[NEXUS] OoC 11: The Misadventures Continue...

You know, I've always been interested in trying to create a rough account of the history of the Nexus, even if at the most it would just account to a recollection of a string of apocalypse attempts.

So, I've been curious about PACK. I've read the intro post on the thread, but I'm not certain if it's opening for minor plot type happenings. I've got something that's a mostly silly, non-permanent random encounter type occurrence. It's mostly just to have a bit of fun, and to let other people show their characters off. Since PACK seems to be moving a bit slow, but does seem to have a lot of characters present, I thought it might work well there, but I didn't know if disruptive hijinks would be welcomed there. The fluff of the place seems to be based upon setting up a safe, stable learning environment, and I didn't know if an event that would temporarily overturn that would work or not.

Well, the really hard part is deciding how to handle all the pieces that made up Nexus.

I mean, it kinda started with Town... but it kinda started with the Acronyms. For a long time they were separate, so you'd have to document both to get a good idea of what was going on.

And then Town half split off into a different forum, but there were still some people here for a time too. So you'd likely need to figure out how to deal with both of those.

It's like trying to go through the history of a comic that got retconned numerous times in really big ways. All kinds of alternate histories and junk.

Because the Giantitp site was full of server errors at the time which heavily impeded RP.

So they started a new site.

It's still running and people still play there.

Yeah, numerous days of the GitP server dying in a row. We once lost the forums for about a week.

I was kinda the instigator of Town leaving, actually. Made the forum and ran it for a while. I'd say it has pretty much petered out by now, but it had a long run.

There was one theological debate in Trog's, but that was some time ago, and since then, Lauretta has been openly kind to her. She even escorted her through the Red Zone one night after Din had a freakout at BDD to make sure she got back to Trog's safely.

Also, the location of the Temple is a secret. I know that Din was there once, but I can't remember if Grant or Carrie have ever been.

It would be funny if they found the temple at the same time Kal and Decker started burning it down. They'd have to try and save the temple in order to save Din.
