Adventure Quest! (Freeform)

Our story begins on the outskirts of a humble logging settlement. Not more then a few miles outside of the settlement of wilskerwoods, a small band gathers. The creatures, which have been long since named "goblins" gather in the thinnest of clearings at the edge of the only woods near town. A band of twenty-three stand in the clearing, talking low in their native tounge by a thin, barely visible fire.

"Ahk'ak. Relleckek, tur ro dro dok dok."

However, as fate would have it, a second small band waited near by the goblins. Three "adventurers" hired by the lord of the small settlement stalk the night, staying out of sight, and watching carefully as their soon-to-be prey plot against the town of wilskerwoods.

Tenelis, the Albino Drow shapeshifter stood in the guise of a ferocious winterwolf, and waiting on in anticipation, feeling much more at home in animal form then he ever did in his drow form.

Obviously not the leader of the group he seems to be more like the swiss army knife, always having a solution, be it opening doors, or scouting, hes always ready to assist.

Vaskia peered through the foliage. "We should probably see if we can solve this without killing..." She started drawing tactical drawings in the dirt.

"Do you have any rope? Or perhaps a sap? I only have 50 feet of rope..."

"Im afraid i don't all i ever carry is the bare essentials, im sure we could find something though, perhaps a pit trap or something of the like."

"What sort of a plan do you have? Perhaps I can help."

Turning into a crow, ill scout them out, and with that he begins circling the goblinoid camp

"Frentus, could you shape their campfire into a demon of some sort? We could then knock them out and tie them up one at a time."

When Tenelis returns...

"What did you see?"

[distant quasar]

"Give the word and it will be done."

[mastermind]

"Alright. When Tenelis returns..."

Tenelis soars well above the encampment. The sudden appearance of even one so stealthy as a crow in the dark of night was at the very least startling to the overtly secretive goblinoid party.

The group was now on edge, none seemed to be without a slight tick or shiver to indicate their paranoia and fear. But their planning went on.

There wasn't much to "see" about the group. It was obvious, even from far away what you were dealing with. However, you did pick up one interesting tidbit of information. One out of the twenty goblins seemed less hardy, although not unusual, especially for young or malnourished goblins, other elements about him stood out. The goblin wore loose fitting clothing, much akin to robes, however designed of very basic materials such as sewn together wool and cotton.

As well, the goblin carried a tell-tale pouch on his shoulder, a spell componant pouch, something most practiced magic users were not to be found without.

Vaskia whispered to Tenelis, "What did you see?"

Upon returning, I saw a large amount of goblins, one of them is a spellcaster.

[distant quasar]

"Do you still want me too go ahead with our plan?"

[mastermind]

"Sure."

......

[distant quasar]

"Very well."
he takes in a deep breath and extends out his hands, connecting himself to the fire and feeding it with his power, shaping it up into the form of a dreadful demon.
As the goblins observe the fire change, his brow furrows in concentration. With a sharp forward movement of his right arm, the flame demon follows suit, raising its arm high into the air where a blade of flame appears in it.

Basically, shaped flame into form of a large demon with a sword raised above the goblins head poised to strike.

The demonic fire effigy rose high into the night sky. A fearsome sight for any to behold, both mortal or otherwise. What followed was utter chaos as the twenty or so goblins began falling over themselves, trying to avoid the entirely harmless illusion.

The band was quickly scattered, not more then a small handfull remain. Those who did stay behind ran as far from the fire as possible, leading themselves to your position.

The cretins stopped short, noticing the new threat, and drew crudely prepared weapons. Wooden clubs and sharpened sticks among them. The obviously-dressed goblin shaman stood at the back of the group, a unique twinkle in his eye.

Not sure how you guys want to handle combat. But let's say you guys get the first go. Feel free to describe your actions however you please, but please don't abuse the freedom.

Vaskia pulls out her flail and swings it at a leg of either the goblin attacking her or the nearest hostile goblin.

Turning back into his wolf form, he begins mauling the closest goblin.

[distant quasar]

Gasping from strain, I send the demon walking a few steps off the original sight, swinging its sword toward the closest goblin.

Vaskia prepares to attack the next unengaged goblin.

[distant quasar]

I will shrink the fire down to a much more managable size before attacking with it again.

[Xulfog]

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" An older-looking man comes crashing through the bushes, shouting. "YouMightWannaGetOuttaTheWayI'mBeingChasedByAnAngr yWindZaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard!" and when he gets about ten feet past you, a WindZard comes shooting out of the bush, going at a rediculous speed. The man looks over his shoulder and does a backflip, landing on the Zard's back. The Zard looks very confused as the man steers him around the clearing, and then stops running a short distance from you. "Um... Hi. I'm Xero. And this is..." The Zard growls in response. "I guess his name is Grr." You also notice a small, cute creature on the man's shoulder. It looks glued on, as nothing could hold on to him while he was moving like he was. Could it? He also seems oblivious to the threat of the goblins.

DMBlackhart? *knocks loudly*

He looks at you like you're the crazy one, then looks behind himself. "Oh! Do you want them injured, fleeing, or dead?"

[mastermind]

"Fleeing, please."

[Xulfog]

He dismounts the windzard and taps his staff on the ground. The Zard somehow vanishes. He picks up the white fluffball from his shoulder and aims it threateningly at the goblins. "Stand back." he says to everyone, including the goblins. A jet of flame... Waitasecondholycrapajetofflame... Erupts from the adorable creature's mouth. He makes sure to not hit the goblins, but if this didn't scare them away nothing would.
