Thia, chaotic good half-elven bard. Reckless to the point of suicidal. Single digit wisdom. Fun
I guess technically, since she's a 4e character, she's "Good" rather than "Chaotic Good", but she causes enough chaos to qualify.
And yes, I know that's not how the alignment system works.

As a psionicist, he's a master of the mind, I'm sure it's not that hard for him to project confusion while actually understanding intimately.

At least assuming the dungeon could be fooled by such mind tricks, which I'd assume it could be.

    Somewhat way-future question.

As those of you with great memories or recent archive-binges may know, when we last left the GAP, they were fleeing from Kore, but were stopped by a magical green flash and someone saying, "Hello, Names, remember me?".

The PCs are currently looking for an item to teleport them to the GAP.

The prophecy of Forgath's death was "When the serpent becomes your prey, friends will become enemies and love will fuel hate".

The PCs are currently in the Maze of Many. It is likely that they will be forced to hunt at least one AU version of Kin. Also, their "friends" are all their enemies. And, possibly, some of them love some others of them, and that might certainly be turned to hatred.

So? Anyone think Forgath's a goner once this MoM thing is over?

Well, that really couldn't have been guessed, interesting to have something as unstable/weird as "confusion" be the trigger, if Kin's smart about it, she makes sure she's the first to leave, because the smarter/more understanding characters might havet he hardest time getting out by themselves.

Yeah, it's a really nasty trap... since understanding how it works actually REDUCE your chances of going through.

That she could guess it is another proof that Kin isn't boasting when she says she has superior intelligence.

It wouldnt make any sense if they each had different puzzles. I was under the impression that its all those alternate varieties running the same dungeon in a race to the finish line. If there are multiple versions of the dungeon itself, then what does it prove? Someone will always have the advantage of the slightly easier to figure out puzzles.

Why does it need to prove anything and why wouldn't luck be a factor?

I'm not saying that they CAN'T all face the same challenge, but that unless we see some evidence, we shouldn't assume it.

Frankly i think that it is safe to assume they are all facing the same puzzles, we all saw them in that big room with windows looking at their alternates, seems logical to me that all the rooms connecting to that room would be the same and so on.

It could be a bracket-type competition. two teams face off in the same situation, one survives, faces another team that survived the same situation, one of those two teams survives and faces a new challenge with yet another team to have survived the same situation, and so on and so forth until only one team is left standing. then the whole thing resets.

Think mortal combat, only instead of fighting, each player needs to beat the other at a puzzle in order to pass on.
