Posting here this time to expedite the process of dealing with my character.

You approach The Plaza. The Sad Flint is on one side. Directly across from it is Ezekiel's Supplies. There's a number of other shops and such around the edges. In the center are a few merchant carts gathered around the fountain. Most of the merchants appear to be trying desperately to pawn various goods off on every passerby. One stands out from the rest by simply leaning against his cart and waiting for customers to approach him. The sign on the cart reads, "Erbauer's Enchanted Devices and Dynamos."

Looking around at the merchants, Valore spots Erbauer's stall and approaches the man.

"So tell me, what interesting trinkets do you have for sale today?"

[Rizban]

"Well, I have a few protective amulets on hand...
What are you looking to find? I can probably make it for you."

[Niezck]

"Something to hide me from sight would be useful, although it largely depends on what your prices are like."

[Rizban]

"They're cheap... usually."

"I can offer you 500 gold pieces along with two masterwork short swords and two masterwork heavy steel shields."

"Err... I only accept magical good in trade. I'm not a common arms dealer.

For a mere 500gp, I don't think I could do you any better than a +3 item, probably a cloak. Even that is pushing it a bit."

"What about 1000gp?"

[Rizban]

"For 1,000, I could do a +5."

[Niezck]

"Anything of a more ... magical nature, for that price?"

[Rizban]

"Any other merchant in the city would charge you about 2,500 for the same item. I think that's a very fair price.

If you're looking for something else, then tell me what it is you want."

"Hm, I'll come back later."

Market price for a mw steel shield is 170, not 320.

You get 310gp selling the two shortswords and 170gp selling the two shields, for a total of 480gp.

A single masterwork heavy steel shield sells for 160 presumably, so two of them would sell for 320. Similarly, I assumed a masterwork shortsword would sell for 155, so two would sell for 310.

Selling his equipment to the nearest vendor, the elven assassin heads toward the guard headquarters. Perhaps enlisting as a guard would allow him insight into their patrolling schedules and allow for better kills.

And with that he enters, looking for the place to sign up.

Inside are about a dozen watchmen milling about inside.

there is a man sitting behind a desk at the far end of the room.

Taking check of himself, Valore walks toward the man, keeping his eyes firmly fixed on the desk.

"Hello there my good man!"

The man behind the desk looks up from his paperwork and says, "What is it that you need, sir?"
