The ship rocks steadily as it draws nearer to its target. On deck, several pirates ready their axes in anticipation for the coming battle. The wyverns growl, yearning to fly again and tired of being stuck on a boat at sea.
???: "You never said anything about pegasus knights. This wasn't part of the deal."
Zell: "There's no need for you to concern yourself with the pegasi, Captain Danseker. Stick to the plan and my men will handle them."
Captain Danseker: "Fine... But I want a bigger cut of the plunder."
Zell: "A bigger cut? I already told you that you could have all of it. The ship, the crew, anything onboard... It means nothing to me."
Captain Danseker: "Just keep them away from my ships. I lost two last month to the winged whores and I don't wanna lose another."
Zell: "That won't be a problem. Mere pegasi cannot match the might of my wyverns. I might even present a few of the riders to you for what they did to your ships..."
Captain Danseker: "Hmm... Would be nice to show them who really rules the sea."
Zell: "I'm glad we have an understanding. Just present the boy to me when you find him. Dead or alive, he is to be brought to me. The rest you can do with what you like."

The first ship draws closer and a few more come into view.
Amethyst Haired Pegasus Knight: "Commander, perhaps we can worry about this later. We have a more..."
Pegasus Knight Leader: "Valarie, whatever it is, it can wait until we've dealt with..."
Valarie grabs her commander and turns her to face the oncoming ships.
Valarie: "No, it CAN'T!"

Zell's enormous mount kicks off the ship, nearly sinking it as he takes flight. Several other wyverns follow and soon the air around the ships is filled with them.

Pegasus Knight Leader: "Wyverns... Why would they be here!?"
She drops the books and runs to her mount. Before taking flight, she turns back to everyone on the ship.
Pegasus Knight Leader: "Leave this to us. Theres no reason for civilians to be dragged into the battle."

(Blue can take any unoccupied spot on Kain's ship. Draven will stay below the deck. You can choose to either place Kara or have her stay below deck and defend the prince. If she stays below, she can fend off one attack but if a second one gets through, you fail the map. The four allied pirates will take orders from Kain but the bishops and pegasus riders will not. The bishops will heal your team, but the pegasus knights have much higher priority so they will only heal you if none of the pegasus knights in their range need it.
Feel free to finish sorting any items you like before the start of the map... I see that Kain is still holding that Physic staff... Might also want to take advantage of something I mentioned earlier and will not hint anymore at.
The other enemy boss, Captain Danseker is on one of the enemy ships, but he isn't in view yet. For fun, I ran the numbers to see how the two members of your team with the highest defense (Anselm and Aran) would fare against Zell...I then ran the numbers for the fastest member of your team (Jalnir) with similar results but for different reasons.)Spoiler

(I agree. The Pegasus knights might be able to hold off some of the Wyverns with support from Bishops, but they can't take them all on. We might as well bring in someone who stands a good chance of killing these buggers. Originally Posted by Grim ranger

(Because of the holidays, I won't be doing an update on Sunday. Turn updates will resume as normal on the 30th.)

Anselm, Kain, and since it seems you've decided to have her abovedeck, Kara still need starting positions.
Right now, I'm assuming your starting positions are also where you want to finish Turn 1 at (since you've got rather limited options at the moment)... So if I'm wrong on that and you want to move from where you are now to wherever on the first turn, I need that before the next update as well.

(Me arguing with myself... Spoilered for length)
Spoiler(Only now do I see that it was never really decided whether Kat would use the bow or crossbow... Lets see... Kat has 25 HP and 6 defense... Mercenary would deal 11 damage on a hit and Soldier would deal 12... She'd survive if both hit, but just barely... Then theres the approaching enemies that she is much better suited to handling than Greg is...
Err... Hit chances... if Kat is wielding the crossbow, the Mercenary has a 73% hit chance and the Soldier 75%... Possibly less because she WILL level up after the first one attacks... Chance of both hitting is 54.75% and chance of her dodging both is 6.75%...
IF both hit, she'll have either 2 or 4 HP left (depending on whether or not she gets +1 Def on her levelup)... Assuming the Myrmidon is dealt with, the Shaman can deal a maximum of 12 damage to Katleia, which she would only survive if she dodged one of the three attacks or got a res up and used a vulnerary... but if she did that, she couldn't attack the friggin Myrmidon and Greg simply isn't able to kill it in one turn without help... Times like this I really wish tgva was on so I could just ask instead of deciding this sort of thing myself...
Alternatively, using the Iron Bow would leave both the Soldier and Mercenary alive with the Myrmidon and Shaman still approaching meaning that Kat and Greg would have four enemies to deal with next turn...
But if she uses the Crossbow, she can't kill the Fighter unless she gets a crit... But she can't kill him using her normal bow either so this is irrelevent.
She could attack either the Mercenary or Soldier, but that would be deviating from the plan and I don't want to do that... That and the fact that theres not a single place she can go where she can attack either without being exposed to both the Myrmidon and Shaman...
So... it looks like its going to be the crossbow... Its a risk, but in the long run, it seems like the best chance of everyone surviving...)

(Green, for what it is worth... By my math, the Myrmidon cannot damage Greg and if he uses a vulnerary, he would survive a hit from the Shaman with EXACTLY 1 HP left. Katleia on the other hand would take 12 damage from the Shaman and 10 from the Myrmidon if hit. I have not looked at hit chances, but they should be pretty good considering the triangle for Greg and Katleia's naturally amazing accuracy.)

OOC: Sorry about the slight delay everyone, been busy these past two weeks. Now, plan-wise, I'm trying to figure out Summoner's hint. Based on what he's said, I think I may have an idea.

Ok, suggestion of a plan: Roan whacks knight, Yuan

Rakken ponders for a moment of helping the Bishop out, but hesitates: If Rakken were to try to help, it would involve him using dark magic, and the CCDJ (Church of Crystal Dragon Jesus) frowns upon using dark magic. Ortham also frowns upon dark magic. So saving the Ortham Bishop with dark magic would be extremely ironic, which made Rakken giggle a little inside. And by "giggle inside" I mean "break out laughing and rolling on the floor."
