Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
No you don't. Trust me there are already enough good hats in the game for you to find too many to conceivably wear them all at a regular rate. If you really want to pay for another hat rather than dropping ~$15 on what might be a hat that you might like, why don't you just spend $10 in the Mann Co. Store and buy a hat you know you'll like?
Basically this purchase is only worth it if you actually want Monday Night Combat and your post makes it sound like you're pretty unsure that you really do. If I was you I'd just scour the internet for game play videos and information and ask yourself if this is a game you honestly see yourself playing, if the answer is "no" you should just save your money or buy a Killer's Kabuto .Other Avatars:

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
Seems good. MNC looks like fun to me, so its win-win.
Only, I'm both sides.
And just saw this whole KF thing start right as Steam craps out on my computer.Last edited by Shas aia Toriia; 2011-01-24 at 09:24 PM.

So, in Space Station 13, I learned that Space Wizards are, in fact, human. Barring altered programming, the AI should avoid murdering them.
Also, I learned that oxygen is not, as I was led to believe, toxic to humans. I should avoid venting it all into space. The following errors occurred with your search:

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
A dedicated server, as in a server that is dedicated to hosting games for that particular game.
Dedicated, as in devoted to a cause or ideal or purpose.
Server, as in a computer that provides client stations with access to files and printers as shared resources to a computer network.
Dedicated server.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
What sort of machine power do you need to run a dedicated SS13 server?
I write a gaming blog. It also hosts my gaming downloads:
Fatescape - FATE-based D&D emulator, for when you want D&D flavour but not D&D complexity.
Exalted Mass Combat Rules - Because the ones in the core book suck.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
It's a pretty simple game really, so I don't suppose you'd need something powerful. Something with a good internet connection though. Some of the best servers I've seen still have issues with lag and dropping connections because they're just some guy with a server in his house.

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
All I've got going spare is an old laptop - I seriously doubt it has the processing power to act as a server.
SS13 looks like a fun game, but I wouldn't want to play it with anyone other than GitPers.I write a gaming blog. It also hosts my gaming downloads:

Re: [Steam] Thread XIX: It's a Kritzmas miracle!
Sadly, not that simple. SS13 is has been heavily modded upon. Any server may have any number of modifications and varying maps.
Few hints if we ever do play it though: Do NOT attempt to be Atmospherics, it is practically impossible to understand how to play that role. And FOR THE LOVE OF GORDON FREEMAN STAY AWAY FROM TOXINS! 90% of all fires and kabooms happen in Toxins.Credit for my various avatars goes to Dashwood,Cealocanth,Kwarkpudding,Randomizer, kpengu in,Alarra,Bisected8,zimmerwald1915, and Thanqol.
