Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Yes, though there's surprisingly little testing that backs that up, at least from what I've heard. Still, I'm in a game that will be using it once we unlock our Zoids, and I'm running a gundam-inspired game using it, so that might change.
He fears his fate too much, and his reward is small, who will not put it to the touch, to win or lose it all.

Zords, not Zoids. Wrong genre.
But yes, we'll be stress testing those rules in another month or so, the way the game is going.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
New random thought:
The Ebon Dragon has been in the throws of Limit Break since they were locked into Malfeas, with no way to reduce it. So he has embarked on a grand scheme to play against his Torment Reducer, in hopes to break his Limit Break.
The entire Reclamation is solely built around the Ebon Dragon getting to marry the Scarlet Empress twice.
The fact that he gets to escape is just an added bonus.

Can you use an Act of Villiany to get yourself out of Limit Break prematurely?

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Isn't the Fetich of a Yozi still considered that Yozi, technically?
So the whole UCS becoming the ED isn't that big of a deal.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Please note that the Unconquered Sun being TED's Fetich isn't Canon.
Also no they are not the same entity. He would become The Ebon Dragon in the way that the Brass Dancer is Malfeas or the Demon City is. A Fetich however is a much lesser creature, greater then the other souls true but lesser than the whole. This is made abundantly clear by the results of their respective deaths. If Ligier were to die Malfeas would continue as a living being even if one completely different from what he once was. If the Brass Dancer were to be slain however Malfeas would become a Neverborn.Avatar by Elagune

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
It's fanon in some circles (of which I personally approve), that based on the Unconquered Sun's creation myth and the way ED used his creation to define himself and come more properly into existence as it were that the Unconquered Sun is Ebby's Fetich Soul. This throws the rebellion into some new light, potentially explains why they didn't put Ebby through fetich death, etc. etc.
Edit: Also, there's very little mechanical difference between gods and demons.

Liger is a Fetich. He's not a....Jouten(or however it's spelled), like both the demon city, or the Humanoid Brass Dancer.
He fears his fate too much, and his reward is small, who will not put it to the touch, to win or lose it all.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Fetich death doesn't necessarily make you lesser. It just changes you. What makes the Yozis less then they were is the oaths extracted from them and the rituals performed on them.
Fetich death is actually stated to be the only way to fix Autochthon's sickness, though given that they call it the fetich roulette, it's more than a bit of a gamble.Awesome Cyborg Doom Monkey avatar by Lord Fullbladder, Master of Goblins. Offer up your robo-bananas to him.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Actually Book... That gives me a good motivation for my Void Lord character... A sort of Anti-Villain. He knowingly infected himself with Gremlin Syndrome because it's the only way he can cure Autocthon. He wrote part of his memories, his motivation mainly, into an adamant core and had an ally hide it. When a specific time comes, he'll have the core implanted into him (or set up a Batman Gambit to have a bunch of Champions 'force' it into him) which will send an anti-virus through his body, purifying his Gremlin Syndrome. This will come only after he's slain Autocthon's Fetich soul.
It's crazy enough to work.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
Well, wouldn't killing his Fetich soul cure everyone of Gremlin Syndrome? The adamant core would just be in case that reset doesn't keep his memories.

Doesn't matter, fetich death erases all his charms and gives him a new set.
Primordials are made up entirely by their charms, and fetich death literally causes them to stop being who they used to be.

Re: General Exalted Discussion IV: Roll Join Debate
I like to think Fetich Death would turn Autochthon into his nearly completely opposite. Which is to say, The Fonz. His only vestige of being the Great Maker would be akin to that one Adorjan Charm - "Fond Remembrance of Autochthon" which would allow him to punch broken objects until they start functioning again.
Also, I'm going to go turn that into a Malfeas Charm.5e D&D Mythos Classes
