Well, that's an interesting plan for DM. Still evil through, which is a problem when the rest of the group is good.

Meh, they wouldn't get enough XP to take over the whole East Blue. Also, they have nowhere the man power to control such a large area. Yeah, it would be in character for pirates but the plan still seems flawed.

edit: I'm a little diappointed by DM today. I thought it wouldn't be cut that short for Rika to hand her the gun.

Hmm, so that leaves Luke and Cory to deal with DM. I don't quite remember this.

From what I remember of the Kuro fight, Luke wins with some broken grapple-attack combo.

So... to anyone who has already seen this video, I've thought about it and decided to make the movie for real. I am currently looking for voice actors/actresses.

Details for auditioning for a part can be found here.

Well, that was fast. My AMV got taken down. Thought it'd be up for at least a couple more months or something. >_>

Ah well... good thing I didn't use my current account for that. ^_^

So has anyone ever even had this happen? Had a player that didn't want their character to join the party? I can't even understand the mindset of such a thing. DM does know she is in fact not the dungeon master right?

Must be why Luke is so mad.

Yes. Or at least, to some extent. A friend of mine played a thief who had no intent at all to join our (more or less) righteous party until he got his finger stuck in a magic ring than threatened to take the finger off.

I think it's not a bad feature for a character. A party is often not very homogenous and it feels much weirder of very different characters just decide to join together as opposed to one or another being forced in some way to go along against his free will.

I know it's not Oda writing the comic but the "wild child trait" is a very Oda-like foreshadowing. Nice one.

Bwahahaha, it may be a cheap shot at the grapple rules, but its stil hilarious

To be honest, what DM did is not much different from what Luke did, remember he did brute-force the party towards being pirates.

And for that matter, some people just crave the intense challenge that comes from competing with other players, while the life of a character you care about is on the line, i can ensure you it can actualy give a quite decent rush of adrenaline.

Its just another style of playing, thats all.

I don't think that is the same thing since Luke still wanted them to work as a party while DM wanted to kill the party.

But anyways, why do you guys think the entire party (except Zoro) are reacting the way they are then?

I dont see the difference, both DM and Luke wanted to use force to push their vision of how the party should be though.

I'm not referring to the raiding of the village. I am referring to this line:
"Luke, buddy. I don't think she planned on joining our party in the first place." Notice that DM does not deny this. How is not joining the party at all wanting to use force to push their vision of how the party should be? Or do you mean that DM's vision of how the party should be is that they should be dead?

It is true that DM did mention that she was surprised that Luke and Cory didn't try and get in on raiding the village, but it was said OOC and not exactly an offer either.

Thanks Rika, now Luke ring DM's bell. I can understand wanting some party conflict, but setting up a character that isn't going to work with the party is not fair to others players or the gamemaster.

    It wasnt confirmed either.
And while Luke's vision was of crazy high fantasy adventures on the sea, with only the name in common with real pirates, then DM's vision were of a evil group of backstabbing pirates killing everything and everyone for loot and xp, while competing among themself for the intense thrill of pvp combat.

So... I just finished watching Young Justice. Is it weird that I immediately wondered what kind of players would role-play the main cast? :p

Hmm... maybe I should start making those other universe comics again... >_>
