As Jake and Dranga make their way down the corridor, the fighter steps onto a trap door that Snake had missed. Flailing his arms with a cry, he tumbles in and Dranga is able to leap to the side to avoid falling in herself.
    [rolled 14 and 28, respectively]
Falling 10 feet into the pit, he slams into five of the spikes that line it's bottom. As the sharp blades pierce through his armour, Jake can feel the burn of some sort of poison entering his bloodstream.

Moments after Jake falls in, Harley dashes over, sliding on the ground to the edge of the pit. Arm stretched out, he reaches out to Jake, but the pit is too deep.
All Jake can do is groan feebly.
Cursing, Harley dashes back out, "I'll get a rope!"
Daina rushes over to the edge of the pit as well, standing next to Dranga, "This place is some sick joke! Hang on a sec' Jake! We'll get you out!"
[The doors have to be manually reset, it is apparent that they will not be closing anytime soon, and the adventurer's can take their time extracting their friend. I suppose]

"THE" one, as in he only missed ONE? Oh, firesickle, this is Tomb of Horrors. There's ALWAYS more.
And yes, Jake is bleeding to death. Five daggers through armor will do that to you.

I'm ruling that Snake can make an attempt to get Jake out before I apply the effects of the poison, and maybe Dranga can do something if she's got a spell prepared.
And don't worry man, even if Jake dies-it's not quite over for him.
Daina and Dranga hear Jake's single words, "Did you prepare a Neutralize Poison today?"

The halfling looked suprised but not stunned as the scene unfolded further down the line. He zoomed quickly to their side and flew inside the pit.

With a smile and a nod he layed his finger on the head of the wounded man and said

"Ala presto!" making Jake smaller and hence easier for Snake to pull him out.

(casting reduce person on Jake and making him Small. That should make things much easier for Snake to get him out and also should jake fall back in he will hit less spikes).

Then a few moments later he pulled out a small vial that contained a green brackish liquid and tried to get the wounded man to ingest it.

"Drink this, it will make the bad pain go away!"

    (giving him an anti-toxin)

Jake struggles a little to down a dosage meant for a full-sized man, but he manages to get all the antitoxin.
[I can't find anything in the rules, so I will rule that since Jake is smaller, thus the dosage is larger, but the poison dosage remains the same, he'll make the next saving throw with a +7 bonus.]

    My HP Math
    Spoiler
    Show

I may be misunderstanding rules in this but here goes....

When your Constitution Modifier increases, your maximum hitpoints increases by your Character Level...

My constitution was 16 (+3). My con damage took me down to 2 (-4). Thats a total of -7 points difference. so (-7*9 = -63)...

    My max HP is 92, so (92 - 63 = 29).

Then I subtracted the 22 points of damage, taking me down to 7 HP.
Then I added 5 HP from the CureLight, back up to 12/29 HP.

As Welby performs his search, he does notice the archaic Common that Snake had seen earlier in the mosaics on the floor...

    "ACERERAK CONGRATULATES YOU ON YOUR
POWERS OF OBSERVATION. SO MAKE OF THIS
WHATEVER YOU WISH, FOR YOU WILL BE MINE IN
    THE END NO MATTER WHAT!
Go back to the tormentor or through the arch,
and the second great hall you’ll discover.
Shun green if you can, but night’s good color
is for those of great valor.
If shades of red stand for blood the wise
will not need sacrifice aught but a loop of
magical metal—you’re well along your march.
Two pits along the way will be found to lead
to a fortuitous fall, so check the wall.
These keys and those are most important of all,
and beware of trembling hands and what will maul.
If you find the false you find the true
and into the columned hall you’ll come,
and there the throne that’s key and keyed.
The iron men of visage grim do more than
    meets the viewer’s eye.
You’ve left and left and found my Tomb
and now your soul will die.
    "

He takes a look at the torture chamber. This portion of the fresco illustrates an iron door that evidently confines some sort of a horrid creature (its clawed and scaled hands grasp the bars of its small window) that can be loosed to torment prisoners.
Prodding the fresco with the Rod reveals nothing, and he doesn't find anything interesting either.

The library fresco yield anything either, and Welby quickly leaves it alone.

Hovering by the Wizardly Workroom Fresco, Welby examines the two jackal-headed human figures in this painting are portrayed as if holding bronze chest—which is real, and protrudes slightly into the corridor! The
chest is hinged on the bottom so as to allow the lid to swing down. Welby notices a stud atop the chest, and reasons that the chest’s bottom opens if the stud on top is pressed. The stud has an easily detectable poison needle trap! Though Welby figures and it can be avoided entirely by pressing the stud with a dagger pommel, or some other object.

Edit: Just saw the above post. But he did save Oasis he rolled further up for it. Or is it some kind of poison that has primary/secondary/tertiary effect cause that would be helluva strange...
    [Okay, just saw it too.]

Jake shudders a bit as the poison appears to have run it's course, but his sickly demeanor remains. Daina stands up worriedly, rummaging through her pack, "Are we gonna need this?"
She holds out a scroll to Dranga.
Harley looks down into the pit at Snake, "Let's keep searching ahead..."
    Harley lights another torch.

Welby reads the "poem" the demi-lich left for them and reads it aloud a couple of times trying to figure out if it means something and filling it into the shelves of memory in case something of it is usefull later. Indeed the mention of pits and falls already illustrated by Jake makes him suspicious that the poem is a riddle or puzzle.

The door with the "bound creatures" is what catches his attention but he becomes quickly dissapointed as he notices nothing. "NO fun!" he exclaims noisily!

Then comes the box with the poison trap. On one hand he has already seen what happened to Jake and the poison pit but on the other hand he did find it... in itself it could have been strange (if Welby was not a megalomaniac) since he rarely noticed such details but what the heck since he found it already, might as well give it a try.

[OOC: If indeed he is sure that the poison needle will not prick him by taking an appropriate angle Welby will use either the pommel of his punch dagger]
