Rick
Godly Parent: Ares

Age: 17
Personality: Friendly, with a good sense of humour. Enjoys teaching people how to fight better. The 'popular guy', despite the reputation of the Ares cabin - everybody knows him, and he gets on well with everybody. However, he's also the guy you don't cross under any circumstances.
Description: Tall, with tanned skin and very muscular. Brown hair, piercing blue eyes - very good-looking. Sardonic grin. Lots of scars. Always has twin scabbards across his back with his swords in. When out of armour, wears nothing but a pair of shorts - no shoes, no shirt.

Power Level: In combat skill, 1, but an (admittedly high) 3 for powers, which makes him a 2 overall.

Weapon Master
Rick can pick up any weapon and be proficient with it.

Heightened Physicality
Rick heals at roughly twice the normal rate and is stronger and faster than a regular human with the same amount of muscle as him. He can also ingest twice the normal amount of ambrosia and nectar.

Fight Like a Man!
Rick has the ability to both sense and see through most magical illusions, although strong ones or clever ones can still catch him out.

Lifedrinker & Bloodspiller
Magic swords given to him by Ares. Lifedrinker, whose pommel is set with a piece of obsidian, weakens those it strikes, and wounds from Bloodspiller, set with a ruby, refuse to clot, scab or heal, instead just bleeding constantly. An application of nectar to the wound will break the spell of each, but that's often hard to do in battle...

Rick has received combat training from Ares himself, making him an opponent to be feared in a fight.

Lan
Heritage: Satyr

Age: 34 (apparent 17)

Personality: Easygoing and does his best to keep the mood light, considering how easily everything can go wrong in their lives. While he doesn't mind at all acting the fool, he's one of the bravest allies you'll find, with a sharp wit to match.
He's also...well, he's a huge nerd. If it wasn't a terrible idea to use electronics around the camp it would be even worse. As it stands he keeps his interests to comics, tabletop games, the occasional film and music.

Power Level: Lan is a person sent to track down and subsequently be put in charge with protecting kids, and clearly the trust is not misplaced. He's a very high (or maybe low, since lower numbers are greater) 3, bordering on 2.

Abilities:
Lan is an accomplished fighter in what he specializes in, which is the staff, bow, and dagger. He's also a good musician, which translates to solid magic abilities, although he is not among who you'd consider the strongest in that regard. He usually relies on animating plants, as his abilities on stone are limited. He can influence air currents slightly though, and while not enough to harm anything usually, it vastly helps his aim.

Equipment:
Lan is one of the only satyrs to have his own weapon, the Switch Hitter. The bow is enchanted to be as tough as steel, so when left unstrung it can be used as a staff.

Description:
He has a relatively attractive face if you get past the horns. The best word for him would probably be lithe. He's well muscled but not very bulky. His skin is sort of an olive color and his lower body's coat and head-hair are dark brown. He's let his horns grow out a bit since he rarely has to go into human society nowadays, and so his horns have gotten to the point where they are starting to curl back. Those with martial experience would pretty easily notice his experience with archery if they got a good look at his arms and hands.

Notes:
Lan has a good record for getting kids to CHB, even if his age means he can't infiltrate schools nearly as often. Anyone wanting to put down that he was their guardian may do so as long as I'm made aware.

Anika Sunseri
Godly Parent: Athena

Age: 16
Personality: Bookish and adventuresome, her modus operandi is read about it, then do it. She particularly loves astronomy, always having enjoyed navigating by starlight on summer nights with her dad. Growing up with her father on military bases across the world, she's had an odd mix of freedom and strictness in her upbringing, so despite her adventurousness, she has learned firsthand the importance of listening to authority.

Description: Wavy brown hair and slate gray eyes. Average height, and with a slim build.

Power Level: A 5 or 4 currently, but likely will get more powerful later on. I was thinking she could not be at CHB yet and Lan could come get her, if LordDeathkeeper would be up for RPing something like that (unless there was another plot that was already getting started, of course).

Brain Power: Anika's mind is pretty speedy. She's good at analyzing situations, able to run through numerous options in mere moments. She also has near-perfect recall, and is quick at picking up new information.

Tactical Instinct: A natural affinity for strategy; seeing the best course of action comes easily to Anika.

Colin
Godly Parent: Boreas

Age: 16
Personality: Loyal, with a strong sense of camaraderie. Always hanging around other people and trying to pick up human vernacular.
Description: Average height, silver hair and silver eyes that can stare into your soul. Always wearing graphic tees of bands he's never even listened to.

Power Level: In melee, about a 3, with a 2 or even a 1 for powers.

Spear Mastery
Clearly, Colin has skill with a spear, but this covers the majority of polearms as well, be they melee or range-based.

Wind Manipulation
Colin can control the winds to a considerable degree, able to hurl wind as a wave, gliding, or even flying for extended periods of time. Though true flying leaves him drained of energy. His influence over the wind improves his aim substantially.

Bebaios
A spear uniquely made for Colin. It has a five foot handle with an additional three feet of double edged blade. No special attributes does it claim, but it rarely misses it's mark, be it thrown or held. When not using it, the spear turns into a breeze that circles around the demigod

He spent the first 11 years of his life with his godly parent, since his mother refused to raise a "freak." As such, he is unfamiliar with regular human behavior. Still, this gave him better opportunity to train in his power.

Personality: Roxanne loves music. She's basically a music geek, and would spend all her time playing with others, if she had the choice. She's often dependent on others, but if something happens, she feels responsible for the trouble.
Description: Red hair, hazel eyes. Her hair goes down past her shoulders, and is generally worn loose.

Power Level: 4: not particularly effective in combat. Long-distance attacking, sure. Post-combat, sure. Exploration, yeah. Combat? Not so much.

Archer - She's good at shooting arrows. She's pretty accurate, but she needs to concentrate for a few moments to aim.

Healing Music - Music played (or sung) by her accelerates healing. It can close wounds, speed up natural healing, help make someone feel more rested (and less exhausted), cure sicknesses, poisons, nausea, and so on. However, it's not terribly fast. It's not fast enough to heal fatal wounds, for example. It doesn't work on herself, either, for some reason...

Imbue Light - Being a daughter of Apollos, Roxanne can make an object glow like a flashlight for a few hours, by holding it in her hands and concentrating with her eyes closed. It tires her, though.

Guitar - It's a guitar. 6 strings, usually in tune.

Crystal Orb - It's a crystal orb. When imbued with light, it hovers and follows Roxanne so she doesn't need to carry it around.

Godly Parent: Eris (But will she tell you that? No, probably not.)
Age: 16, having arrived at Camp Half-Blood at 15 years old.

Personality: Melissa wants to be heroic. However, she feels that she has to prove herself more than anyone else; she wants to do it on her own merit. Most campers think she's strange, unsociable, and rude. She usually keeps her emotions pretty stoically.
Description: Blond, with a green eye and a blue one. Athletic, tall.

Power Level: 2, I suppose.

Apple of Discord: Melissa can put an enchanting layer on her voice which makes the listener have thoughts that their allies will betray them. [Does not work on a recording of her voice] When she loses control of her emotions, it occurs without her wanting to do it. Works even if the listener doesn't understand her.

Truth and Lies: Melissa has the ability to make any true thing she says sound like a blatant lie, no matter how true it is. This is part illusion, part mind-affecting, and part self-affecting. First, it affects herself (her tone of voice and body language). Then, it creates an illusion to amplify that even more, and it tries to make the listener disbelieve.

Dissonance Gaze: Staring into her eyes for an extended period of time will cause an illusion for the target for a time proportional to the time gazed at: They will see (and hear) everyone else as someone else nearby. For example, in a combat with Melissa, Target, and Persons A, B, C, and D, Target will perceive Person A as Person D, Person D as Person C, Person C as Person A, and Person B as himself. Does not work with anyone incapable of seeing her eyes.

Bloodlust: Although she's already naturally (and trained) good at combat, Melissa's strength, stamina, and reflexes increase proportionally to the confusion, anger, sorrow, and suffering around her. Being sprinkled by recently-shed blood also does this for her, especially on her head, hair, and hands.

Algean Sword - This sword has an illusory flame on it. It doesn't burn, but it causes immense pain as if it were both poisoned and on fire. However, this pain is entirely in the mind. It remains as long as the injured person continues to think about the pain.

Flag Spear - It's a spear, which has a nondescript flag attached to it. It can shrink to be just a stick with a flag attached.

She's good at combat; she can effectively hold her own in most battles. Not guaranteed to win, of course. She tries to be friendly, but utterly fails due to her 'blessings'.

Who her goddess-mother is is not widely spread knowledge. There are some who know, but not everybody in camp knows.

She joined Camp Half-Blood like any normal person: She was brought a short while ago, and is now here.

Melissa

Melissa was "raised" by her mother, Eris. Mostly, Melissa raised herself on the street and her mother came by most days to cause ruckus and play with her daughter (by causing gang fights and breaking up marriages, to name a few things). However, around the age of 15, she had a spat with her mother (which just tickled her pink! She was so proud that her daughter was able to have an argument with her old lady.) So, they parted ways and Eris planned it so Melissa would run into Lan minutes afterward. Lan was bringing someone back to Camp Half-Blood at the time (roughly a year ago), and that happy "coincidence" ended up with the satyr bringing two demigods to the Camp, instead of the planned one.

[Felandria]

Felandria Tyler
Godly Parent: Zeus

Age: 21
Personality: Despite her gregarious and outgoing attitude, she acts like sort of a den mother to the Godlings.
Description: A towering redhead, Felandria didn't discover her heritage until she was struck with a mystical energy during an adventure vacation with her mother, unlocking her powers and also making her a giant, standing over twelve and a half feet tall.

She eventually learned she could control her size so she maintains a more normal stature at times.

Power Level: 2

Neiz Landers
Godly Parent: Styx

Age: 17
Personality: Eccentric, very willing to manipulate others to reach her goals, but never cruel for the sake of being cruel. She nearly always seems at least a little flirtatious.
Description:
Neiz is thin, with crazy-long silvery hair she has dyed with many pastel rainbow streaks. Her eyes are rose-pink and she tends to wear clothing in dark, cool colors. She has a pretty nice figure and is quite pretty, which she makes good use of.

Power Level: 3 (her influence is mostly social; her combat prowess is almost entirely defensive)

Water Affinity: As the daughter of Styx, she has a mostly passive water affinity; this means that she is a very strong swimmer and gets a bit more out of hydration than most would. Her water affinity is not to the same extent as a Poseidon child, though.

Dealmaker: As the daughter of Styx, her main powerset is based in pacts, oaths, deals, etc. She can create binding contracts upon agreements, whether or not she is one of those involved in the agreement. While certainly not as significant as the bonds forged upon the Styx, her pacts are nothing to ignore; there is always an agreed-upon consequence that will occur upon any party who breaks the deal. The pact ends when

• The pact is carried out and finished (only if the pact's terms have a finite goal)
• Any party breaks the terms of the pact (ends the pact, but incurs the consequence upon them)
• Neiz specifically revokes the pact before it is finished or broken

Parallel Shield: A shield with a sort of stretched teardrop shape, worn across the arm longways with the pointy end closest to the elbow. Contains a retractable blade at the end near her hand. Disguised as a bracelet when not in use.

Has been around camp for several years and very rarely leaves, though some of her fellow older campers may know her mortal family lives in Ohio.
Neiz flirts with almost everyone, but only for the purposes of manipulating them. The only person to whom she has ever felt really attracted is Felandria, though she has not yet admitted it.
Her mundane items include a small bottle of chipotle Tabasco, her phone, and a folding fan.

Yu Narukami
Godly Parent:Zeus

Age:16
Personality:Yu is quiet, polite, and calm for most situations. He is also a fairly sarcastic person and occasionally makes jokes at the others expense. He is, for the most part, more mature than the other people his age. He has a sharp mind, and is able to quickly realize the solution to diffucult problems. He deeply cares for his friends and one of the few ways to truly anger him is to threaten either them or his little sister Nanako which causes him to become very cold. He also has a great understanding of the bonds of people.

He has a dry sense of humor, and sometimes does questionable things which he thinks are funny. He also seems a bit naive and oblivious to certain situations, which somehow keeps working to his benefit; especially when dealing with the girls, as he is able to get away with things that would warrant a smack for any of the other male characters.

Description: Short, bowl-shaped gray hair with electric blue eyes. He has a pale complexion and is quite tall, about 5'11. He has a lean yet strong build. He often wears a grey shirt with a black blazer.

Power level: When it comes to use of his powers Yu has great control netting him a ranking of 1 However he slacks in the department of regular combat, marking him with a 3. This makes his overall power level 2

Enhanced Stamina and Speed:Yu is capable of fighting at full capacity for longer periods of time and moves faster than you would think

Electricity creation and control: Thanks to his status as a son of Zeus Yu can create and control electricity. This is his greatest ability and the one he prides himself on.

Wind control: Like his father Yu can also control the winds. This is usually used to lift heavy object and can create whirlwinds.

Mild Weather control: Yu has some control over the weather but only to a mild point. The best he can do is bring in and banish stormy clouds and call down a single bolt of lightning.

Truth Seeker: Yu's katana made from Celestial Bronze. It can channel and amplify Yu's electrical attacks. When not in use it takes the form of a pair of glasses that can see through to the truth of things.

As you can guess from his Name Yu is of Japanese descent. His mother had a job which had her travel a lot and on a job trip to America she met Zeus. This was how Yu was conceived. He and his mother moved so often that Monsters weren't a problem for them that often. However when he sister Nanako was born when he was 10 years old his mother knew that the camp was the only option left.

Thanks to moving to so many places so often, Yu has picked up a variety of languages that he can speak. However never really had the chance to make friends as a result of this. He watched other people a lot, but never interacted as he never saw much a point to it. Now that he is staying in one place he finds it awkward to interact with others. However once people have made friends with him they would find that they made a friend for life.

Kanji Tatsumi
Godly Parent:Ares
Age:15
Personality: Kanji often skips classes and apparently gets into many fights in the streets. (However his reasons for doing so are often borne out of trying to make others happy, not out of simple delinquency; an example of his violence, beating up a biker gang, would explained by mother as an attempt to make her happy, as the bikes were too loud for her to get any sleep).

His family runs a textile shop and Kanji is also very skilled with tailoring for that very reason. His biggest insecurity is his sexuality which is thanks to his feminine hobbies and how he was socially tortured by girls for having them. He is scared of showing anything potentially feminine in interest and constantly has a tough guy act going on that his natural aggressiveness as a son of Ares helps maintain.

Description:Kanji is a tall young man, about 6'2. He has a bleached-blonde sweptback crewcut, gray eyes, with a scar above his left eye and wears a black sweater with a skull-and-crossbones design on it and a black leather jacket.

Power level: Both Kanji's Powers, and Combat skills are a solid 2. However Kanji can be easily riled and is not very good with strategy.

Enhanced Strength, Endurance, and Stamina: Kanji is much stronger than he looks. His strength is his main claim to fame and the thing that makes him such a fearsome fighter. Combine that his that fact that he is durable as a brick wall and can keep going all day makes close quarters combat with Kanji a nightmare.

Never say Die!:Kanji is capable of surviving in surpising conditions. Even with less food, water, and rest than he should be getting, Kanji doesn't stay down long and is always ready to get back in the fight. A roach is what comes to mind when Kanji's resilience is brought up.

Demon King: This Celestial Bronze shield is almost as big at Kanji is and has a wicked spike about 16 inches long and 3 inches thick at the base extending from the center. Other than that is shield isn't special. When not in use it takes the form of an armband around Kanji's bicep.

Kanji likes helping others and tries his best to do so. However after having his tough guy demeanor on for so long he sometimes forgets to turn it off as it has become a part of him now. As such he is rough, brash, and sometimes crude.

Simon Lapira
Godly Parent: Apollo

Age: 17
Personality: Tends to take things to heart and take things seriously; earnest is one word for Simon. Can be quite vulnerable and easily flustered; while he is good-natured and friendly, he can also be rather shy when put in the spotlight or when attention is turned to him. Despite being untalented at hand-to-hand combat, he is deadly precise with a bow, possessing the patience, eye, and natural skill required for archery.

Description: Short, straight blonde hair and gray eyes. Quite tall, a good few inches over six feet, although despite his height looks rather shyly boyish.

Prophetic Poet: Simon is constantly writing, sometimes spinning amazing tales in Ancient Greek, sometimes stories of more questionable quality. He's quite fond of poetry, but sometimes his writing is not simply writing -- occasionally, he pens something not his own: a prophecy.

Master Marksman: Simon is particularly skilled at archery.

An enchanted nib pen gifted to him by his father; he affectionately calls it Chloe. Chloe can put to paper what he dictates orally or through his thoughts. Additionally, her ink is only visible to who Simon wills it to be.

Carrie Andrews
Godly Parent: Ares

Age: 16
Personality: Unlike many Ares kids, Carrie isn't very bold. In fact, she seems very... un-Ares most of the time: skittish and shy. Years of being her father's least favorite child have taken their toll on her. However, when scared enough she can enter a sort of berserk frenzy---which is where she got those scars, as well as the one part of her that Ares doesn't describe as "the biggest, lamest letdown in the history of disappointing kids".
She loves her brothers Rick and Kanji, but her envy of their prowess combined with being reminded of her insufficiency leaves her sometimes wanting to withdraw.

Desc:
Scrawny and riddled with scars, Carrie tends to wear tightish tops but more relaxed cargo pants, along with heavy boots. She wears fingerless leather gloves with mesh sleeves that partly cover her scarred arms (only partly, as Ares makes it clear that if she wants to get any of his favor, not hiding her scars is a step in the right direction). Her eyes are amber-colored, her hair jet black.

Her huge sword is called Laudanum; given to her by Ares, he claims it is powerful but will remain sheathed til she lives up to his expectations. However, the pommel and crossguard are sharp and she is quite capable of using the sword in that way.
Laudanum, when not in use, manifests as a Hello Kitty nail file (Ares's idea of a joke).

Carrie's mother is a one-eyed ex-military woman named Alice.

Carrie's fellow Ares kids are often cruel to her; she is very loyal to exceptions like Rick and Kanji.

Backstory in length

I am tiny and everything is warm and fuzzy, a cottony wooly haze. I see Mama and she is beautiful like the sun I haven't even discovered yet. She defines everything I can conceive of.
I see another person. This person is not Mama, but I heard this voice when I was floating in the warm dark sea before. He holds me and I touch his face. He has shiny black things where Mama has an eye and her other thing, and his face is rough instead of smooth. He feels funny, I laugh, my tiny round hand knocks the black things from his face. He has two eyes while Mama has one eye and one not-eye. Mama's eyes are white with brown in the middle and black at the centers. His eyes are black with hot red at the center. I stare, not understanding but not afraid. Now he laughs, Mama laughs, we all laugh.

I am small, three years old, and I know so much more now. My mom is the coolest lady in the world, even if every other child's mom is bigger than her. She is strong and kind and warm and she wears an eyepatch. Sometimes I see her with it off and there is just an empty hole. Sometimes she hides things in it and takes them out, and it's like magic to other kids. But I smile because I know where she hides the little rubber ball that seems to appear from nowhere.
Other kids have a dad, but I have never seen mine. Mom has no pictures of him, and when I ask she tells me he was a very strong man and I might see him again someday.
I hope so.

I am six and things have changed. I feel shy so often around other kids, but I have some friends. Some kids are mean to me and I don't understand why. Erica tells me it is because they feel bad, so they put others down to feel better.
Erica is my mom's best friend. Mom is short and red-haired and loud and full of energy, and Erica is tall and blonde and quiet and calm. She's always with Mom, but that doesn't bother me because I like her a lot. Mom seems happier with her here, and I smile when I see her napping with her head on Erica's chest or pretending to be mad at Erica being so much taller. Sometimes Mom is busy and can't help me with things, but Erica comes and helps me with my homework or plays with me or picks me up from school.
Once or twice I think I've seen them kiss, but I don't think much of it, not yet. I'm okay and I'm happy.

I am nine and things are getting really confusing. Sometimes I look at other girls and feel strange, nervous, full of butterflies. There's a thirteen-year-old girl down the street with wavy brown hair the color of autumn chestnuts and I feel funny when I look at her. I ask my friend Tammi if she understands and she tells me she sometimes feels that way about boys, but not girls.
I come home and ask Mom and Erica about it and they tell me that there are girls who like boys, girls who like girls, girls who like both, girls who like neither. Mom likes both, Erica likes girls. Now things make more sense, and I ask them if they like each other. They blush and look at each other and then nod, and I smile and hug them.
I'm still shy, and I still get bullied. I just feel so powerless and small, and the girl who bullies me most is pretty. It's confusing and upsetting and I wish she were nice or not as pretty.

I am eleven and things have happened so much. I've been in a couple small fights and I have a few little scars, though I never start the fighting. Mom and Erica say I should try not to, but Mom looks worried and sighs and says I get it from my dad (he sent me a birthday card once).
I have fallen in love a few times. My friend Janie was first (I kissed her and she said no thanks, so we rode our bikes instead), then the brown-haired girl down the street (I was too shy to say anything), then a pretty older girl at the library (who I asked to be my girlfriend and she said I was nice but not old enough to date a girl twenty-five years old).
The biggest thing is that I have two moms now! Erica and Mom got married six months ago and it was one of the happiest days ever! Erica was in a pretty cream-colored dress and Mom was in a tux (Erica could never hope to fit into a tux with her chest, Mom says) and everything was so amazing. There was cake and dancing and I was the ringbearer. A bridesmaid told me I looked pretty and kissed the top of my head, and my whole face felt hot.
Mom and Erica spent a week alone in Iceland for their honeymoon. I stayed with Tammi that week, which was like a sleepover over and over, and when Mom and Erica came back they had so many pictures to show me. Iceland is pretty green and beautiful for a place called, um, Iceland.

I am twelve and things are a little scary now. I am just arriving at a place called Camp Half-Blood.
Mom says the reason I never really knew Dad is because he wasn't a normal man, he was a god. A Greek god, Ares---and because of that I have to go to this camp to be safe.
I've gotten more scars by now, and I feel scared and self-concsious here... but things make sense now, I guess, in a way. I always loved Greek mythology, and here it is being real!
An older boy, a satyr, leads me up to the Big House. A centaur, Mr. Chiron, talks to me and explains what's going on, where this is, what I'm going to do. They can tell that I'm Ares's child---Mr. D mutters something about not fitting the mold, but Chiron interrupts to tell me that whenever I need help and guidance, he and the other campers are always here for me. He feels more like a father than my actual father does---or maybe like an uncle or grandfather, wise and calm. He says Felandria will be showing me around, and in walks in the prettiest girl I have ever seen.
Felandria is so tall and beautiful, seventeen years old and a daughter of Zeus; my knees feel weak and my hands sweat and I stumble over my words. She puts an arm around my shoulder and calls me 'hon' and shows me everywhere in Camp, the rock wall and the arena and the forge, the lake and the pavilion and the forest. I try to remember, to take the information in, but I'm busy falling and tripping and tumbling in love with this girl. Finally she shows me to the Ares cabin and I go inside this rough-looking, hard-edged place that smells like old pennies and dry blood.
I ask if this bunk on the girls' side is taken, shyly and quietly and stammering a little, and they laugh at me. My half-brothers and sisters laugh, ask me if I'm really an Ares kid. I stare at my feet and don't say anything, but a tan boy in nothing but shorts sits down right next to me and puts his arm around my shoulders. I jump a little, but he smiles and tells me his name is Rick, calls me 'sis', says not to listen to them. I lean against my big brother and he ruffles my hair, pinches my skinny arm, tells me we have to work on those muscles. "Guys respect a fit, lithe girl," he tells me, "besides the obvious combat necessity of being in shape."
"But... but I-I like girls."
He shrugs, standing and helping me up. "Girls might like fit girls more than guys do, I'unno."
I laugh, I feel so much safer with Rick, my big brother, even in this cabin of callouses and scraped knuckles.

I am fourteen and things have changed and stayed the same.
When I was twelve, a fight happened and I was in the middle of it. I got cut and hurt all over, and I have so many more scars now because of it. I feel like I got involved to prove to Dad that I'm not a bad daughter, and he gave me a gift for it.
I woke up in the infirmary with a big sheathed sword on my bed and a note. It said this was mine now, mine to prove myself with if I really had the stuff. It won't come unsheathed, but that's okay---I've learned to use it like a polearm, sort of, hit with the hilt, hold the scabbard.
I'm still so shy around my siblings and people I don't know, especially pretty girls. I have another brother that I feel safe with, though, a year younger than me (but he's really tall!) called Kanji. He and Rick are the only Ares kids that really feel like family to me, and I love them like I've known them all my life... but...
Sometimes I get so jealous of Rick. He's so strong and fast and cool and experienced and I feel so inadequate next to him. I tamp down the bubbling envy and it builds up and goes sour and I feel so sick of him. Kanji is so cool too, but for some reason I don't get the same flashes of resentment and jealousy---I guess it's because I can see hints of a side he doesn't want to show anyone. I know he's sensitive inside too, perhaps that's why.
I keep falling for girls and it's honestly getting really tiresome---the few I work up the guts to admit it to always aren't interested. I still feel nervous around Felandria, but I don't think I'll ever be able to tell her.
My mothers are happy to know I'm safe at camp and they tell me how much they love me all the time. I try to hide the bad parts from them as much as I can so they can stay happier.

I am fifteen and things are getting a little better.
Kanji and Rick and some others have been helping me train, and it shows---most girls don't get the same muscular bulk that guys do, but I can tell I'm a lot more fit now! I'm still thin and bony and I have the womanly curves of a dowel rod, but at least I'm a thin and bony girl that doesn't get tired as fast.
I'm a pretty good fighter with Laudanum, even if most of my siblings say I'm lame. I can hold my own now!
I'm still single as all hell and not good with the ladies, but I kissed one of the Demeter girls once---that's something, I think. A weird-pretty girl named Neiz hit on me for a few days, but Rick told her off---he told me she's not really interested in people she flirts with, she just wants to get something from them.
I still get jealous of Rick, though I know it's not like he's intentionally trying to show me up---things are just this way, it seems.

Personality: Shy, timid, usually keeps to herself, but won't protest if somebody insists on staying near her. Mostly cause she doesn't want to cause trouble.
Description: Rachel is a little bit short for her age, with a very thin body. Her hair is long and dark, with her bangs covering most of her face. When her eyes are visible, they are jet black in color. Her clothing always seems three sizes too big for her.
Power Level: In combat, she is a four. She knows to keep the pointy end of the sword away from her, and that's about it. However, with her abilities, she's easily a two.

Fear Detection: When Rachel is within a few feet of somebody, she can pick up on their fears without even trying to. At least some of them. She does have to focus to find out all of a person's fears, or their deepest ones. She can also tell when somebody is afraid at any time, and what that fear is at that moment.

Fear Realization: Rachel can cause a target to hallucinate. Specifically, to see their fears. It will be more than sight, though. It will affect all of their senses. The stronger she makes the hallucination, the more she has to concentrate, and the less she can do other things.

Fear Consumption: While making somebody live their fears, Rachel can feed off of their fear, which can heal her and empower her. She doesn't like doing it, though, cause a part of her will share that fear. And while her father may enjoy that kind of stuff, she isn't too fond of it.

I think I'll give this a shot, if the Camp is still open to newcomers. I'm a big fan of Greek mythology in general, and now that I've read up on the Percy Jackson series a bit, I'm sure I can pick up the finer details as I go. I realize that my character is a bit older than most, but I hope it'll still work out; if not, I'll rethink his design and adjust some details to match.

Matthias "Ty" Alabaster
Descendant of: Hephaestus

Age: 22
Description: Ty has a large, rock-solid build, and his years at Camp Half-Blood have seen him gain a good portion of his father's inhuman strength to match. His crooked face is often contorted into a scowl, emphasized by his pronounced underbite, but his eyes shine blue with uncharacteristic brilliance. His light brown hair is cut very short, and he trims it often, considering it a nuisance if it grows to any length above two inches.
Personality: Ty was raised on the belief that respect is first given before it can be received and is therefore mindful of his manners. However, given his intimidating stature and off-putting facial features, he is accustomed to being avoided in public, and despite coming to terms with his disfigurements, he dislikes being reminded of them and is bitter toward those who do. Also worthy of note is Ty's monstrous appetite: anyone who vaguely knows him is familiar with it and the change in attitude that comes with it.

Power Level: Currently, Ty is purely a craftsman and therefore scores a mere 5 on the power scale. Despite having advanced knowledge of weaponry and above-average physical attributes, his fighting abilities are under-developed for a demigod, and he would not last long in a fight. Whether or not he will develop any combat potential at all remains to be seen.

Ty is skilled in a number of crafts but excels in metalsmithing. With access to the proper materials (which are, sadly, few and far between recently), he is capable of creating a wide variety of tools, weapons, and equipment.

Envy Clamp: Ty engineered these multi-purpose tongs specifically for his own use. Not only are they extremely durable, but when closed, they will only release a held object at his direct request.

Catalyst: Upon claiming Ty as his descendant at the age of 15, Hephaestus bestowed him with this metalworking hammer, which is enchanted to preserve the heat in any metal it strikes. Though the limits of its strength have not been exhaustively tested, it has proven capable of working some stubborn substances, and it shows little sign of deterioration, despite extensive use in Ty's posession.

Personality: Andy has a strange work ethic, ie, if he is assigned to do something with very implicit instructions, he will either not do it at all or do it badly on purpose. Andy has recently come out of the closet, to the astonishment of his bunk mates (but not anyone else) and is still wondering about his sexuality. When he was younger, he went to a very exclusive private school (I am tempted to say the same one from the Kane Chronicles, but I can't remember the age range of that) which led him to having a higher than average vocabulary of words, even if he sometimes doesn't feel like using them. Also known as jealousy by idiots, Envy isn't really jealous of anything other than... Well, a lot of things actually, but he doesn't do the spite thing very well at all. If the young Master picks envy, he slowly becomes a bit more bitter everyday, but in trade gets faster, develops sharp claws, has a thinner figure, and becomes more agile.
The owner of the Sin also slowly starts to mutate, becoming a bit more like the animal associated with the sin bit by but. In this case that animal is the snake, and thus the master will slowly get scales, have their eyes change into slits, and will be far more flexible than average.

Lust
Lust is a very attractive individual, and is in turn attracted to others. Very easily. Very, very easily. Lust also has a tendency towards flattering others, whether they want it or not, as his way of helping people. This has led to many unfortunate misunderstandings.
The powers Lust grants are: Enhanced Beauty, Charisma, and Lovecraft Tentacles whenever they're needed.
Strangely, the animal Lust is associated has shifted over the years to an octopi (I wonder why *Cough* hentai *cough*) so the mutation granted to the owner is now the gaining of tentacles and getting smoother, paler skin.

Wrath is very... let's say protective. Wrath loves all of the young masters, maybe a little bit too much, and will do his best to protect them. Wrath has a very... let's say peculiar way of determining who is a threat to the master: If they hold a weapon, can cast magic that could harm the Master, or have anything that could be used against the Master, they need to be eliminated. The Master can usually tell him not to harm his friends, though.
The powers gained from Wrath are Super Strength, Size Growth, and a general increase in physical activity. However, those who use Wrath tend to become neurotic and paranoid.
Wraths animal is the Ox, so those who use him tend to gain Horns and Hooves. They also gain red skin. It is highly probable Wrath inspired the traditional thought of Demonic appearance.

Sloth
Sloth is very cowardly and timid, she dislike violence a lot. She tends to shy away as she believes she can't do anything right, and holds herself accountable for the deaths of every Master. Even if she wasn't the one in control. She gets depressed very easily.
The powers gained from Sloth are mostly Magic related: a sleeping Spell, and a Shield. Those who use Sloth slowly get more and more lethargic.
The animal most associated with Sloth is the Sloth, so those who use her slowly grow claws, get shaggier (though this may be because of being too lazy to shave) and get a little bit stronger.

Gluttony is a party kind of guy, who likes to make puns and crude jokes that everybody else hates (Pride secretly likes them, though). His response to everything is forget about it an go drink/eat/smoke away your problems, though is stuff gets serious he will get serious.
Gluttony's powers are Omnivorousness (i.e. you can eat anything.), and tounge manipulation. In turn the users addictions will be increased ten fold, and will mutate to be more and more toadlike.

Pride
Pride is very proud, not only of himself, but also of others. He believes everyone can become perfect, if they aren't already, and is a staunch believer in the thought that everybody is equal in their perfection. He can be somewhat oblivious to insults, though, as he couldn't understand why anybody would insult anybody else. He literally cannot understand sarcasm unless someone tells him they were being sarcastic.
This tends to get very annoying, very quick. His powers include getting a little bit better at everything, little by little, which may sound OP but by this mean you go up .001% every week. That you use that ability. He also makes people far more quickly self-confident, which can go to dangerous levels. He has no mutations.

Greed
Greed is the de facto leader of the Seven, and is very pragmatic. He has lead many businesses, including actively creating Venice as a pet project, and his idea of fun... differs from what we would consider to be so.
The powers gained from Avarice are: Increased Intellect, Increased Luck. He slowly mutates the person to be more Rat-Like, including glowing red eyes, a snout, and sharper incisors. The longer one uses Avarice the more they crave more things, be they Gold, Money, Fame, or Teapots (That was a very weird experience for the 7)

Please note that I will probably speed up mutations for RP purposes and fun and profit, so him using say, Wrath, will quickly make him demonlike and grow horns. Not HUGELY demon like, but pretty demonlike.

Personality: Jason is angry, combative, and scornful. His 15 years away from Camp has turned him from a righteous teenager into a grizzled, unstable veteran. Jason feels some remorse for his fellow demigods, but has nothing but hatred for the gods, including his own father.

Description: Jason stands a little over 6 feet tall, a mass of muscle and scars. From the elbow down, Jason's left arm is encased in a steel gauntlet that's bolted into his arm. The son of Hades prefers to wear long-sleeve t-shirts and jeans, as well as black, worn combat boots and a patchwork jacket. A long scar runs across his scalp and down his face, which is framed by ragged brown hair and a stubbly brown beard.

Power Level: Low to mid 1

Jason use to be blessed with many abilities by his father, ranging from retractable claws to Shadow Walking, but all those gifts have now faded. Now, Jason has only the passive gifts that were given to him by his immortal blood. Jason is stronger and faster than most people, but, notably, a mixture of constitution and willpower makes Jason extremely difficult to kill. Some, over the years, have equated this skill to Hades refusing to accept his son's death.

Jason once had a plethora of magical and mystical weapons and armor, but the last 15 years has not been kind. Jason now fights with a large, razor sharp broadsword, made of half celestial bronze and half cast iron.

Jason first came to Camp Half-Blood when he was 15. It took the young man a little while to settle in, but when he finally did he leaped into training with enthusiasm, and it was clear that the demigod was made of the stuff of heroes. He fought well, treated people with respect, and was honorable to a fault. He excelled at fighting monsters, knew no fear, and made whatever sacrifices he had to to protect those who went on quests with him. Until, when Jason was 19, he had a confrontation just outside of Camp's borders with his father. No one knows what they argued about, but Jason came back to camp full of hatred. The next day, while training, the young man killed three other demigods in a fit of rage. For his crime, Jason was exiled from Camp for 15 years, certain death to almost anyone. No one has heard from Jason since. A few rumors trickled in from Satyrs, a hydra killed in San Francisco, a pack of Harpies chasing someone across Kansas, a three day siege of a junkyard on the Texas-Mexico border, little things. Unconnected events, accompanied by whispered attributions to the rogue son of Hades, on a 15 year death sentence.
A death sentence that ended yesterday.
