Kalis considers this offer for some time. He could know for sure... Buuut... The young man just shakes his head. "You know, it's a nice offer. But I'm going to decline. As flattering as it might be to have a god take some time out of his busy schedule to bother with me I just don't think this would be worth it. If you're right then I'm doomed. I have no hope at all. If you're wrong then there might still be hope for me, but we still won't know what we're dealing with."

Aside from a malevolent demon eating his soul.

"So given that choice? I would rather not know. At least then I'll be able to motivate myself looking for a cure."

He gives a wave as he turns and heads for the door.

"Thanks for your time."

"Sorry we couldn't be of more help."
Shrike shrugs. And waves.

Kalis is sorry they couldn't help more as well...

It's all really strange, though. He isn't nearly as nervous about this as he thought he would be. Maybe it's just because having your soul eaten doesn't actually have any feeling to it. Just a slow shift in personality until that monster is all that's left.

He doesn't know that, though.

Seems to him having one's very being devoured should hurt like the dickens.

And thus Kalis is left standing outside the Cabin trying ot figure out what to do next.

"She seems like she's having fun." Sarah says, watching Saera with an amused expression.

[Infirmary]

Dr. Rein is scribbling something at the desk he had moved in here.

[Lakeside]

Fettina's practicing here once more on her portable glowing piano. A vague song, not of earth, drifts through the camp. It's a sleepy, slow, deep tune.

"Yeah, she does."
Sarah might notice Jamie sounds a little wistful, perhaps.

Abigail looks at Jamie. "You okay?"

"Yeah. You seem a little down." Sarah says, studying her adopted sister.

"Huh? Oh. Yeah, I'm fine."
Jamie smiles a little.
"Just...sometimes I wish I hadn't grown up quite so fast."

"Ah..."

Abigail sits down. Partially so she isn't towering over the others. "Least you had a childhood."

Jamie nods, now looking guilty for having complained about that in front of Abigail. D'awww.

"Yeah." Sarah echoes quietly, looking at Abigail and Jamie. Stop being so solemn, fools! The First Seed demands it!

[Elm Cabin - Kirk's Room]

Ermine returns to GLoG, in human form. She twitches an ear and looks around, before heading toward Elm Cabin. That's obviously where the pirates are meeting.

How does she know? To make things easier.

The pretty pirate lets herself into the cabin and then, following OOC knowledge her ears, into Kirk's room! And lets herself in there too, without knocking. What if Captain Kirk was doing the whole 'Captain Kirk' routine? Trick question, ugly elves don't do that.

Anyway, Ermine nods to the assembled "pirates" and stands there looking pirate-y.

"Yarr. What be us sea, arrr, sky dogs be doin' today? Kirk?"

"Sorting out some details for the ship and figuring out where we're setting up shop." Kirk grins at the pirate. "Ermine, meet Vritra and Chumley. Ladies Ermine."

[Reinholdt]

[Outside]

Reinholdt is wandering about. Could meet anyone I suppose.

Shortly afterwards, Rachel appears. She's wearing..... the exact same thign she was wearing at BDD, and it looks like she packed.... absolutely nothing. What kind of PC actually says what she's carrying, anyway? That's boring.

"Hey. So... is this the place?"

Reinholdt might meet the girls!

Or Quinn, who's leaning up against the deadtimed Tobias!


"So. Learn anything good lately?" Jamie asks Sarah, changing the subject.

[Elm Cabin - Kirk's Room]

Ermine grins and nods.

"Pleased ta meet'cha two. I'm gonna be doin' tha real piratin', since none of our crew so far's been lookin' like ye've 'ad real experience."

She blinks and her eyes flicker down a little at the wolf whistle, but she does not comment on the sound coming seemingly out of no where.

She glances around and raises an eyebrow at Rachel.

"Ello. I suppose so."

"Uh... sorta. Saera tried to teach me how to summon a butterfly, but it mostly just ended up splattering weird colors and stuff everywhere." Sarah brightens up at the memory. It had been amusing.

Infirmary

"I'm just fine." The Doctor says, looking up from his papers and smiling a genuine smile. Not one of the fake, professional kind. "I think I'd be better, though, if you called me Adrian. You don't have to be so professional around here. How've you been?"

Jamie gasps!
"Oh, no. It...hurt the butterfly?"
She looks a bit distraught at this.
...Neirian likes butterflies, after all!

"Hey Quinn. What are we looking at?" Reinholdt asks, looking at the construction work.

Sorry, um, Adrian. She gives a nervous smile. Old habits die hard.

Quinn glares (good-naturedly) at her husband's deadtime-oozed figure.
"Slick here managed to distract me from asking what it was."

Wait, Ermine's here? In that case, Ermine may feel something plop down on top of her hat. Something that meows and also wears a hat.. Trilby wants to be a parrot too!

[Outside]

The bush dealt with, Crae has an idea! He points his coat sleeve at Saera and blasts her with water, causing her to smile and giggle as she's lifted up, off of his feet, back toward the ground, and then even a couple of seconds after impact. And then she realizes that now she's cold and wet and falling hurts. So there's the pouting, and Crae doesn't know how to deal with that, so there's no way he can deal with the actual crying and stuff that come next.

[Reinholdt]

Construction Site

"Oh? Oh, hello, Reinholdt. I...actually don't know."
Quinn glares (good-naturedly) at her husband's deadtime-oozed figure.
"Slick here managed to distract me from asking what it was."

Reinholdt looks at where Quinn is looking, greatly confused.
"Umm... who?"

"Tobias. I found him supervising the Limeys building the place so I asked what it was. He used Discuss the Lich Distraction on me."
Quinn shakes her head. Bemused.


Outside

Jamie gasps.
And jumps up to run over to Crae and Saera!

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt looks back at where Quinn was looking, then back to Quinn, then back at the spot, then back at Quinn.
"Umm... Quinn? There's no one there..." Reinholdt says, a bit worried.

[Murkus]

"You were... kidnapped, right?" Adrian says carefully, not wanting to overstep.

Jamie gasps!
"Oh, no. It...hurt the butterfly?"

Then Saera falls! Oh noes! The little blonde rushes after her sister, frowning.
