Looks nice, the girls scalp seems to be poking through her hair though. Never played metal gear before but I've heard that line parodied more than once.

Hehe. Pretty good, but I can't really imagine that big grin when he's saying that, probably just a smirk at most.

EDIT: Also, huge Metal Gear fan here.

I'm still learning most of it myself but the few hints I can give you:
    1. The magnify tool is your friend, frequently get obnoxiously close to your work and edit it from there.
    2. Layers, make sure the top layer completely covers the bottom one. A good way to ensure this is set it as a layer lower initially and then strech it so that you can see it poke out from all sides of your bottom layer than move it up.
    3. Clothing can often be better (not always) if you make it as a seperate layer and put it on top of the body. This gives the clothes life and makes your avatars look like they're actually dressed as opposed to just painting their body.
    4. Creep around the other arts and crafts oots threads like the request an avatar thread, watch the masters at work. (Also google Inkscape tutorials, while they won't help you with OotS style avies, you can learn some neat tricks of the program itself.)
