Mewtwo's Challenge (IC)

"Katateka, take a break for now." Kevin said, pulling out two pokeballs. Returning his feathered companion to his ball in a small flush of light, he tossed the other one lightly. "Come on out, Yokozuna..." he added as the ball released what would form into a fairly large pokemon, round at the waist and sporting large swatter-like hands.

"Hari..." Yokozuna uttered, taking a firm pose as he gathered his surroundings.

As you guys proceed forward, the two Nidoking move to bar your path. They beat their chests with their armored claws as they let out a roar towards you all.

Tsubaki Lumina

Tsubaki pointed at the two Nidoking to her Seel as she issued her command, "Azarashi! Blizzard!"

(Also, Tsume says the Nidokings are within 5 meters of one another so hits that are in a burst or row within 5 meters will hit both.)

"Shake the earth, Yokozuna!" Kevin barked, pointing pointing at one creature as he dashed toward the other, taking care to avoid the path of his ally's attack. As he reached his target he leapt toward it, knees pulled forward as he flew.

Meanwhile, Yokozuna charged toward his target, stamping the ground with quick but heavy steps as he carried his weight about. "Hari..." he began, springing a few feet into the air as he came within proximity of the purple creature. "YAMA!" he exclaimed as he came crashing down, causing the ground about them to crack and split at various sections...

The Nidoking take the heavy hits as they begin to buckle. The one that Kevin attacked falls thanks to the combined efforts of himself and Yokozuna while the other remains standing,, although shakily. A peculiar buzzing could be heard from the hive as the vibrations from the Earthquake would have alerted any of the bugs inside. The first things to leave the hive are two large purple moths with rainbow-scaled wings.

(Still PCs turns but wanted to get that in)

[Drogos]

Kingler! Bubblebeam on that last Nidoking!

KIKO! KIKO!

The Kingler charges out onto the battle, moving surprisingly fast for crawling sideways. It centers itself then lets loose a stream of foamy bubbles, blasting the shakily standing Nidoking.

The last Nidoking falls as the Venomoths start to close in. There are three in total.

Right then, Jung, take out one of those Venomoths with your Psychic attack!

Jung looks forward at the approaching Venomoths, and a wave of energy ripples forth, aimed straight at the incoming insects.

"Good job Yokozuna; you did well, but Karateka will be more useful against these fliers." Kevin said, whipping out the pair of pokeballs once more as he swapped the sumo for the hard-striking bird. As his companion appeared before him, Kevin turned its attention to the bug opposing them. "Let's show him some real aerial performance, Karateka!" he exclaimed.

"Blaz!" Karateka barked, soaring through the air as he leapt toward the skies. As he came down he aimed his beak toward the moth as he came down...

The Venomoth moves to the side from the Peck but is hit by the Confusion.. It shakes from the hit before spiraling to the ground.. The rest of the Pokemon seem to be waiting for you all in the hive as no more come out.

"They're... Waiting for us? Could be a trap, but I don't see any other choice but to push forward if we're going after their master." Kevin said.

"Blaziken." Karateka uttered, nodding in agreement.

Tsubaki Lumina

Tsubaki couldn't help but agree with Kevin. It was as if... somehow the Pokemon had known and expected their arrival. The mere thought of it made her frown and try to think on how exactly this was possible. "I get the feeling the second we stepped foot into here, they've known of us for a while. It'd explain how they're relatively well prepared for us. There aren't many more ideas I can think of. Anyways.... you're right, Kevin... the only way to really go is forward." She recalled her Seel then re-deployed Akainu. "Hope you're ready to keep scouting after this girl." She said, her eyes looking ahead at their destination..

[Drogos]

So we are going in there? Hmm.... Theres probably not going to be a lot of room for movement for us and our pokemon. I would have liked for my Onix to get a turn, but I think it may be better for my Froslass to be used.

Pinchy return! Kimono c'mon out!

If we head back now, we lose the initiative. Ivan says, looking toward the hive. We need to strike before they can mount better defenses against us, or, heaven forbid, attack the town to destroy it and us. Though I'll need something a bit more resistant to the bugs' hive minds. Jung, return! Go, Freud! As Ivan recalls his Espeon, a new humanoid pokemon takes its place. Ivan's Lucario stands, and looks toward the hive with an air of anticipation.

[Tsumeken]

As you near the hive the opening reveals itself from behind a group of low shrubs and trees. It is large enough for any person or pokemon who is at least less then 8 ft tall to pass inside.

Tsubaki Lumina

Tsubaki had been staying behind her Akainu rather closely.... more so than usual. Of course she was nervous... albeit she didn't want to say that aloud. As they found the entrance of the hive, she spoke to the group, not looking back just yet, "Before we go in, should a marching order of sorts first be established? I wouldn't mind being more near the front." She added, patiently awaiting to hear input from the others.

[ForteZanzo]

"Hrm... I mean no disrespect to the elders, but with my physique and a smaller frame I think I would also be more useful to the group in a leading position." Kevin said.

[Drogos]

I have no problem letting someone lead if they want to. I think I'll stay in the middle. That way my Froslass and I can help out wherever we are needed...

I say it should Kevin and Tsubaki in front, while Ivan and I bring up the rear. Sound acceptable?

"Sounds good to me." Ivan says. "Shall we be heading into the gaping maw of doom now?"

Tsubaki Lumina

Tsubaki nodded upon hearing everyone agree to the idea she herself had basically been thinking of. "Sounds perfect and yes...." She took a bit of a deep breath before beginning to step forward, "We should go onward indeed...." She merely replied, walking and talking simultaneously, whistling quietly to Akainu to hint to follow behind her.

[ForteZanzo]

"Hm."

"Blaz."

Kevin and Karateka grunted in agreement, walking onward...

As you all enter the hive, the honey comb path begins to widen as you soon arrive at the center. A very loud humming can be heard above you as you see a rather large Yanmega hovering in mid-air. Three Ninjask fly around it as guards as it's eyes begin to glow a bright blue. I've never had anyone get this far. I expected you to become food for my minions. But seeing as you've conquered them, you've earned a chance to face me. The Ninjask begin descending. Each appear to be holding a rock.

[Drogos]

Hmmm a bunch of flying bugs eh? Thats the best you can do? I would have expected more from the king of bug types. Maybe a Scizor or Heracross or something. Well I have just the thing for a couple of pesky fliers like you and your friends, Yanmega.

Now its time to bring out my oldest companion....

Come out, Dreadrock! Entomb these pests, Rock Tomb!

Two of the Ninjask and their rocks are included in the blast radius as the Ninjask fall to the ground. The rocks fall and roll showing on a closer look that they have small holes in their sides. A yellow worm pop their heads form the fallen rock looking at you.
