Yes, but... I was tired and the chair was comfy, she says as if explaining herself. And I live in a cellar, not a cabin.

"Well you could move in a cabin. There are many free one and even some with less windows if light is the problem."

[Morty]

But I like living in a cellar. And so does Aunt Reelshka. Brinika's ears twitch. She thought everyone knew goblins like to stay underground.

[Cabin 8]

Yes. Ardent is all burny and filled with zeal! Where as argent is silvery and stuff. Seemed like good terms to describe the sun and moon. Anywho!

By this time Kalis' AURA has died down completely, allowing him to shift back to human form! The sound of bones grinding against each other as his body warps is kind of disturbing. When he's back to normal he's still wearing his clothing! He still isn't sure how it survives the transformation process.

"Round?" Kalis asks in a questioning tone. "How... How could a world be round? You mean like a ball, right?" this sounds like nonsense to him, honestly. "How in the heavens would people walk around on the bottom without falling off?"

The very idea is preposterous!

"...think of it this way: everything on the ball is attracted to its center by magical particals," Shrike explains after a moment. "It's called gravity, and the magical particles are gravitons."

"Well if you like it. But make better sure you sleep in your bed, so your aunt knows where you are at night. Ok?"

Meanwhile, Brianna is relaxing outside, playing a guitar.

Spooooooky magical particles that refuse to be detected! But faith is maintained that they exist none the less. Just like Kalis maintains faith that the thing bound to him is eating his soul even though... well... He honestly isn't sure exactly what a soul is specifically. Or what would happen if the monster ate it.

Though he suspects it would be bad.

Faith is funny like that. Everyone has it. Some people just choose to have faith in rather odd things. But to each their own!

Kalis finds that explanation kind of odd. Everyone knows that things just fall down! Things falling to the center of a ball because of magic? That sounds way too complicated.

He simply shrugs a human shrug, glad to be back in his normal body again.

"Well... Let's assume for a moment that your first guess was right. That I'm an Exalted like you are. Is there any way to get this demon out of me so it'll stop trying to goad me into eating people?"

Andy seems a bit more intimidation now. For a moment when Jack talks in mind he looks at something behind him.

"I said the whole story. Beginn somewhere after your birth and end by today. Even the smallest detail is important for me."

He press a button and the robot who was in the other room entered the room taking a seat as well.

Jack looks at him. Unperturbed. Expression flat.

Then he laughs a little, the suddenness of it probably a little disconcerting. "Man, I already a told you. I don't got a story left to start." He raises his hands in a questioning gesture. "Whaddya want out of me?"

[Outside]

Sarah is wandering without a care in the world.

Jack looks at him. Unperturbed. Expression flat.

Then he laughs a little, the suddenness of it probably a little disconcerting. "Man, I already a told you. I don't got a story left to start." He raises his hands in a questioning gesture. "Whaddya want out of me?"

[Outside]

Sarah is wandering without a care in the world.

"What do you mean by 'I don't got a story left to start'. Doesn't sound like you told me al, since you haven't said that to me befor."

[Morty]

[Main Cabin]

"Well if you like it. But make better sure you sleep in your bed, so your aunt knows where you are at night. Ok?"

...no, really. Exaltation is for life. Once you have it, that's it. The divine shard that is the Exaltation fuses to the soul, melding with it - it can be changed, under special circumstances, to a different sort of Exaltation, but not removed."
And she knows all about mirroring an Exaltation, doesn't she?

Jamie wanders back out to join Brinika and the rest!

"That said, there are enough differences that I'd want to do some tests. Heck, I might see if I can contact Lytek and see if he can't take a poke around."

After they are gone Andy could drop his nothings wrong face and tend back to the oh my god what the hell is happening expression.

Brinika waves at Sarah enthusiastically. Sarah! Come over here!

"What do you mean by 'I don't got a story left to start'. Doesn't sound like you told me al, since you haven't said that to me befor."

"Amnesia, pal. I could be Lucifer himself and I wouldn't be able to tell." Jack knocks on his head, as if to show how hollow it is right now.

[Outside]

Brinika waves at Sarah enthusiastically. Sarah! Come over here!

Sarah skips on over, happy to see her goblin friend. "Hey Brinika! What's going on?"

Natalie, a black-haired and green-eyed human girl of about ten years old wearing a denim dress and red rucksack is wandering around. She doesn't seem very aware of her surroundings, or at least not people; she looks at interesting clouds, passing butterflies and occasionally drops to her knees to look at grasshoppers and crickets in the grass.

Hmmm...

Well.

That isn't very reassuring.

"Great," Kalis replies, his tone rather dour. He's still pretty darn sure that he isn't like these Exalted people. Except in superficial resemblance. But this latest revelation really doesn't provide much in the way of hope.

Probably because he doesn't feel like getting killed.

"As much as it was fun comparing notes about our respective worlds I think this was... kind of a dead end," might be a pun! "Thanks for the help, though."

Then the fox-girl speaks up! Kalis gives her an uncertain look. "Who is Lytek and what would 'poking around' consist of?"

I'm inviting everyone to visit me in my cave in the colony. Jamie and Abigail are coming. Do you want to come too? Needless to say, she's positively giddy about the whole thing.

"Lytek is the God of Exaltation," Shrike explains. "One of his jobs is...'cleaning' an Exaltation between hosts. Don't tell him but sometimes he does a better job than others..."

What would that even...

No, Kalis doesn't want to know. That's just too weird to consider. Though apparently cleaning the insanity off of them isn't possible.

"So... This guy is a god of soul cleaning?" that seems like an odd job. "And... what would he do with me?"

Getting his soul scrubbed of memory and personality really doesn't seem like something that Kalis would enjoy. He rather likes having memory and personality.

"I'd love to!" Sarah replies, giving a glance towards her father's cabin. "I'd have to let my dad know, though. Uh, can I invite my friend Saera too?"

[Morty]

Brinika's ears twitch with curiosity. Sure. Who is she?

"He's basically the god that does maintenence on Exaltations. Due to that, he probably knows more about them except Autocthon, so he'd be able to give a definitive answer as to whether what you have is an Exaltation or not."

Brinika's ears twitch with curiosity. Sure. Who is she?

Saera is the half-angel girl sitting on the feet of an upside-down Crae who is using his sleeve as a fire hose on a flaming bush! ... Probably not the best first impression, if they actually get introduced now.

"And don't worry, he only cleans them between hosts. Makes sure all the old memories are cleaned out and all that," Shrike explains with a smile.

"Oh, it would be cool to have her come along! She's nice," Jamie says with a grin.

Brinika's ears twitch with curiosity. Sure. Who is she?

"Uh... this nice girl staying here with her brother. I think she's..." Sarah looks around, spotting her friend, and laughs a bit. "Oh. There. You know her too Jamie?"

Brinika blinks. Um... what is she doing?

Saera is giggling, mainly, at Crae's silliness. Five year olds are really easy to amuse.
