[NEXUS] OOC 17: This Title For Rent

It isn't a plot, really. The Objects are very powerful artifacts that will cause the apocalypse if they're ever brought together, and people have been collecting them.

Everything you want to know about the Objects is on the Holders website. As for how they got into the Nexus, they drifted in gradually, little by little, over the course of many months.

As for how the characters got them, they either followed the instructions on the Holders site, or they killed the person who did. A couple of characters were actually given Objects by other Seekers, but that's pretty rare. Usually once you have one, you don't want to let it go.

And the High Priest (meaning epic level cleric) of Telasur, unofficial demon lord, keeper of world creating artifacts, ect. Although, somehow, despite being insanely overpowered in theory, he seems to get his butt kicked every time he fights anybody.

Dalev merely raises his hand, and anything on his face is no doubt reduced to a cinder, as hellfire envelops him. Not anymore. If any of you assassins, murderers for hire, and so on are interested in making a bit of money, now that SAINT is apparently gone, I in fact have a job for someone willing to murder people for large amounts of gold.

No no no..... He's subtely controlling a demon lord who rules over one of the layers of the Abyss, allowing him to use the pathetic weakling demons to further his own goals, all while killing as many of them as possible..... That's the definition of devilish.

So...over the weekend I had a 40k Apocalypse game with my orks and well, long story short...

Yes. I made a mek stompa from scratch.
Why? Because Big Meks and their toys are the funnest. ****. EVER.

My army usually consists of a couple full squads of boys led by nobs and warbosses, some lootas and flash gitz and a fully upgraded battlewagon with big mek with shield generator, some deff dreads, deffkoptas, nobs in trukks, nobs on bikes, and some grots and boys surrounding a warp 'ead.

If there's points left over, I add a shokk attack gun, kommandos, possibly storm boyz, an extra couple boys with shootas instead of sluggas, and some tankbustas. Never looted wagons, though, they suck.

In this game, though, I got to use my three fighta-bommas and my squiggoth and mek stompas.

My tactic consists of letting the gunny boys and the forcefield mekk take cover and shoot from range, and then the infantry surge forward while the koptas and kommandos stay in reserve and the tankbustas move around the side. My fast attack gets behind the tanks and bigger enemies and my nobs with power klaws quickly eliminate them. The kommandos come in from hiding to take out artillery, and the deffkoptas deploy and use their turbo boost to drop bigbomms on heavy weapons team.

I have had three draws, and have yet to lose. I have played 31 games as of tonight.
