Well, figured that since I'm planning on drawing a lot more, might as well get a thread for sharing.

Yay sharing!

This will also get used for my stuff for the CHALLENGE.

First up, some stuff I uploaded for a previous week for the CHALLENGE. All of them being characters I use in the FFRP area.

This is Krystal. She's a mutant, with the ability to produce crystals from her joints.

This is Ivaz. She's from a world that I've been developing for a little while now. She is what's referred to as a Shadow Base, meaning she has abilities tied to shadows. She is a skilled mercenary, and kind of sadistic.

This is Silva, from the same world as Ivaz. She is a Fire base. Her weapon is a dagger made of a metal that reacts to fire. So, she uses fire to shape it to her needs.

This is Runner. He is an Autobot. This is a drawing of him after his small helicopter form.

This is Zel. Also from Silva and Ivaz's world. That world is called Wen Rahte. Zel is a Kinetic Base. Her main weapon is a large bladed ring.

This is Alysha. She is a Keyblade wielder. Also, after some time using her in FFRP, she has become a vampire. Her Keyblade comes from Radiator Springs.

And now, for this week's CHALLENGE submissions. More may come.

In the FFRP area, there are some threads that are not at all connected to others. These take place in separate universes. And sometimes, I like to take one character from one universe, make the necessary changes, and toss them in another universe.

So, this is Alysha, but as she is in the BleachitP universe in FFRP. She is a Shinigami there. Her Zanpakuto is drawn with her.

This drawing is better detail of Alysha's Zanpakuto, as well as its Shikai form. And yes, since Alysha was originally a Kingdom Hearts based character, I had to keep those references with her.

This is another character modified and put into BleachitP. Ivaz. She still has the same attitude. But, in BleachitP, she is an Arrancar. Her Zanpakuto is also with her.

This is a character from a story idea I'm tossing around in my head right now. Her name is Alice Johnson. But, she goes by AJ.

This is another Kingdom Hearts character I came up with. Her name is Syra. Yes, that is a Heartless tattoo on her chest. She also has a Nobody tattoo on her back.

This is a main character from a comic I'm slowly working on. His name is Chester. He's a fairly good mechanic, and is fond of 80's rock. And crowbars.

My first suggestion would be to make them more curvy, just to see what that does. Go all out in ridiculous curvieness.

Yeah, I've discovered that lanky and no pupils is my style. Don't know why.

'Cause you really should go all out with curves - if nothing else because it's ridiculously fun to go to extremes with anything (the next should be shadows - all black!)

On this most current bunch, I like the details of Syra, and I like Scarlet's pose (there's a lot of personality in that, cool). Chester looks... kinda scary, actually

By all means, get as intrusive as you want. If that's how give advice, then go for it. I don't mind.

As for that curviness...I don't know, everytime I try it, it ends up looking weird to me.

Once I finally get that comic going, you'll see that Chester's a big teddy bear.

This is Aion. She's from the Wen Rahte storyline. She is the Time Spirit. The design on her clothes actually flows across her.

This is Palta, also a spirit. The Life Spirit. I figured with her being the Life Spirit, her clothing should reflect that. Pure, simple.

This one...well, I have no name for her. Just randomly drew her out of boredom. Felt like doing a different pose, then just kept adding stuff.

This one is like the previous in that I just started by picking a pose and going from there. However, her back arm in this is frustrating me. I really don't like it. I'm thinking it's because her body isn't twisted enough.

Hey, been a while. Haven't been getting much done lately due to school.

However, I did manage to color one of my recent sketches.

Used Flash for the lines, Photoshop for coloring. Will shade it at some point.

Cool. That colour theme works very well (skin, hair, pants and coat are just the right tones to stand out, yet balance each other). Only weirdness is the eyes.

Every time I add in pupils, the whole face starts to look really weird to me. Enough to bother me.

So, no pupils. Where the eyes are positioned will tell you where the character is looking.

I'm sorry to be insistant, but this is the kind of thing that I predict you'll probably have to learn some day. You lose so, so, SO much expressiveness from removing 80% of the eyes, and at some point you might like to get it back.

Same with curves. Body types are a wonderful way (actually, the most effective) to differentiate character designs. I'd link you to a great tutorial I found recently, but it's slightly NSFW, so it's probably against forum rules... PM me if you want it.

The main approach I'm going with the eye thing is pretty much experimenting right now. Working without pupils for a while, seeing what I can do with that. See where that goes. Might stick in pupils from there. Maybe not.

I mean, look at OOTS. The eyes there are pretty much the same as mine, just all the same color.

I don't do stick figures often, but I figured I'd give it a shot. It was for Gimliggamer, based off of what I assume is a character in his sig.

In retrospect, I notice that the boots are kind of small.
