Hey guys look what I did!

Man it's been like a year since I've picked this puppy up. That transition Bflat is a pita since even before this I used to just play things in the lower octaves just because the higher pitches are loud.

The audio is recorded from my laptop microphone which is MY EXCUSE for why it's so crappy and I'm sticking to it I swear I used to be a lot better.

Oh and for the super discerning ear, yes, that's G minor rather than G major

Tis okay, my microphone makes me sound overly airy.. =P

Here's my recording, as promised. This is the piece/excerpt (it's only about the first two pages, my audition had to be under three minutes and that was best place to stop) I auditioned for Governor's School with:

Sonatina for Flute and Piano by Eldin Burton

There's a couple little mistakes/squeaks, I haven't played it since... February? I think? Something like that.

I'm working on the Doppler Hungarian Fantasie right now, hopefully I'll post that in a couple months. I hate the crappy microphone making my mistakes sound bigger and my tone sound weird. =P

It's been... *counts on hand* six years? SIX YEARS since I played this instrument regularly Yeah by now they're tattered remains. I'm picking a lot of it back up and my fingers aren't in the sorry shape they were when I first started playing (yay for muscle memory?)

Still some of the turns I used to fly off my fingers are just staring at me and saying, "Really?" And my tongue isn't quite as good as it used to be
