Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Hmmm, so Sotek gave us a nice long post, but looking over it there's nothing to swing it me one way or the other. No clues to Witch-hood, nor anything particularly reassuring (although it's true, no one expected a D1 claim)
However, perhaps Internet Flea won't be as careful once the pressure heats up.Not an Englishman, just an Anglophone Canadian. But yes, I am crunchy.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Never fear; should it come to it, I have at my disposal a fakeclaim even more outlandish and unbelievable than Sotek's.
However, I really think it would be more beneficial to pressurize the newbies, as they're more likely to give us something useful instead of "I'm the traveler, and I'm either trying to bluff so the wolves don't kill me or doublebluffing so they do". We know Hipen3, Crunchy English and seraine are here, so let's hear from them.
Or we could pressure Irbis, for signup trickery.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
You've really got my number. flea. I have no idea how to defend myself, and strategically speaking, I'm at a loss. It's a delicate balance of reassuring my teammates and not drawing Witch-Wrath on night 1.
As posts go, I know "I dunno, I'm a newb" is a lousy one. For what it's worth, I offered it even with 0 votes coming my way.Not an Englishman, just an Anglophone Canadian. But yes, I am crunchy.

Hmm. Crunchy's response doesn't really reassure me - it feels kinda scummy to offer that 0 votes, but for now, I'm just noting it down and will look at him again later.
Let's see. Something about hipan3 rubs me slightly worse than seraine, but I've got not much on either, so let's take a look.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
And here I thought I was being forthright. After all, something that is said often in these games is that "more talking helps town". I'm trying my best to subscribe to that theory. Don't sulk around in the corners, don't wait until the heats on. Answer questions as they come, be as helpful as possible to all players be sure to point out anything suspicious to everyone on the off chance it confirms their current theories.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
They also say "trying too hard to seem town is a scumtell". But you're right! Talking is pro-town. Like I said, it's just a tiny thing. If you set me off later, I'll refer to it then. If not, I'll write it off.
For now, I want to hear from people.
Actually what I really want is someone to do something stupid, so we can really focus our facepunches, but I doubt anyone's going to say "hay guys i'm the werewolf how do I devour??" or something. So, for now, I'll settle for poking people, possibly with sticks.

As last games judge I'm guessing yes. I havn't seen it explicitly stated otherwise.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Wow, almost forgot about this, lol. (Terribly busy, had a car accident but I'm ok.) Funny thing is that gives me plenty of time home whether I like or or not, so for purposes of this game I guess it's lucky...
Pretty excited to play another one, my life needs more paranoia and suspicion. Really love this game even if I can't pretend to be unbiased. I hope we can keep things calm since most of us have played before; just remember that no matter how angry people get, they are probably acting and it's okay to just relax. (Every game it seems like we have some people who think everyone is being rude and vicious.) Such is the nature of the game, and what keeps it interesting. Try to keep things rooted in logic and deduction rather than emotion and vengence.
Anyway, looking forward to town winning yet again. Gradually I'll start posting more and more (as many know), but I tend to not post much on D1 because it's so lame. Anything important comes up somehow, I'll be sure to jump in. I think a good activity for the first day would be to go around and have everyone name the potential role claim they consider most suspicious? (Not counting Survivalist or Traveller.)

That was like, a half written "GL HF" post I had open in a tab intended to post when the game started. I feel asleep, so it's late.
Since witches don't sleep apparently, I'm already in the clear.
Also, confused by Sotek train. Sotek has traditionally been a great town player and mediocre-at-best scum. (Like me!) Keep him around, and wait for him to implode if he is scum. Not sure if I want to cast a vote just yet. (Man, I hate D1)

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
No, newbies are more likely to say things like "I'm the traveller, full stop." Which is exactly the sort of thing we should be avoiding. I would think you would have picked up on that by now, Internet Flea, you've played this at least a few times?
I dunno, maybe Priest? (madface, finger of suspicion at Sotek)

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Really? I'd never risk posting in a WW thread drunk. Knowing my luck, I'd send the innocuous roleplaying portion to the GM in a PM, and post my night bane on the board for all of the world to see.
I've never really liked bouncing my votes around without a good reason, so for now I'll keep my point on Sotek; it's not so much that I'm overly suspicious of you, I just have nothing else to fall back on right now. If a good reason to vote for someone else or to not vote for you arises, I'll switch then.Werewolf Results

Man, something about this question coming from you rubs me so wrong, wtf.
I can't even articulate what it is.
I uh. I would like to believe I have offered a pretty good reason to take your vote off of me for now.
I mean come on.
Although I do like bouncing votes around more than you say you do, so eh.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Sorry to hear about the car wreck. Don't think it'll save you from the lynch.
Don't understand why we're naming what we think is suspicious before anyone can claim it, but I'd say the one I'm planning to make.
Or crazy and making non-sequitors.
They're also more likely to make easily disproved fakeclaims if they're witches. I think that's worth more than anything we'd lose (assuming they know enough to not trueclaim town powerroles anyway).
Oh, and byers, this game kind of runs on voteswitching.

Re: Witchunt V1.0 Game 3 - We are going to need more ducks
Ok, now as I need all the help I can get, I'm just going to ask for a few clarifications:
1)Day 1 Lynch is always a good thing right? I mean, the Witches will almost certainly kill someone on Night 1, and it's too much to hope for it will be the WW... So we want to at least try and even the odds? Or is it better to be cautious early on the off chance we lynch one of our own power roles?
2) ... Wife just entered the room. Will consider other questions later. Not an Englishman, just an Anglophone Canadian. But yes, I am crunchy.
