Well, if you can finish before he comes online, the point will be moot. I don't want to interrupt or ruin RP by having a very powerful Goddess start killing people. There is a dilemma, however, in that I have to pretend to try, otherwise it will suddenly be all Angela's fault. That being said, you have a choice: If you plan on later throwing this in my face (for example, saying something like "If Angela was powerful, she would have saved you"), I would like the chance to do something about it now. If this is just between Lauretta and Din, with nothing to do with Angela or any of my characters, then I won't interfere.

I was going to look through my character list to offer a victim, when I realized that Xifra is being brainwashed by Jack, Willow's on schedule to be brainwashed by Arthur, Lauretta is brainwashing Din, and Aunt Riley is brainwashing all of her dominated minions. So I should probably back away slowly from any more brainwashing plots.

For my part, I would not enjoy having my character be bashed for my OoC decision to not interfere with your plot. Are you perfectly fine with having all of this play out completely IC, even if it would mean an all out war between my highest powered character and the rest of HALO against this Cult?

If Angela doesn't know, why should your people be involved? I don't see any reason characters can't insult and lie about other characters, and it doesn't necessarily reflect the opinions of any players...

Angela's IC reaction right now would be to walk up to the Temple and demand her priestess back. If Din was returned damaged or harmed in any way, Angela's next IC action would be to kill those responsible. If Dalachrech tries to stop her, HALO would only be too happy to curbstomp slave-owners and demon worshippers. That is the completely IC scenario, barring any special compromises, deals, or other actions.
Since this does not appeal to me very much, I have been keeping Angela more or less deadtimed. I think what you are doing with Lauretta and Din is very good RP, and I would hate to interfere with it. Yet, back in HALO a year or two ago, my characters would regularly suffer Heroic BSOD based on very similar events.
In the hopes that this can be resolved in such a way that everyone has fun, I am suppressing Angela from acting IC. I would greatly prefer that this not come back to bite me, or be otherwise thrown in my face. You can have Lauretta tell Din whatever you want about Angela, but I am asking that there not be any direct gloating to Angela's face. Why should my character get very depressed because I was trying to be nice OoC?

I was not anticipating any real problems, honestly. I just felt the need to state my position on the issue. As I said in the Inside thread, this is just a formality; I would prefer to not interfere at all.
