Chris smiles with Quinn. "That's fantastic! I'm glad you found something to cheer you up."

"...Although I have to ask, what's an Exalted?"

That's giant cave spider, that is. The dwarf says. It's the only stuff we dye anymore, we managed to tame one and we have all the silk we need. She says, rather proudly.

"Superpowerful warriors at near god level," Quinn gives the description in a nutshell. "There's...at least three of them who are members here, and two of them are on the ruling council."

Zamira chuckles, before putting the jacket on Shrike and buckling it up tightly!

Before getting a stopwatch. "Okay. Ready... go!"

Chris quirks an eyebrow at this. "Ruling council? I heard of something like that, but what is the deal with all that?"

Zamira grins, stripping herself.

"I need to come up with a better name, but...basically, when it comes to being President, I quit," Quinn says with a shrug. "I wasn't cut out for it..."

Shrike admires her Lunar Mate, and nods.
"Yup. Works for me. Very well, I might add," she grins.

Zamira chuckles. "And no shapeshifting on my part, of course. Probably not going to manage it, though."

She grins, and slips on the jacket for Shrike to buckle up!

"I need to come up with a better name, but...basically, when it comes to being President, I quit," Quinn says with a shrug. "I wasn't cut out for it..."

"...You what?"

"And just as I was getting used to calling you ma'am!" He quips. "Why do you think you're not cut out for it, if you don't mind my incessant prying here?"

"Because, basically, it makes me have to choose between my friends," Quinn says quietly. "It put me in positions where, by doing The Right Thing, I was hurting people and making them hate me. I'm still on the Council though..."
Of course, she hated being the first, last and only person in charge long before that, but that was the last straw...

And Zamira starts trying when Shrike tells her to start!

Squirming, but not making much progress- by the time the 10 minutes are up, she's made some progress, but is still in.

If Shrike put her arms through the loops at the front, she's completely stuck.

"Well, looks like I'm yours. Anything else you want to add to make sure I'm completely at your mercy?"

She pokes her tongue out at Shrike.

Chris tightens his fist at that point. "...That's why? Of all the things that could've done you in, that's why you quit?"

Chris leans in at that point, looking her dead in the eye. "Real good pisses people off sometimes. That's just the way it is. All of my life I've been trying to do The Right Thing, and all my life someone got pissed off by what I was doing. But did that mean I gave up? No. Did I want to? Sometimes, yeah. But you know what, after a while it doesn't matter, and all that matters is that you make the tough decision, accept whatever comes and let your head hit the pillow knowing you did what you had to do, not what was easy."

Chris then holds his hands up and leans back. "I'm sorry if that offends you, but lately I've felt rather loose-lipped, and I felt that had to be said at least once."

"Hmm. Perhaps the sap...or a gag...or both?"

Shrike winks, and steps closer, reaching for the curtain!

I want to be a doctor who heals people and a mother who raises her children, not somebody who says "sorry, you can't live here because the person you can't be around wants to be redeemed" to somebody who previously saw them as the best friend they had."

Chris crosses his arms. "Then I don't see how you can be at fault. If she had a problem with it, she should've talked to you about it instead of letting her boyfriend make her decisions for her. In my humble opinion, you're absolved."

Chris then leans back. "...Well, while I'm here, you've got anything I can do around here? Lately I'm feeling like I need to do something productive, something character developing or something."

"Thanks. But, the end result would have been the same. And, well, are you any good at carpentry or construction? I'm sure Reelshka could use somebody to help her fix up the Giant Slide or something."

Zamira chuckles. "Well, I suppose if I was absolutely needed, you could release me. But otherwise... I just want to spend a couple of days not having to worry about anything.

She tries to twist around so she's facing Shrike. "What do you say?"
