There are other FFRPs, Mythos and Bleachitp being good examples. The Nexus has just been around here the longest.

Plots usually are a big story on here being told by the numerous PCs. A current plot in LANTERN, for example, is Maxios learning how to lead, or Trix being a soy. The plots sometime are in a group thread, or their own thread. Plots range from romance, to apololypse ones, to swashbuckling.
There are also numerous sub-plots, far to many to mention. The boat race in AMEN (an evil group) is a good example.

Make whatever character you want. Maxios is basically a paladin mixed with a spy, then got a whole heaping of superheroics. SPARTAN 255 was inspired by Halo: Reach, and is a complete wimp.
Basically, go with whatever character type interests you. Any other questions?

Answer: no, he is not. He has no Charms that would facilitate that. And he'd, literally, be newly Exalted. Yes, a serious personal threat, but nowhere near unbeatable.

There's also an Exalted wiki, but I don't have the address to link. I think the basics are that an Exalted is a squashy mortal who's been blessed by one (or more) gods to make them less squashy. Except some who are less squashy because it's in their genetic makeup to become less squashy after a set period of time or something.

If you go by the setting, it actually takes a lot of time for Exalted to work up to a significantly powerful status. You can get up to a decent power level in the space of a year (assuming you push yourself), but beyond that, it will take decades of work to progress significantly.

Actually, how it works is a bit more complex: getting experience is pretty easy. Although a lot of games on these forums have characters getting experience extremely quickly compared to IRL games (Exalted does experience by gaming session and not enemies defeated).

However, there's also training times. It takes time dedicated to progressing.
