Towards Paradoxing it up, I suppose that your dude's particular brand of magic could still have to worry about it. While plenty of PC's wouldn't be fazed by it, there are always NPC's? Or you could just drop that aspect of it and be unstoppable?

Alexander means "Defender of man". It's more apt for a good aligned, protective character, but the name itself has a subconscious power to it (like bringing to mind Alexander the Great). It's not that much of a surprise that it's as popular as it is.

If I had to guess, I'd say PM picked it because he considered it a Great name. If he was aware of the literal translation, he didn't care that he was using it for an Evil vampire. But the name still fits, inasmuch as it is being used for a very powerful person. In addition, Alexander can be shortened to Alex, which allows him a grand and magnificent name which PM, as the player, can abbreviate for his own convenience. Depending on what culture PM's character is closest to, the name could also fit ethnically.

Alex the evil androgynous vampire - sees humans as cattle or slaves or art supplies
Alexander Moth - plot person of SC's from Riverside, who he says ooc is the most evil character he's ever made. I've played in SC's campaigns. This frightens me.
Alexander Gray - elemental murderer

Unknown Alex:
Alex - Recaiden's character, who is off exploring sky islands

Good Alex:
Alexis the Paladin - definitely fits the whole Defender of Man thing. She actually tried to redeem Draken once

Alex is named as such because its a good androgynous name, that can be derived from Eastern Europian names. Additionally, it reminds me of Andre, from bloodlines. The character is deadtimed till Jan I think.

Also, Raz is from Mage the Awakened!
