I've been trawling after that one link from SoS (by the way, why didn't Dominic just use that teleportation power he ganked from Greg's subconscious to get up the STAIRS back in Altered States?), and I found this gem of a final panel. Their voices switched!

The people in this comic wear such weird clothes. What's with Serk's shirt? It doesn't look like something anyone in his time period or social position would wear.

Having tried that Gamer Chicks comic... It's bad, yes. But it's not painfully bad...Or, to be more accurate, it's not bad in a way that is painful. It's bad like the current phase of DD. It's terrible. Horrible. Nonsensical, boring, poorly-drawn, cliche, and you develop the impression that you're missing, at minimum, half the panels of any page, and even then, it wouldn't be great....

But it doesn't hurt, and I cannot explain why.

Having tried that Gamer Chicks comic... It's bad, yes. But it's not painfully bad...Or, to be more accurate, it's not bad in a way that is painful. It's bad like the current phase of DD. It's terrible. Horrible. Nonsensical, boring, poorly-drawn, cliche, and you develop the impression that you're missing, at minimum, half the panels of any page, and even then, it wouldn't be great....

But it doesn't hurt, and I cannot explain why.

Because DD is a constant cycle of raising hopes for improvement, and dashing them mercilessly against the ground. GC cannot evoke such feelings; it is horrible in every way, and creates no illusions that it could ever be any better than it is. But with DD you can feel the agony of wasted potential in every strip.

Has anyone here heard the theory that the entire Pokemon series is all in Ash's head after he is struck by Pikachu's lightning in the first episode?

I'm wondering how applicable that would be here. Consider: Dominic is about to die in the Elemecca, and is suddenly saved by a deus ex machina in the form of Klo Tark, and ever since then the comic has been going further and further on tangents. Alternatively, it can be done after the Visions of Doom arc, when Dominic is hanging. Is it possible to construct such a theory?

I have the feeling this has been discussed before somewhere, but oh well.

And Dominic neatly sidesteps the issue? The upshot of visions of the future within DD is that if you can see it, it can be changed (except for fated fatals, but nobody likes them), so I guess there's a reinforcement there.

I don't know, the way I read "We see what you've already done" as when looking into the future, it is something that the person has actually done. Seers are looking at history, just like anyone else. The difference is, they have the ability to skip a few chapters ahead, and in doing so are able to rewrite some of that history.
