Exactly! It's the same spectacular quality in kid's programming, just with a different set of values and assumptions!

    Always Fabulous
    Is the lovely dress maker
    Oh Miss Rarity
    ----

    Oh Twilight Sparkle
    Socially awkward bookworm
    Prone to the slapstick
    ---
    The quiet pony
    Friend to all the animals
    You SHALL all love her

Greetings, fillies and gentlecolts! Stopping in to respond to the (nowapage and a half or so back) comment of "the thread has died!". Wednesday and Thursday are my only free time - barring 26 hour days to talk to ponies online - so I'm going to be relatively sparse on these breaks.

I feel the urge to post however, because years of gentelcoltly manners and courtesy have finally paid off.

A friend in traffic is trying to make a left turn in the middle of a lane, and a large van filled with grizzled, bearded biker men gives us space and a hand signal: make your turn.
I tip my hat to the driver, as is my custom.
    He tips his hat back.

I am vindicated! Friendship is magic! Courtesy is contagious! Thanqol is right, and liing life as one series of awesome wonders after another is The Best Way To Live.

I eagerly await the results of this challenge.

Also I'm currently working on getting the 8-bit version of Evil Enchantress set up as my cellphone's ringtone. My phone is being difficult but I will find a way!

This is just awesome. I can't help but ask what type of hat you were wearing. The only way this story could be better is if you were wearing a top hat or similarly gentlecoltly head attire.

Oddly, I don't have that problem. Then again, the crazy guys in the other forums I frequent, tend to change their avatar every month or so.

You I remember because it is my life goal to constantly one two up you. You wrote Through a Glass Derply, so I wrote ... And Apple Accessories (not that AAA is inherently better). You recorded other people's fanfics, I recorded a single fanfic and then sent it to Sethisto for wide scale distribution. You threatened to give a unicorn cancer, I threatened to harvest its appendix for love. Seriously, you push a lot of my Pony ambition.

Ah! And so it is with me! I really got started with some of my more ambitious pony projects due to my reflexive desire to outdo everyone. But my preferred pattern is to innovate sideways.

    Historical:
    - People celebrate Derpy Day? I WILL CELEBRATE DERPY DAY TO THE MAX
    - People like ponies? I WILL WRITE PONY FANFICTION
    - People write fanfiction? I WILL READ ALL THE FANFICS
    - People read fanfiction? I WILL WEAR NOTHING BUT PONY CLOTHING

    Projected:

    - People wear pony clothing? I WILL PAINT RAINBOW DASH'S CUTIE MARK ON MY CAR
    - People drive pony cars? I WILL STALK LAUREN FAUST WHEREVER SHE GOES
    - People stalk Lauren Faust? I WILL BUILD AN UNDERGROUND COMPLEX RUN BY A ROGUE AI WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF BUILDING A PORTAL TO PONYVILLE

    And so on.

Is it bad that this makes me yearn to stalk her (or to say I am) just so you get started sooner?

I just wanted to post this, since I've been binging on ponies that last couple days. It's part of a series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6k-3l4gSSk

Also, I recently attended a party where I ended up with a knock-off MLP with blue hair, pink coat and a Daisy cutie-mark.

Same here, except it only takes me a few hours unless it is really drastic. Though I have like 6 avatars, 5 of them are of the same theme (Half-fiend hobgoblin variants, IIRC Pony, Normal, Warhammer 40k, Genederbent, and Nationality, which was American.) I like keeping them all the same theme so they are recognizable. I had a Dwarven Warlord avatar, but it has been lost to the interwebs sadly.
Credit for my various avatars goes to Dashwood,Cealocanth,Kwarkpudding,Randomizer, kpengu in,Alarra,Bisected8,zimmerwald1915, and Thanqol.

I clearly have ponies on the brain today, as the evil notion of the mirror universe of Equestria swam into my skull. Wherein Pinkie manages to drop the mane cast through a mirror to a comically evil mirror universe where everyone has Evil Beards (yes, even the fillies)... I would also like to squarely lay the blame on recently watching my favourite Red Dwarf episode, Demons and Angels...

The trouble is, when such an idea for a terribad parody gets in my head, in tends to stick there, until the vanishingly rare occasion when the coherent Stupid builds up enough to make me actually write it down (like that one Naruto Ramanman spoof I did...) As I am, honestly, despite amusing myself with the thought, unlikely to get my arse around to actually writing anything (especially a such a parody would require probably more than a one-shot to pull off well) , I thought I might subject you, at least in concept form, to the swirling mass of terrible thoughts and silliness that plague me about it. Y'know, for giggles. (And heck, the idea's crying out for fanart and I have sadly little talent in that area, either...)

Picture then, a dark land of eternal night, ruled soley by the evil Queen Infernia, (a pitch-black alicorn with blood red, fire orange and blistering yellow hair and mane), who banished her sister, the princess Solar to the sun a thousand years ago - in several pieces...

Infernia is served by her (mostly-inept) minions, the wielders of the Elements of Dischord: the lazy, pathological liar Applehack, the emotionless assassin Greenie Die1, the mind-splinteringly stupid Morning Gloom, the unkempt, vile-smelling and utterly foul (in all senses of the word) Rawity (who keeps trying to seduce Blunt, Morning Gloom's dragon handler2, to his utter disgust) and stratagist Painbow Smash, the reserved and calculating mistress of the much-fear Chronic Painboom). The Elements of Dischord are kept under tight control by the pitiless iron hooves of their undisputed leader, the fear-inspiring Butcherfry and her killer rabbit henchbunny, Demon (both of whom are said to have cooked and eated their prior victims...)

The Queen's most feared enforcers, of course are the far-more-capable Kootie Mark Invaders: Appledoom, Creepy Hell and the gun-toting Shootaloo.

(And that would be my favorite part, sad though it is...)

Other residents the mane cast might run afoul of might include Master Whoof, the adolecent colts Whips and Nails and their often-drunken filly classmate Pisst...

    *casts Protection from Normal Internets*

You may now commense with the throwing of things.

(And if you think this is silly, you really don't want to know about that HeRon and the Gingers of the Universe Harry Potter fic idea that's been floating around in my head...)

1You might have to check a colour circle to fully get that one.

2I'm struggling with this one, to be honest. "Spike" isn't an easy word to make an opposite or humorously evil anologue of. Morning Gloom isn't great either, to be honest, but it's at least better.
