Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
So is Lewis.
His latest antics involved a hooting upside-down elephant and blue walls.
The painkillers did have a little to do with that but he is still eating protein-powder cake with apple frosting. And would like a diet soda too.
A. Diet. Soda
There there. I know how it's like.
Granted, it is funny to do this. Maybe we should let Maxios post secrets that those he choose can't read as well?
Then go ahead with the plan >:D MWAHAHAHA! *has no idea what's going on outside of Trog's*Treasured Quotes

To everybody both Rot (No offense, this is a plan LANTERN's been having for a while
SpoilerLANTERN is going to AMEN base, plant bottles of fake blood, trap Rot, then bring him to a cell in LANTERN HQ
To everybody except those entering Maxios' mind (anyone in LANTERN)
SpoilerMaxios has brain-bots in his head, has a blue and yellow shirt with 101 in it in his brain, all hints that's he really from the Fallout Universe. And the alien in is head is a Predator, that after being defeated in Maxios' head, suddenly emerges (without killing Maxios) and must be stopped

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
Good point. As it is now no longer a secret:
A group of playgrounders, including myself, are making a Nexus video game: A bird's eye view, rpg, in the style of Baldur's Gate.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? Don't use anyone's characters or locations without permission. Other than that, it's not really relevant here, is it?

To darklord: I was thinking more New Vegas, but Fallout 3 works too
To Magtok: We'll be using free programs to make the game, and we trying to contact MethosH to program, and a user from the OOTS: Online thread that's a video game designer

Maxios: As I've said before, I deny permission for anything of mine to be used.
That does include the Empire and thus possibly (or at least a pretty decent chunk of) Inside being forbidden for use, I'm afraid.Avatar by Ashen Lilies.

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
The guy who's actually been leading LANTERN since the AMEN attack, if not before then?
It is entirely possible that Andy is the sanest member of LANTERN.
Rae just became sane yesterday, remember.
So, in conclusion, I think Crazy Rae is the most competent member if LANTERN, despite the fact that he isn't actually a member.*
I'm kidding, of course, Crazy Rae is Bonkers.I made comics!

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
About the videogames:
Well, there is the whole thing about taking our characters and permissions and such. I'm thinking there is some copyright law in there somewhere.
That said, what sort of medium are we talking about here?
What's the projected plot? Will I be able to play my character 'X' here and have them be able to do whatever it is they are able to do without issue?
Who is going to do the art? Will they contact us with drafts and such to get our envisioning of the characters right?
What about places owned by other characters?
And on the chance that large numbers of people do not want their stuff in the game, can it be called the Nexus when so many ideas are off limits?Last edited by Terumitsu; 2010-12-17 at 07:11 PM.

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
Like the Boy Scout who, when he heard the tale of Alexander the Great and the Gordian knot, said "I bet I could have untied it!", you have missed the point.
The Nexus, here in the FFRP, isn't a setting. It's the people. Even if you inserted all of the organizations and all of the characters and somehow managed to recreate all of the interpersonal relationships and political dynamics... without the players, the Nexus is nothing.“Me quoque per multos similis fortuna labores

Non ignara mali, miseris succurrere disco.”

Do not insult Bethesda. They are awesomesauce.
Also, Maxios, feel free to use Mercury as a character in the game, but only if you make him properly awesome. At least two monologues about how great he is.Meese Mobster by smuchmuch.

I was hoping people had forgotten about that part.
But then I never thought Butler was up for the sane thing. He walks around without a shirt in the winter.

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
In fact the whole point of the Nexus is that it isn't really a defined setting - think about how much is created on the spot, and retconned away! The mountain by NO had never been described until I had a go at it a few weeks ago

Re: [Nexus] Nexus OOC IIX: Its Why They Pay Us The Big Bucks
To DC: Of course
Temitsu: Many of the actual PCs that said they could appear, will be in the game as party members. We will be making stuff up as we go along though
TE: I was playing New Vegas earlier today. And Mercury will appear as an awesome character
HT: Alright. If anybody wants a character or location to appear in the game, let me know, and we'll work on how he/she/it/ appears.
Also, I am retroactivly assuming any webcomic permissions will also count for the game. If not, PM me

The number of mountain lions, mountain trolls and mountain goats one could expect to have to kill if one went for a walk up it?
