I actually used the console to multiply them. They were my favourite form of fast travel.

Using the constructor set, I made Boots of Mountain-Crossing Leaps (basically, they do what the scrolls did, only permanently).

I then put them in a location that required me use the scrolls to reach, so it wasn't all cheating.

Hmm. Just a permanent +1000 to acrobatics?
That's a lot better than the scrolls, since it actually let's you land safely. But probably worth it. Walking is slow, in that game.

I never had too much trouble with traveling, even with heavy massive armour, numoures weapons and heavy Corprus Disease abuse.

You're not the only one. Quotes can't be found, which makes me rather sad, honestly. My copies of the trilogy aren't within easy reach at the moment, either, as otherwise I'd have used an appropriate quote, probably about proper sword fights.
