I'm a new D&D DM, but have been playing for many years as a PC, so I'm hoping to learn some things here, and share whatever I have to offer with whoever wants to hear/listen/read lol. Hello, all. I'm Dark Knight Spider. I've been:

(1) heavily engaged in free form RP for ten years (I'm that old, yes),

(2) reading OoTS for three years (I was introduced to the comic via the infamous What to Expect When You're Expecting Assassins strip),

(3) lurking in your forums for two years (and I rather like the place).

I recently decided to branch out and start learning to RP via D&D/d20 and this seemed like a good place to learn how to play the game. I've gone over the 3.5 rules and handbook, giving me a tenuous grasp of how things work, but I'm still a complete newbie with the whole schtick... so I expect there to be lots of explanation and clarification as I bumble about like an idiot. ;)

Hey hey, so I just registered, and figured that I ought to post here before doing whatever I should do. I've been kinda lurking on these forums for about a year (I use quite a bit of stuff from here in the few DnD games that I've played), and have been reading the OotS comics for quite some time (2-ish years, maybe? I can't remember). I honestly don't even know when I started.

I'm somewhat familiar with the basics of DnD, but I'm not an expert or anything. I also really, really like Tome of Battle. And warblades. Gotta love that capstone.

Uhh... hi. I've been a lurker for a while now, usually reading over some of the stories and PbP games people post (and occasionally the homebrew section when I need something for my 4e game or my Pathfinder game). I'm well-versed in 3.5, Pathfinder is a little shaky for me, and I literally just started 4e.

So after an excruciatingly long time of lurking, I decided to give this whole 'posting' thing a chance. So...hiya!

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been reading OotS and intermittently lurking the forums since strip #447, and I figured I would finally make an account after spending all these years watching.

I was drawn to OotS because I've been an RPG enthusiast ever since the days of the Super Nintendo, starting with Super Mario RPG, of all games. From there I developed a borderline unhealthy obsession with such greats as Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Final Fantasy IV/VI, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, and so on. I'm a seasoned forum RPer as well, and even though I've only recently begun tabletop RPing, I've been familiar with D&D rules/mechanics/whatnot for a long time simply so I could understand most of OotS' meta jokes. Despite not understanding a lot of the humor at first, I still enjoyed the story and the characters wholeheartedly.

Having seen OotS' greatness over all these years, I look forward to being a part of the forums associated with such a fantastic comic. And so, to wrap up all my rambling, I'll end with a simple hello to all you kind forum folk.

Hello there all you good people!

I'm a fairly experienced real life and MMO roleplayer (because what is the point of playing an MMO if not to exercise your imagination even more ) who's looking to expand his horizons into the realm of play-by-post. Especially since NOBODY I know seems to want to play Dungeons: the Dragoning, so I thought I'd try and join a game on here. Hopefully I'll fit in just fine.
