[Hey, Where Did That House Come From?]

Suddenly, there is a house. There is also about a mile high pillar of very unstable looking rock between it and the ground, all in all, not a very good situation. The house itself is old and run down, and atop an almost collapsed sundeck which looks like it has been reinforced with chimneys of all things, sits a lanky teenager wearing a circuitboard patterned hoodie, dual monocles, checkerboard patterned pants, and a hat that looks like it was once the scalp of a Japanese robot from the 80s. His right arm is apparently missing, replaced by a bizarre chainsaw, which instead of a bladed chain has three disks, each one covered in serrated teeth, connected together by a long metal bar. He stares over the the edge at the long way down. That's gonna be a challenge.

Erin will keep the curtain down for as long as Phil wants...

...while Aeryn finally sighs, and goes to fix some coffee, pondering her day.

"This is good!" Mikani declares happily, while Quinn notices Thecla's dilemma and gives her a 'do you want some help?' look...

"So. What made you decide to come to the Nexus, anyway?" she asks the Neon Knight.

Something tells me that may take a while. But even his kind need to rest after a good bit of exercise.

"I think she got the best of both of us," Quinn says, smiling. "And Toby can be a bit...irascible at times, but he has the best heart I've ever known."

[Crissellea's]

Crissellea smiles at Quinn and nods. " Well that's nice to hear. " She puts simply before taking a small forkful out of here cracked lobster.

Thecla's tail is wagging the entire time she's munching down her dinner. Before she knows it, she's done and feeling good.

[Caelus's]

Well, not by itself, but it could probably fit through a portal. Riv says, shrugging.

Can you cast?

Do I look like a mage? Riv says. He seems a little offended actually.

[Caelus's]
I guess not. Caelus puts a wand on top of the van.

So, what's the plan? Riv says, hopping aboard the van.

We storm in, kill all the undead in our path and then grab the artifact.

[Caelus's Mansion]

Hamnet and Lawerence are following Caelus, waiting for any orders or the commencement of the operation. They are energetic, animated, and mentally prepared to enter the fray. They swagger in an intimidating fashion rather than walk.

Escorting Caelus and retrieving the artifact are top priority followed by personal safety and then the safety of the convoy.

Indeed. So, after a time, the curtain rises, Erin with a relaxed, and exhausted grin on her face.

"I wasn't quite expecting that to happen. My life's just FULL of pleasant surprises lately."

Phil's truck pulls up, with him and Minny inside! The truck goes down and through the underground garage before he turns it off and opens the door for Minny.
"Let's see if those clones of yours are done with the mech, shall we?"

Caelus opens a portal. Shall we?

So, what kind of artifact are we retrieving? Riv says, as the Pizza Drone driver starts up the truck.

Lawerence and Hamnet attempt to noiselessly charge through the portal. They seem anxious to complete the mission.

It's an undead blasting staff of doom. I just need you as muscle. To random plots!

Righto. I warn you, I won't leave without removing at least one of Rae's limbs. Riv says, as the truck drives through the portal.

[Crisellea's]

Neon watches parent and child with a small, kind of wistful smile on his face, before taking another sampling of his steak. "So, Miss Crisellea, how are you doing? I hope work didn't pile up while you were indisposed."

Crissellea smiles and shakes her head. " Oh no, I actually have very little work to do. Basically I just make sure everything is running smoothly and sometimes make decisions for the various companies. Though sometimes work gets heavy, usually around the end of a quarter. " She says and then brings a fork of salad up to her mouth and eats.

Abigail listens to the conversation in interest!

The fetches teleport into the demi-plane, hopefully taking Jorje with them. Specifically, they appear in a holding cell, the door already locked.

Jorje Hargonnen is unconscious, still, and in the arms of the fetches. There's not much he can do, really.

[Mansion]

The fetches drop him in the cell, then dissolve away along with their gear, although the one holding the club is not in the cell. The room itself has been custom made to fulfill all the expectations one has of a dungeon. There are humanoid bones scattered across the floor, vaguely poisonous looking spiders weaving cobwebs on the ceiling, and filthy heap of straw occupies one corner. The rats are even trained to swipe the prisoner's food.

Presumably, Jorje wakes up at some point. If so, he'll look at the spiders to try and identify them and how dangerous they are. It doesn't matter too much, though; Jorje's position as a Priest of Dalachrech enables him to speak with such creatures and make them less inclined to attack him.

The spiders resemble highly poisonous ones, but are in fact quite harmless. Jorje may also note the mirror situated opposite to the cell, and that it radiates magic, assuming he can see magic.

Jorje can't see magic, actually. But he will question the spiders about the other occupants of the cell; ask how they got out, what happened to them in the cell, how often they were fed and that sort of thing.

The spiders..... Really don't know about any of that stuff. The cell has never been used before, apparently. However, Jorje will probably find out all to soon, as Mercury strides into the room. He is, of course, not wearing his real face. At the moment he has black hair and a rather unpleasant face, made all the worse by the right side being burnt and disfigured in a cliche manner. Getting used to your new home? Like the neighbors?
