Talvos

Remaining stationary, Talvos overlooks the Orc moving out of combat and fires a volley of arrows in the coward's direction, away from the combat his allies are engaged in.

"Hmm, an opportunity to strike an enemy who is not within my allies' general area. Seems beneficial to me at the very least."

Seeing the final Orc run away Aramil draws his bow and says quietly. "There shall be no escape for you orc". He then knocks an arrow and shoots it at the retreating orc.

Tibias takes down his opponent, Talvos shoots the orc in the back and drops it. Aramil's shot is wild since he didn't have a target.

With all the orcs dead, Tibias takes the time to assess his friends' injuries.

He begins to loot the corpses like any good rogue would.

Tibias is impressed by Talvos' piety and his respect to the dead. He's especially impressed by the fact he was willing to give up two of his own coins out of respect to the dead. He could have made a fine Paladin ...

You have defeated the orcs, now what are you going to do?

Scan the room for other exits. Where did the fleeing orcs attempt to run?

There is a tunnel leading out of the room on the other side from the stairs. Thats where it appears the orc was running to.

Aramil was slightly surprised at what Talvos was doing until he remembered that for some cultures it was a traditional to leave money for the deceased to help them make their way in the afterlife. Shrugging his shoulders Aramil walks past him with his hand on his bow in case more Orcs attacked them.

Talvos

After eying the potentially dangerous chest, Talvos waves over to any healer nearby.

" Excuse me, but I might get myself into a predicament in the next minute trying to open this thing. If I happen to get impaled by a spike or stricken with a poison laced dart, I hope you could give me some immediate aid ."

With that, he focuses all of his talent on the chest.

Side note: he swiped the dice before proceeding with the chest, as he sought the might be magic. If not, still a nice pair of dice.

Talvos is able to locate and defuse the trap on the chest without blowing himself up. He is then able to pick the lock, allowing him to open the chest. Would you like to do so?

Talvos opens the chest to reveal...
Dun dun dun

a device apparently measuring something, a black cat, a large green rock (radioactive material), and a potion bottle. There is nothing else and the cat looks up at you.

"..."

He slowly closes the chest. Then draws his dagger, and stabs his left leg (1d4)[1]. Afterwards, he opens the chest again.

"Are you my bad luck sir cat?"

As he says this, he tries to take the items, except for the cat, and place it in his pack. He then tries to gentily grab the cat to place it outside.

Talvos, found anything? And shouldn't we all be continuing before more Orcs come?

Talvos

He stares off at Tibias visibly shaken for some reason,

"...Eh? Ok, I'll get right on it."

Getting back up after (hopefully) obtaining the items without any problem, he wanders over to the exit and signals for the others to join him.
While the others rally up, he makes another quick search of the exit just to make sure he didn't miss anything.

The cat hops into your backpack, as the chest and everything in it disappears. The cat then meows before settling down into a nap.

So, what are you going to do?

Talvos

He'll proceed onwards at the head of the group, trying to suppress the existence of the cat and burying it in the back of his mind.

"...l-let's g-g-g-go everyb-body..."

Talvos appears visibly disturbed, but nervously guides the group ahead with what little nerves he has left and a lit torch.

Tibias

Despite of his wounds, Tibias is not one to complain. He hoists his axe on his shoulder and follows, carefully examinging the tunnel with Detect Evil.

The tunnel opens into a 20ft by 20ft room after traveling 10ft. The room has broken furniture in it and 3 doors made of wood. there are several sacks on the floor.

Tibias examines the sacks. Unless anything obviously useful comes out of this, he will also try to listen at one of the doors

How many people are still in this?

The sacks have orc food in them. Talvos doesn't spot any weak ceilings. You find a scrollcase in one of the sacks.

Tibias doesn't hear anything behind the first door. You hear moaning behind the second one. You hear the sounds of slow clattering like bones moving behind the third door.

Yuck, orc food. Well, I'm going to keep the scroll for now, unless someone can decipher and use it ...

Wonder what the clattering sounds are - either restless skeletons or some orcs playing backgammon? Your guess is as good as mine.

Talvos

"Ghosts, illusory black cats, and now undead... I either have some great adventurer luck, or some lame magi bestowed a hex of ill-fortune on me..."

Talvos inspects each door for traps, and will attempt to deactivate any traps he comes across. He hopes he doesn't have to disarm a trap, as the ones in this cave seem fairly annoying.
