Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
Wait.. What?
Arent I gas still?
Or at least have the option to be..
And the water was not in the passage-way when we first got there?
Couldnt I have just been gas until I get out of the tunnel, turning to human form when the water rose too much?
That way I wouldnt clog up the passage, and I think I would speed up a smidge for I dont have to crawl, I can just.. float ^^
If not gas, I do what you said I did xD

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
Alright so you said i cant swing my falchion that means i can only make an unarmed attack of opportunity agains it that would also give it an attack of opportunity since i dont have the improved unarmed attack feat... All right? How much is the penalty for attacking underwater?

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
I thought we had to make a new thread at 50? We still got time...
It doesn't say anywhere that I can see...
Make a Swim check, if you succeed, you can roll to make the attack no penalties.

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
In gaseous form Shudu can't enter water or liquid...
Further more, if he did that, he'd still be outside the crawlway.
Movement speed is 10 feet.
SWIM REFERENCE
SpoilerJAKE +4 to Swim
WELBY +1 to Swim
QUIN +1 to Swim
MAKI +10 to Swim
RAGING MAKI +6 to Swim
EDUARDO +2 to Swim
SHUDU +3
DC 17
- Breath is held for 2x Constitution score, as long as only Move or Free Actions are taken...
- A Standard or Full-Round Action reduces this time by one round
- After this time, a DC 10 Constitution check to keep holding your breath, and each subsequent check increases the DC by 1
- A successful Swim check allows you to swim one-quarter of your speed as a move action or one-half your speed as a full-round action.
- Swim checks are subject to double the normal armor check penalty and encumbrance penalty.
- Make a Swim check once per round while you are in the water. Success means you may swim at up to one-half your speed (as a full-round action) or at one-quarter your speed (as a move action).
- If you fail by 4 or less, you make no progress through the water.
- If you fail by 5 or more, you go underwater.
All right do i make an attack at a - 8 for the unnarmed attack and because i wanna inflict lethal damage or a -12 because im also squeezing trough a space?

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
Long ago the Master of Death learned the secrets of controlled breathing, forcing his body to make due on a single lungful of air for extended periods. As his head disappears into the bloody brine, his body surges with life-force. He draws a deep breath and enters, crawling along the narrow space as quickly as he can.
SpoilerImmediate action to cast Deep Breath. Escape round 3 is Deep Breath round 1. I crawl 20 feet per round.
@Samfool
According to Welby, the gas cloud can't move through water, so you have to turn back. Also, the movement of the gas is reduced.
Misaat, why bother taking a penalty to deal lethal damage? It's not like this thing is going to be healed. Unless it's immune to NLD, a point of non lethal is as good as lethal in terms of putting it down.

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
Errm. How do we get rid of its body? Since its summoned can we banish it and does it go away when killed? If so. Spike stone. In a tunnel its virtually impossible to avoid when your large.

Re: [3.5] Tomb of Horrors
The serpent takes the blow like a champ, and retaliates by linking it's massive, heavy coils around the barbarian...
Savagely, it bites him, though its poisonous fangs leave no venom in the barbarians veins, the snake instead opts to slam him against the ceiling of the crawlway...
(2d8+20)[29] Damage to Maki!
