent that is suspiciously similar to that used by those peoples that live in the western United States.
    Henry's a bounty hunter. For the right price, he'll put a bullet in someone's head. Hell, he'll put a bullet in someone's anything. But only if that someone's a bad guy.
    Once hired, Henry will pursue his bounty with every resource available to him an won't back down until the bogie's in custody. Or dead. Preferable dead.
    Henry's got over a thousand scars and remembers the story behind each and every one of them. He thinks that they make good conversation pieces.

    Henry is a very talented gunfighter, and a more than competent knife-fighter to boot. He has practiced reloading the Dioskouroi so often that it takes him only five seconds per pistol to get them back up and firing.

    Race: SPARTAN II Supersoldier
    Class: Level 16 Marine with 11 levels in the SPARTAN II prestige class.
    Alignment and Temperament: Chaotic Neutral, leaning towards Chaotic Good. He focuses on staying alive, first and foremost. He's not above roughing someone up, or killing them, to get what he wants, but he'll avoid it if he can. He likes to try and bluff alot.
    Age: 42
    Height: Seven feet, three inches
    Weight: Approx. 2000 pounds
    Appearance: He looks like the Master Chief in his armor, only it's got purple and blue paint splattered all over him. Upon closer examination, the paint is clearly blood from Covenant Grunts, Jackals, and Elites. Apparently, he got into a messy encounter with Covenant troops.
    Equipment: An MA5C assault rifle, and an MD6 sidearm, with an M12 Combat Shotgun slung across his back, with plenty of ammunition for each. He has 12 grenades of each type(plasma, frag, bubble shield, etc.).
    Speech Color: Spartan 587 speaks in Sea Green.

    [Backstory]
    Spartan 587 is a member of the SPARTAN II Supersoldier project, and was in the same batch as the most prominent of SPARTANs, the Master Chief. He's one of the last two SPARTANs, but dissapeared prior to the events of Halo 2. His ship, the Spire of Quebec, jumped into Slipspace, and never emerged at their destination. As a result of a Slipspace anomaly, the ship wound up in Town's atmosphere, and crashed somewhere on the planet of Town. The ship's crash site has yet to be discovered.

    He's not used to magic, and is interested on seeing just how diverse the life-forms can get here in Town.

    (Much of the following is drawn from Warhammer 40k. The Imperium is the human realm. A Guard regiment is pretty much today's military, with better weapons)
    Colonel James Raneus
    RACE: Human
    GENDER: Male
    AGE:30
    HEIGHT: 6'0"
    PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Short brown hair, with a scar running down the right side of his face, which is "weathered". He has blue eyes. He is deceptively skinny- he is very muscular and strong.

    PERSONALITY: Raneus is very calm under most circumstances, and collected. He also has no desire to rule, and thus has no plans to take over Town. He has a ruthless streak, but it doesn't surface very often. He also can sometimes become extremely angry. It is theorized that his newly manifested psychic powers may have something to do with this extreme mood swing. Raneus also cannot stand lawbreaking, and has vigilante tendancies.

    CLASS: 10 levels in Trooper(fighter), 20 levels in Field Officer(custom class)
    ALIGNMENT: Lawful Neutral(Imperium commanders are forced to be ruthless and put the good of many over the good of a few. Raneus is more likely to favor the good side, and detests cults. K.N.A.V.E.S. falls under this. As does the FE, since they are(were?) working together.)

    BACKGROUND: Raneus enlisted in the Imperial Guard at the age of 18. He has seen many battles already, and rose to the position of regiment commander.
    Raneus is the commander of the 111th Valenian Legionaires. They were a member of an Imperium battlegroup containing a battleship, 2 cruisers, and 4 troop transports carrying 6 regiments of infantry, 2 armored regiments, and several superheavy tanks and titans. On the way to the next campaign, they were ambushed and attacked in warp space by a large number of daemons. Many were slain in the confusion, and the ships were forced to drop out of space in the Town system. Their inter-system drives are destroyed, and they are stuck here for the time being. Raneus is now the ranking officer. The remaining forces consist of 4 slightly understrength regiments of infantry(3000 infantrymen each) , 2 slightly understrength tank regiments, 6 superheavies, and 2 Warhound Titans.(Note: Raneus will never bring these forces down onto the surface except in extreme circumstances. Usually, he will only be accompanied by a squad or two of troopers at best. This is to avoid unrealistic circumstances, and also avoid uberness and help him fit better into town.)

    PSYCHIC POWERS:He is also manifesting minor psychic powers. He can detect all life and it's race within a 50 ft radius. He can create a weak energy shield as well that will absorb a small amount of damage before flickering out.

    EQUIPMENT: Hellgun(more powerful laser (las)gun). Carapace armor(full-body armor, but not quite powered armor.) For close combat, he has a chainsword (Sword-shaped chainsaw) and a bolt pistol (Pistol that fires exploding bullets of a very large caliber).

    COMMON KNOWLEDGE:He is the commander of the small group of spaceships that just arrived insystem. He is also known by all to be neutral, with good tendencies. It is also known that he does not wish to take over Town, and in fact will act against any that wish to. He despises KNAVES, the FE, and all groups associated with either faction.

    MAIN QUEST: Repair the drives and escape, while continuing to aid the inhabitants of Town in struggles against destructive and tyrannical groups.
    The battlegroup has set up a base camp several miles outside of Town to help facilitate this.

    Events of Note Since Arrival:
    Lead the Imperial Guard in storming the Police Station to free it from FE control. Ever since, the Imperial Guard have defended Town against all threats, ranging from the Slaun to the
    The Imperial Guard and the Blackout Raiders merged to form the TDI at one point. This was dissolved, and then re-formed later with the TDI and BR as separate entities.
    Raneus is beginning to have psychic “attacks” again.
    Raneus is now the Senior Officer for Patrols in the Police Department.

    (On a side note, Sereyentheous(The Randomizer) has accepted a commission as company commander. If he so wishes, he can have a 5-man Honor Guard squad equipped with hellguns and carapace armor accompany him. They are treated as NPC's under his control. He can also give orders to the 5th Company, although I have to approve them. You can request a commission if you like, PM me. You will have to prove that you stand for Raneus's values, though. It entitles you to an honor guard and a company of Guardsmen, much like described above.)

    Class: Epic-level psyker(equivalent of spellcaster)
    Height-6'2"
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    Age: Unknown, looks middle-aged, but with psykers it's hard to tell.

    Physical Description
    Jarus is very thin, as are most psykers. He has graying black hair. He is tall. He is clad in gray robes- his powers provide all the armor he needs.

    Personality: Jarus, like most psykers, is withdrawn and distant from ordinary people. However, he is rational and more or less "normal"-for a psyker, of course. He is incredibly rational and calm, and will virtually never be roused to anger.

    Background: At a young age, Jarus was identified as a psyker. His horrified parents immediately turned him over to the Black Ships of the Inquisition. They took him back to Terra. Sensing potential as a battle psyker, he was spared dying in the massive psychic chorus that is the Astronomican beacon. He is incredibly powerful and approaches Alpha-level power. However, he is physically very weak and is very poor at standard fighting, if his powers are negated.Like most psykers, he has gone through hell, but he has taken it better than most and more or less retained his sanity. He has been dispatched with the 76th battlegroup to investigate the disappearance of the 53rd. He has just detected a disturbance in the Warp. The 76th is now stranded along with the 53rd. He is the CO of the 76th.
    (Basically, he has all the strengths and weaknesses of a powerful spellcaster)

    Events since Arrival:
    Jarus aided Raneus and the Imperial Guard in both stormings of the TPD to free it from hostile control, first the FE and then the OoA. Ever since, he has mostly acted as a “sidekick” of sorts to Raneus. In fact, he really doesn’t care much about what happens most of the time.

    Name: Alon Talaus
    Race: Lizardman
    Alignment: Neutral

    Physical Description: About 6'7". His scales provide excellent armor protection, and he has had them enchanted. He looks like this(it's the second group of units, the one called "Lizardman".)

    Equipment: He has a magical sword, breastplate, shield, and helmet. They enhance his arcane power as well as his physical prowess. The sword is the mighty Titan's Thunder, a legendary artifact. He carries the Sentinel's Shield as well. His helm is the Thunder Helmet. His breastplate is the Armor of Wonder. He also possesses the Boots of Speed, and the orbs of Firmament, Driving Rain, Silt, and Tempestuous Fire, which enhance all four of his spell schools, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. About his shoulders, he wears the Cape of Conjuring.(note- these are all actual artifacts taken from the game HoMM 3.)

    Background: He was born in the swamps of Tatalia. He made a name for himself leading border skirmishes and raids with the savage barbarians of Krewlod. He became a battle mage, adept at fighting and spellcasting. Unusually for an inhabitant of Tatalia, which traditionally has not concerned themselves with the more powerful magicks, he went wandering at the age of 27. It is presumed he learned his newfound arcane power on that journey, although not much about it has been revealed. He returned eight years later, just in time for the skirmishes with Erathia and the full-fledged war with Krewlod. He was invaluable in turning the tide of several of these battles, as the Krewlodians were unprepared to deal with his powerful magic abilities. He has made it to the swamp of Town, and is currently in the process of beginning to erect a base there. The creatures that make up his guards (and eventually army) can be found here


    Events since Arrival:
    Became host to the Town’s Thieves Guild. It was his private army that beat off the Royal Navy when they attacked the Guild in an attempt to destroy it. Since then, he has hosted the Guild in his Swamp Castle with no further events of note. He also works as a mercenary from time to time.

    Race: Human
    Age: Unknown, young
    Class: Callidus Assassin
    Height: 5'11
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Appearance: Normally wears the full-body black synthskin jumpsuit of her Ordos. She has long brown hair. She is in very good physical condition, and is rather attractive.
    Background: Erica was originally a Callidus Assassin of the Imperium of Man. She is fairly new, but has already proven her skill and ruthless efficiency. During the last campaign she was involved in, she was exposed to Chaos during an attack on a Chaos cult. Although mostly unharmed, it did slightly warp her personality. She killed several Guardsmen and escaped the planet in her ship. The Chaos exposure had given her the desire to escape the Imperium and make her own path.(Essentially, it shifted her alignment from Lawful to Chaotic.)
    Personality: Erica is not really known to have any respect at all for authority. She has the ruthless streak that comes with all assassins- however, the exposure to Chaos energies has "softened" her personality somewhat. Occasionally, though, the Chaos energies cause her to become murderous and cold-hearted. This happens rarely.

    Events since Arrival:
    Erica joined the Thieves’ Guild shortly after arriving in Town. She later rose to the position of Assistant Guildmaster, and after Artemis’s death, became Guildmaster. She is attempting to manage the unaccustomed responsibilities of this new role, while simultaneously starting to feel human again.

    Equipment: An assortment of magical items, some for learning, some for combat. He has no need for a weapon, as he attacks with magical energy in combat, even when not using spells.

    Backstory: He has studied magic as long as he has been alive, and served the Elemental Confluxes for most of that time. He is a veteran of the Restoration Wars, and was with the Confluxes when they aided the Erathians in defeating the Kreegans before they could use Armageddon's Blade. He has an innate ability to summon elementals
    These are the creatures that serve him. The stats don't matter, the pictures are for reference. Pixies are weakest, Phoenix is strongest, the four basic elemental types are same power level, more or less, and the upgrades slightly stronger then the base elementals.

    Description: Eight feet tall, with a bull snout, horns, hooved feet, all that jazz. Wears a suit of golden plate armor, and carries a massive battleaxe. He has several other artifacts that appear to be magical in nature, as well as several ornate spellbooks as well. He has many scars inflicted by what appear to be other melee weapons.

    Personality: Domineering, cruel, likes to be in charge. He has a ruthless streak as well, and won't hesitate to turn on his own side if they are no longer useful to him in some circumstances.

    Backstory: He was recently deposed from the throne of his underground kingdom by a rival Dungeon Overlord, and has come to Town seeking mercenaries and revenge.


    Karvet the Vampire Hunter

    Race: Tla'keth
    Age: 35

    Description: All Tla'keth are around 6'5" to 7'. They have green skin and are very skinny. He carries a crossbow, bags of holding filled with various items, and a sword bathed in garlic. He also has psionic powers and a holy symbol that can release a blast of holy energy once every six hours.

    Backstory:The Tla'keth are a race of beings dedicated to eradicating supernatural beings and influences. Each Tla'keth chooses a path in childhood, and that path determines what kind of influence it is their mission to eradicate. Karvet chose to specialize in undead, especially Vampires. He has hunted and fought them for many years, and has followed another one to Town.

    A Vala is a user of Seid. A vala has turned his/her body into a natural, nonmagical portal and creates magic-like effects from energies and the very life of her body.
    Antimagic and dispel magic only partially work on Seid.
    Counterspelling doesn't work at all.
    Negative energy removes the life energy from a vala's galdr (galdr = spell for a Seid user) and makes it wild, essentially countering Seid.
    Using seid will wear down a Vala's strength as the day passes, and will saturate their body with energy that prevents many spells and powers of any type from working on them, even if they are helpful.

    Seid, unlike other forms of magic and supernatural powers, has few set rules or boundaries, and can show itself in thousands of forms and ways- even encompassing other magical and supernatural arts in their entirety. Therefore, it becomes extremely difficult to define, but for the purposes of masters in the art of Seid, and therefore the true practitioners (rather than the users of some other magic) the definition becomes this:

    Seid- the art of turning one's body into a natural, living gateway of energy, which the gateway learns to fully manipulate via their natural connection with it, and their will.
    Because Seid requires one's body to be intimately connected with the energies they use, a Seid user (known as a Vala) will unavoidably use bits of their own lifeforce when channeling their energies to do their will. (A single use of Seid, or a "spell," is known as a galdr. The plural form is "galdrar.") Thus, a Seid user will swiftly exhaust their own energy long before the energies they wield are depleted, and this causes them pain and a limited amount of channeling. (Having their life force within the energies is also how they control and direct it. Removing life force from her energies will make the galdr go wild and uncontrolled. Furthermore, for all purposes, a galdr is part of the Vala's body)
    Furthermore, a Seid user's body will become flooded, or saturated with energy the more they work with it in a day. This also pushes the bodies limits in a negative way (like an overabundance of positive energy would) and normally prevents healing, or most other energy induced powers directed at them. Draining the energy is also extremely hazardous as it, again, is connected to the vala's life force.

    Now, the way a vala chooses what energies to use, and how they manipulate those energies into say... throwing a fireball rather than setting themself on fire is as follows (though not in the particular order I list- there are differences based on the order of steps, which will be noted later)

    A vala will select which energies she/he wishes to use simply by opening herself to her natural connections with them (like opening a portal with a spell, or, more appropriately, a natural portal being created like one would open and close their hand) and channeling them into themself. There is, however, a limit to the number of energies a vala can channel at one time, though they can switch between energies in the middle of crafting a galdr, and therefore utilize more energies than they can have connections to at once.
    However, a vala may never close their natural gateways. Once open, they are open for good. In order to prevent themselves from being flooded and slain by the energies they wield, they switch themselves to 'empty sources.'
    Empty sources are fonts of power that create energies that quite literally do nothing. It is like the space that mostly makes up air- we define it as something, but quite honestly there is nothing there. Empty sources "create" nothing, and the vala thus switches her limited number of gateways to tap into empty sources, and thus real energy will cease to flow into her.

    A second component to creating a galdr is the statement of purpose, or the will behind the power. This can be done in many, many different ways, so numerous that it is impossible to define. Many people use chants too keep their purpose and focus in mind, others use hand gestures, even more use both. Some, like Aesa and Vera, scribe runes, while even more exotic users of Seid may express their will in dances and more obvious physical movements. This expression is utterly dependent on the user: it simply gives them focus and allows them to finely direct their powers instead of launching it out purposelessly.
    One thing is certain though, without a statement of will, the channeling of energy is extremely dangerous.

    The third component is the actual channeling of energy, the taking of the energy chosen and hurling it out of oneself and into the world. Quite simple really, for a gateway. Keeping it within one's self is harder, actually.

    These three things can be combined in a number of ways. The most common one used in Town goes as followed:
    1) Choose sources and draw energy into one's self
    2) Channel energy into a physical manifestation of the user's will, clearly defining what energy is to be used for what parts, which then is released to create the effects of the galdr.

    This method is desireable because it very clearly defines how the galdr will work in the vala's mind, and keeps the energy in their body for as little time as possible. This also allows the energy to be 'stored' permanently in the runes until they are used.

    Another common way is the following:
    1) Create an empty, physical manifestation of will (by drawing energy out of the area so it will be 'blank'
    2) Draw energy into one's self
    3) Channel energy into the physical manifestation, which will immediately take effect.

    This puts as little time between gathering energy and channeling energy, lessening the chance that someone will be able to negate the energy before it is used.

    A third, more dangerous way:
    1) Draw energy into one's self.
    2) Channel energy into the surrounding area
    3) Shape the energy with one's will.

    This is a far more dangerous method, but is suitable for raw, simple blasts of energies (like planar fire or other elemental and pure powers) as it is a simple and easy method that requires little thought behind it.


    Now, a final subject is what energies a vala can use. The answer, quite honestly, is anything.
    The heat from a plane of fire.
    Magic.
    Psionics.
    Divine power.
    Your heartbeart.
    Potential energy from a falling boulder.
    The probability warping power cast off of a prophecy.

    A vala, however, will be more attuned to certain energies depending on what they themselves are skilled with. For example, Aesa is highly attuned to fate and probability, and can channel more energy and use it more adeptly when it is attuned to such things. Her body is more accustomed to it, and can handle it better.
    However, a trained vala will always share one prediliction in common with another trained vala- the ability to create portals, or rifts, or gateways, or transfer something from one place to another. Thus, divination is extremely easy for them to use, seeing as scrying, clairaudience, clairvoyence, and many other such powers rely strictly on warping space in that way. Teleportation and summoning effects are similarly easy, but require more effort as they are meant to transfer more things.

    Unskilled vala's, however, do not have the same ease of energy transfer, nor are they natural energy gateways. Instead, they have to rely on the much easier to interrupt method of using energies they can already use (like psionics, or magic) to draw the energies to themselves in order to adapt themselves slowly into the natural gateway that heralds an adept user of seid.

    Story; Not much is known about her. When her mate was killed, she and her child, Akireux, moved into the cave of a Silver Dragon, killed her, and made her pelt into a robe. One day after coming back from hunting, she found her son dead, and her hoard gone. Finding eggshell fragments in her enterence hall, she figured that the Silver Dragon's child, must have taken revenge, and she has hunted Liran ever scince.

    Nyst started out her life as any pixie would: harmless pranks, forest dwelling, and making evil creatures miserable. About four years ago, however, a duelist of poor reputation but impressive skill drew Nyst’s negative attention when he took up banditry in her forest. Ever cautious, Nyst decided to watch the highwayman in action before launching an ambush before he could do any harm.

    She had never actually seen him before, so she followed a merchant caravan while invisible and kept a sharp eye out. She did not expect violence to break out when she saw a well dressed man with what appeared to be an ornamental sword step out in front of the caravan. She was practically hypnotized as the man slaughtered the guards and scattered the merchants with what seemed like casual ease. By the time she snapped out of it, the man was riding off with his plunder on a stolen horse.

    Nyst flew after the thief, drawing a sleep arrow and firing it into his backside to quickly drop him. Her better judgment was telling her to kill him outright, but curiosity had overcome her. How could one man fight so well without armor or magic? Sending the horse off with the plunder, she turned visible and waited.

    When the man came to, he found himself facing the tip of his own blade. Nyst demanded to know how he bested the guards so easily, and the bandit offered to teach her his style of combat in exchange for his release. She agreed, but gave him her short sword while keeping his rapier, as a precaution and a means of maintaining an edge.

    The man proved true to his word, teaching Nyst how to maneuver to avoid blows while landing critical strikes at the right opportunity. Nyst, however, proved less honest. The man had been working his philosophy into his teachings gradually in hopes of acquiring a partner, but the pixie had learned the lesson too well and killed the man to keep his rapier, which had been magically resized to fit her hand as many magic blades do.

    She would continue to ply her newfound talents on anyone who came into her forest looking for trouble: bandits and beasts, paladins and pilgrims, all fell to her blade. Eventually, however, she came upon a trio of three she could recognize as beyond her abilities to best. The half-orc scout who referred to himself as Ganurath, the gnoll druid called Vithir, and a lich named Nirako. She recognized the need for their various talents, and they recognized the need for someone to help Ganurath with the fighting and to act as diplomat.

    The quartet went on many a bloody adventure together, although they struggled to keep a low profile. Pretty much every unexplained phenomenon that tipped the scales of petty disputes between rival factions over the last three years was the doing of the wicked band. Many did not even know the pixie existed, or if they did they were oblivious to her association with the other three. The four quested for a common interest of power through personal growth, and in some cases the acquisition of loot.

    Eventually, however, the four felt they were reaching the pinnacles of their respective abilities. Vithir was the first to withdraw from the group, fed up with the “smelly bag o’ bones” and the “traitors to the natural order.” Nirako followed suit shortly after, explaining that as fun as putting his life on the line was, he wanted to devote his time to necromantic experimentation. Nyst stayed with Ganurath for a while as he established a province to be a safe haven for half-orcs, but she quickly split off as she realized that he was turning good… and what’s worse, taking a romantic interest in her.

    Now, Nyst has come to the Town, looking for fun and trouble, which are often the same in her mind.

    Age: He's a lich.

    Hair color and length: He's bald, what with the undeath.
    Eye color: Red glowing empty sockets, as per lich standard.
    Complexion: Unlike most liches, Nirako would look alive if not for his eyes... and the unnatural blue tint to his pulsing skin.
    Items: He's unarmed, which is enough for a lich. Of course, he wears a rather flamboyant attire of blue trimmed with red composed of various layers of clothing, each providing a different form of defense against attack. Combined with an ebony crown and matching bracers, it's clear he's making himself out to look like a king.

    Nirako’s origins are rather cliché in that he is a necromancer seeking to develop his abilities to the point where he cannot be surpassed. The cliché stops short, however, in regards to how he plans to use his abilities: he doesn’t have any plans for them. He apparently just wanted to prove he could, which he did as he surpassed his hermetic teacher with ease and acting as a mercenary mage after that.

    Eventually, the prodigal necromancer developed his abilities to the point where he was able to turn himself into a lich, using a magic sword he created to house his phylactery. He’ll never go into further detail as to the sword’s form, but he will sometimes muse that it is protected by good luck and a pretty face.

    After several decades of studying abroad, the lich eventually came across an odd pair: a half-orc who had undergone self-exile, and a gnoll who became a druid after escaping slavery at the hands of the drow. Introducing themselves as Ganurath and Vithir respectively, Nirako joined with them in the interest of bringing change to the world to serve their respective goals.

    The trio were investigating a wood Nirako’s studies suggested were haunted by an ancient malevolence when they came across Nyst, who they quickly recruited for her talents in complementing Ganurath’s skill in battle and making up for the group’s general ineptitude in regards to matters of diplomacy.

    Vithir was taken as a pup by drow slavers to fight in an arena for entertainment. He got along well enough despite abusive treatment, and got a lucky break when a half-orc named Ganurath bought his freedom. After speaking for some time about what would happen next, they decided to go about killing things they didn’t like, which consisted heavily of drow and people who hated half-orcs.

    After a year or two of this, Nirako came across the pair and joined up with them, aiming to pursue studies abroad alongside fellow powerful individuals which he referred to as meat shields, albeit never in a language Nirako thought they knew. When Vithir let Nirako know he knew Undercommon, hilarity ensued.

    Nyst joined up with the group a few months later, and their notorious years of violent adventuring as sellswords and mass murderers ensued. All the while, the druidic Vithir scowled at his fellows for pursuing material wealth when it could be invested in the means to make themselves stronger.

    Eventually his impatience got the better of him, and he told the others off for either abandoning nature as Nyst had or defying nature as Nirako had, since he was a lich. Ganurath he merely gave a scowl before turning into an air elemental and flying off.

    At present, Vithir is defending a cliff face from being mined. Of course, by defending, that means killing anyone who comes near it... that doesn’t know how to introduce themselves safely.

    Eyes: You dont know. he wares sun glasses with red lenses so you cant see his eyes(very important to his plot). the lenses can sense magic.

    Appearance: The sun glasses. A blue button down shirt. the top three buttons aren't buttoned. he also wares blue Jeans. Looks like patric Dempsey

    Equipment: A pendent he wares around his neck. It has an anarchy symbol with a sun in the middle of it. A Smith and Wesson model 60 which he carries in a pocket on the inside of his shirt. it is loaded with silver bullets. he Carries a black handled switch blade knife, the blade of witch is silver. it is kept in his back pocket.

    Common Knowledge
    Lia Ann is a fairly young mage (early 20s) who can manipulate metal with magic, and has some skill in healing.

    Backstory
    Lia Ann came from a second-generation world, abandoned millennia ago by its first pantheon. Most of its original race died off, and a set of epic formal mortals claimed the plane as their own. Humans from another plane of existence were brought in for the new pantheon’s entertainment, starting for the most part anew, but also having access to the remains of the old culture’s great technology such as harvest golems and cities of concrete.
    Growing up in one of these concrete cities, Lia was fascinated by the applications of the old to the new. Chosen by one of the insane deities (as mortals in that world did not pick their deities, but vice versa), Lia has to cope with the occasional chaos of the goddess Edrui’s callings, but for the most part she is a normal and well-adjusted young woman looking forward to her life in the Town.

They abso-fricken-lutely hate each-other, but they stick together because somehow they know that without the other, anyone in this place could brutally pwn them. Their discussing various ideas, and getting a feel for the Town at the moment.

    Weapons: his right arm has been changed into a necromatic skeletal arm, he can manipulate it's structure through channeling chaotic magic through it, the effects vary greatly so his weapon of choice may vary from his arm changing into a sword to chaotic matter leaking right out of it.

    [Backstory]

    Cyril was born as servant of the nobility of his kingdom, however before he reached the age of 18 a crisis overcame the kingdom and most of the nobility was executed.

    Being just a servant he was excluded from the executions together with a few other servants, most of whom just started their own life in towns scattered across the kingdom.

    Cyril wasn't so keen on bringing order back to his life as the sudden execution of the royal family made him paranoid of representing order, the king never did anything wrong in his eyes, yet because he represented the order he was held responsible for the chaos that spread across the kingdom, and executed for it.

    Afraid that being raised near nobility the same future as the king awaited him if he continued life the same way he did before, he decided to further himself
    as a magician that specialised in channeling chaotic spells and magic to make it impossible for him to ever be properly incorperated into an orderly system again.

    During his early attempts at mastering the chaotic arts Cyril accidently reduced his right arm's structure to bone, though he's still capable of moving his arm as the chaotic magic connects it to the rest of his body.

    To avoid somehow killing or immobilising himself by further failure Cyril has decided to treat his skeletal right arm as his "instrument" for herding the chaotic magic and in the following years focused on increasing the potential and power his arm posessed, keeping the rest of his body "clean".

    * Cyril's right arm is a fairly developed source of chaotic energy, though it's far from being pure chaos Cyril can manipulate it fairly well to change it into more weapon like shapes, or restore damage done to it.

    *Although his right arm posesses near-elemental like qualities and even if destroyed, can be regenerated, the rest of Cyril's body is entirely normal and can be wounded physically, so his right arm can pretty much be considered a weapon that's attached to him.

    Description: A tough young woman, grew up fighting and can be regarded as a tomboy. Blonde Hair, Purple eyes and slightly shorter the average.

    Personality: An individual who will do what she wants when she wants. But doesnt necessarily have no moral compass.

    Equipment: twin tonfa's (modified clubs) and leather armour

    Common Knowledge: None. She's just arrived in town from her fairaway homeland.

    Notes: She's a private woman and a freelancer.

    Backstory:

    Trained in the art of fighting as a young child, she grew up iin constant war as the kingdom she lived in was a violent one. Her parents fought for the kingdom, her mother was a Rogue and her Father a Barbarian. Together they taught their children how to fight and fend for themselves.

    However their kingdom was recently overthrowed and Trix' parents were killed in the final outcome. With nothing to keep her there, so became a wanderer and a freelancer. After almost a year since leaving her homeland she has found herself in the Town.

    Common Knowledge
    She's not dressed in the useful style of clothing for the area so it can be assumed she's from a distant land. She appears to be slightly toughened and is certainly not a gentle elegant "lady"

    A. Rex/Regina- A god with powers over gender, has great magical powers and is extremely mischivous. (S)he likes to taunt and trick people, but recently took up a Vow of Peace, having decided that fighting is @#$%in' annoying as hell, and if you claim to have a Vow of Peace, people will be less likely to attack you. A disturbed psychotic murderer shows she has a much softer side, and shows remorse for her past actions. Her Alingment is slowly shifting to Chaotic Good.

    In a fight, she'll use illusions to keep people at bay while she and people she is protecting flee.

    B. Mutacca, Regina's bodyguard, is a Mime with immense powers over force. He pantomimes things, and those things can be felt and interected with.

    He started his job as Rex's bodyguard before Rex left his homeworld. A spearman from the Greenlands was there as a spy on Rex, and when he discovered Rex was traveling to other dimensions, and working on devices to allow other people to as well, he took them and gave one to the Greenlands. For this act, Rex punished him with the worst thing one could imaine, he tricked Mutacca into the Mime Ritual, which cost him his speech, sanity, and form of intelligence. He is now completely loyal to Rex.

    C. Was a central figure in his world, a god of Healing and Fire. Rex destroyed it and Fenix didn't put up much of a fight.

    Fenix doesn't Hate Rex for destroying his world, and he believe stronger than anyone, that Rex could actually be a positive figure in the multiverse.

    D. Curtis. Curtis is Rex's player, a computer addict he's rarely seen taking his eyes away form it, and when he does, it's in his hands. He never leaves 5 feet of his computer.

    He was pulled into Rex's universe several times, often to give him advice, of course, Curtis has very little control over Rex, and prefers Rex to work on his own.

    He's an Arguer by trade, and for that, he made an excellent lawyer. Give him a call sometime to prove even astonishingly guilty innocent.

    E. Reel, a furry friend that fused with Rex.

    Race: Chitine.

    Description: For those who don't know, a Chitine is a four-armed spider race created by the Drow for use as slaves (custommade avatar coming up soon!). Kasaad, like all Chitines can spin webs, climb walls, and likes spiders. He even has a Monsterous Spider he uses as a mount. However, he is grossly overweight, adding to his already unpleasant look. His eyes are yellow, and fangs protrude from his mouth. However, he tried to hide what he is by traveling in a dark cloak that completely encompasses his bulk. Despite being weighing more than the average human, he's slightly shorter than a halfling. With greenish skin. However, he rarely leaves the comfort of his cloak, trying to hide what he is.

    Equipment: four whip-daggers, four hand crossbows, and his cloak.

    Common Knowledge: None. Just arrived, fresh from the Underdark.

    Notes: Has a deep hatred for Drow, and beleives that evil should be killed, no excuses given. NOT lawful...

    Backstory:
    After the Chitines escaped from the clutches of Drow, years and years ago. Kasaad learnt how his race was created, with magic and modification from other races. He hates Drow with a passion for creating monstrosities such as himself. Although his parents, and, indeed, his entire tribe were content just surviving, Kasaad stole one of the Monsterous Spiders, grabbed some whip-daggers and ran, vowing to seek revenge, hoping to get some followers from the 'Land Above'. Although he hates Drow, he distrusts other elves, and doesn't tolerate evil (kill on sight!) he is happy to befriend...but not to reveal himself quickly.

    Not much. Not used to anything 'Above'.

    Name: Kara Goldenheart.
    Class: Goldenheart (homebrew class)
    Race: Half elf, quarter fiend, quarter valkyrie.
    Alignment and Temperament: NG. Kara is (extraordinarily) kind and welcoming, outgoing and friendly, if a bit of a coward at times. She is very pacifistic, and prefers healing to fighting, but if she really needs to, she'll fight.
    Description: Kara looks like Aesa. A whole lot like Aesa, even. This is likely due to the fact that she is Aesa's daughter. She's a tiny bit thinner, less muscular, with finer features than Aesa, but other than that, her hair (which is strawberry blond), her pointed ears, and the fact she's, oh, two inches shorter than Aesa, they're identical.
    Equipment: Whatever she pulls out of her sack (i.e., quite possibly everything. I mean that. EVERYTHING.)
    Common Knowledge: Kara is, of course, Aesa's daughter from an alternate future where Sunn and Aesa stayed together. That's about it for now.
    Notes: Kara is, technically, one of the most powerfully beings in existence. This is due to her unique heritage; she has a Reality Hacker (who can manipulate the fundamental aspect of reality the same way a hacker manipulates information) and a Goddess of Probability as her parents. The two abilities intermeshed with, changed, and amplified each other until Kara gained her powers, which are as follows.

    1. As long of other conscious being is watching a nondeterministic event, she can suspend the waveform collapse of said event, and even more spectacularly, choose how the waveform collapses.

    To those who aren't so scientifically minded, it works like this: as long as no-one is watching her, she can manipulate probability...infinitely. Now, because I'm using the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum physics as a backing for her powers (along with the consciousness causes collapse model), I'll fill you in on a little detail of the Copenhagen Interpretation...according to it, nothing is technically impossible. Any event, be it a particle randomly existing, a hammer existing, ANYTHING at all, is only incredibly (the number of the atoms in the universe to one odds, for example) improbable. That's right. If Kara's not being watched, she can do ANYTHING, pretty much.

    2. Kara can turn herself off as an observer in the quantum sense. This means that she can, basically, go somewhere alone, turn her observer status off, 'smear' (exists as a superposition of any and all the states she COULD be) and then turn her observer status back on. Which means she can then choose how her waveform collapses. This means she can alter herself to a near infinite extent.

    3. Kara can turn other people's observer status off, but only with physical contact and if they are willing. What this amounts to is that she can basically stop someone inadvertently collapsing a waveform that she's trying to manipulate. This means she's one hell of a healer.

    She also has an obsession with silver. That's a way of getting her favour: give her a pretty, silver object.

    Also, if I do anything with her that you consider a godmod, simply just say a fly was watching or something. Maybe a spirit. I don't mind. I chose her power because I thought it was an interesting one, not to be all 'OMFG UBERLOLZ!!11!1!!!ONEONEELEVEN'.

    Ongoing Storyline: She's here in Town, and here to stay. She's decided that she had to leave home some time, so it may as well be now.

    I'm getting rid of one of my characters. Since I have a better similar character. All are boys, besides the Heron Liellia.

    I like doing different and interesting things for my characters. If you have suggustions or would like to try somthing with one of them feel free to PM me about it.
    Same thing goes if you have a good "Plot" idea for one or more of them. I like getting involved in this kind of stuff.

    Equipment: Has a cool looking red hat, red cape, red cloths, red shoes.... yeah... Also carries a katana and rapier around. Also not to mention a sheet that is a character sheet where he records all his stats.

    Background: He is under the belive that we are in fact *in a role playing game called 'Deee & Deee'. And that a god called the 'Deee M' is controling our everyday lives.
    He wants to find the perfect combo of stats to make the best character ever. and his quest leads him to 'The Town' Where he hopes he can gain some 'Role-Playing Exp.'
    Though his real identity is that he was one of the 4 warriors of light (Final Fantasy 1) and pratically saved the world with his fellow adventurers. He misses those times and yet he doesn't want to go back to it. He faced true chaos and won... But not without leaving scars of fear of almost certain death.

    Race: Laguz (Hawk)

    Background: Trusted Guardian of the Heron, Liellia. He's devoted to his job protecting her. He is also her translator, since he can speak common and understand quite a bit of the language Liellia speaks (The same one Volug mostly speaks).

    Trey knows quite a bit of knowledge of land everywhere, due to the fact he is a Hawk Laguz. He enjoys dishing out information that other people don't know, liking the fact he knows it and they don't. Trey has a nack for gathering information quickly, or getting something quickly. He is quite agile, but also shouldn't be underestemated for his strength when in Hawk form.

    Trey can sometimes get annoyed real easy, or tends to give up easy as well. But NEVER, when it involves protecting or helping Liellia.

    Looks: Messy brown hair. It is quite short. He has wings on his back with brown feathers, giving away he is a Hawk Laguz.

    Background: Liellia is one of the sacred Laguz Heron, who are widely known by all Laguz yet rarely seen. You can say she is widely popular and very well respected without being known to Laguz. The Herons are just the most sacred race of all Laguz.

    Liellia only speaks very little common, but understands all of it. She mostly speaks an unknown language that very rarely anyone (Including Laguz, but not so much rare there) knows, but Volug does as well. She also is very kind to everyone, trying to help in everyway she can.

    Liellia, cannot fight in anyway shape or form. And can be very easily killed if unguarded (Which is Trey's job). However, to aid allies in battle or other circumstances, she sings. A Heron's singing has a very strange power in it, able to do many things.

    Liellia is one of the 3 or 4 last surving Heron.

    Liellia has a special power like most all Female Heron's, she can peer into peoples hearts to know their intentions, feelings, and even thoughts.

    Looks: Long blond hair. She has pure white wings on her back. She is often mistaken for an angel. She also has white robes.

    Equipment: Has the garb of a Red Mage, carries a rapier. Nothing else of much importance. Also not to mention a sheet that is a character sheet where he records all his stats. Of course his "Monsters Manaul"

    Background: He is a student of Masato, eager to learn. Though he is quite shy and only really talks to Masato. He has come to the town to train with Masato in the ways of Red Magiery. Though he has his own secret ambisions just like everyone else. He has secretly learned the Draconic langauge and is interested in dragons.

    After an event in town he discovered he has power to wield thunder at it's top power. He absorbs all thunder or electrical attacks. He also posseses a powerful limit break called "Indignation". The power is mostly concentrated on his left hand, where he wears a glove to protect the lighting from striking anyone without warning.

    Background: Shady, nothing is known about him. It's like he just poped into existance.
    Only he knows his own past, from his actions and talking it seems as if it is full of extreme hatred. Hatred towards everything living and breathing.

    Looks:

    He has shoulder length silver hair that covers most of his face. Most of the time only one eye is visible. His face has a dark look, and he is quite pale. He has gloves on most of the time, but no one has seen what was on his hands once they were off. He looks young... No one knows his true age.

    Background: Toiuesu's fimiliar, he's more inteligent then some other people acually. Not a big fighter, but is good at tactical manuvers. He's kinda... well "Vain" (Is that the right word for it? I dunno...). He likes himself, doesn't really care much for other guys very much... A little, but not much. He really only shows respect to Toiuesu.

    Looks: like your average Pseudodragon... but more inteligent in some ways

    Background: Volug is of a Laguz race, which can turn into beasts such as cats, tigers, hawks, ravens, and even dragons. Volug is a wolf Laguz, which were thought to have dissapeared. His background is unknown.

    Volug doesn't speak common, he knows it, but doesn't speak it. He has a very hard time pronouncing all the words. But he tries to learn, and get along with others so he doesn't seem TOO different...
