Dude, I have a monk build that can, at level six, with ideal non-crit rolls, drop something like 610d4+3160. Your fighter is non-existent.

The ludicrous builds I've seen usually revolve around questionable combinations or loosely interpreted rules. Very few actually seem to be completely RAW stable.

I think I might have messed up, doing only something like 400d4+2000, or so, at a rough estimate.

Venerable Dragonwrought Desert Kobold Martial Monk 6.

    Stats Str 6 Dex 16 Con 10 Int 11 Wis 16 Cha 22

    Cloak of Charisma

2 Flaws: Something like Shaky and Murky-eyed

1 Martial Monk Flaws: Noble Birth, forgot what, Monk Epic Leadership, level Improved Leadership
    2 Legendary Commander
    3 Ecclesiarch
    4
    5
    6 Assemble the Horde

So, at level six, I have a Leadership score of 6+7(Feat(Might only get five, depends on orders you can get feats))+7(Charisma with the item), or 20. At twenty, I have 50 1st, 5 2nd, 3 3rd, 2 4th, and 1 5th. Legendary Commander multiplies this number by ten, and Assemble the Horde gives me additional first level minions equal to the total number of minions above first level, so I have 610 first level minions, 50 second level minions, 30 third level, and so on. Now make them all Warmages with 16 Int and Cha mod of at least one. Now, have them all cast Magic Missile at the target. If I did my math right, it comes out to be about 610d4+2440+50d4+200+60d4+240+40d4+160+30d4+120, or 790d4+3160

Monks are the best class in the game.

@CycloneJoker: Your plan has one simple error: All followers granted by the Leadership feat are level 1 NPC-class only characters. They can't be warmages. Or even adepts. Using the exceptional followers rules, you could have all of your level 3 followers, with the DM's permission, to be level 1 warmages. Your plan is flawed. The fighter great cleaves your army into oblivion.

You're right. Oh, well, I don't see why they cannot be adepts, unless you could show me where, so sleep/Coup-de-grace, scorching ray from the higher-leveled ones, or arrows, or get my cohort to make, or just buy, a crap-ton of Wands of Magic Missile not as much damage, but still.

Epic Leadership. I can take any fighter feat for my levels 1, 2, and 6, and I don't have to meet pre-reqs, so Epic Fighter feats. Epic Leadership and Legendary Commander are good.

    What gives you that ability?

Plus, if that did work, that's not so much making the monk good, but abusing leadership.

Martial Monk is a variant from Dragon 310, page 45. It says they gain fighter feats on those levels, but the monk doesn't have to meet pre-reqs for bonus feets on levels 1, 2, and 6, as per the main rules, since it doesn't specify they have to. And I am making the monk good, because nobody else can abuse leadership that badly that early.

I don't think he's joking. Maybe it's just the natural interference of a completely text based medium. Maybe not.

In any case, wow. You're using Dragon Material, and going by the most pants on head retarded reading of the rules. Congrats.

Martial monk says something akin to "add all Fighter bonus feats to the possible monk feat lists."

Then the monk class claims that the monk can take one of x feats without meeting the prerequisites.

So combined together it can mean either, the monk can take x feats without meeting the prerequisites, or any Fighter feat. Which means that technically they can't take Weapon Specialization which I'm guessing by RAI they were going for. Or the other way of looking at it is "By taking 1 level of monk I can get Epic Leadership."

    Edit: gosh darn ninjas
