Oh dear. I believe he's caught another bout of plot clonitis. And here I thought we were down to a reasonable number. Even had only one for a while.

Kirk shakes his head, looking more solemn. "No Din, I haven't. I've had associates and people that don't hate me. That's the closest I've ever let people get to me."

The drow settle back against the cabin and gazes off into the sky.

Din stares up at the sky. "if it helps you...I don't hate you. I feel sorry for you"

That's nice. Your mother helped me out a lot... after the attack. I don't think I've met your dad, though.

"She does that. And dad's been having stuff keeping him busy lately. He's kin...er, kind of involved in a lot of stuff in Vulpania," Jamie says, catching herself.

"Well, I haven't given you reason to hate me, have I?" Kirk asks and glances at her. "I'm not too keen on pity though. It's my fault really."

I see. Well, I actually wanted to talk to your mom, but she's sleeping. Anyone with knwoledge of magic, medicine or both will do, though.

"...yeah. I think she really exhausted herself or something." Jamie looks worried for a moment, then brightens. "I do know some medicine stuff and I'm magical though!"

Din shrugs "if you're a drow from a standard universe...well it's just your upbringing. drow females are terrible mothers. I thankfully got stuck on baby sitting duty for the son of the mistress I had at hat time. got myself a thrashing for being kind to him"

"No, nothing but clouds." Kirk says reassuringly. There's clearly something he's hiding, although it's not apparent that he's lying outright.

Praetorious returns here after a long hiatus. The big man meanders into camp, holding what appears to be an oddly shaped potted plant. I think Kerfuffle can describe it better.

His creepy eyes drift over those visible. Anyone who can sense magic will probably notice a big blot of Void essence where a magical aura should be.

"That's right. Yeah, I was glad to get out of there. It was an absolute nightmare." Kirk looks off into the sky again, and a moment later his head twitches a little bit again.

Din frowns "what can you see that I can't?...it's pretty obvious..."

I don't know, really. I suppose we could try, but even if it works, it's a bit inconvenient. I guess it could work as a temporary solution while I look for something more optimal.
