Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Heh. Reading the wolf QT was a blast. I find it funny how often Banjo and I were up for nightkill and saved at the last moment. Not that I'd have died.
I wonder. I seemed to be an unlikely Baner prospect all along, but the fact is, I didn't see another reason for this except the fact that I'd imagine I'd be attacked early (But I said early on that I'd like to not be attacked early this time since I die so often. An obvious tell in hindsight, no? It might've even saved me a night-one death.)
And the bane on Supagoof. The wolves seemed to fixate on 'Baner didn't protect himself - probably a new player?' but would a new player have known to bane Supagoof just based on the fact that Fleeing Coward was targeted early? I mean, the chances of that being a random bane were quite unlikely, to say the least.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
It's more like that with your luck with early NKs, you (and other players with a bigger reputation) would probably not risk the wolves letting you live simply because you've asked for it and would have then baned yourself, at least for the first few nigths.
Well, I don't think I have to say how wrong we were, so, well played.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
I was amazed how often Julian84 came up with the exact right plan and how many times it was shot down.
*takes note of his skills*
But reading that was fun.
I think I have to give the medal to this quote though. If only cause I'm egotistical:

Also, Goof did an incredible job setting up the network and that really hurt the wolves.
I also see a major problem with quicktopic in that it's a guaranteed way to prove your innocence.Last edited by Reinholdt; 2011-07-26 at 07:13 PM.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Twas my first real experience of large games, and boy do I need to improve there.
Well done to the Masons, and I'm sorry my wolf friends. I made a botch job of the Seer Claim and got killed fairly easily.
Although I'm going to take pride in the fact I was seer claimed against. Not sure you'd've been able to lynch me otherwise.
Note: That's not saying I was unlynchable, just that I have an ego.Last edited by bladescape; 2011-07-26 at 09:10 PM.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Great game, I loved being in the network and being useful!
Razovor came to me and FC on night 1 thinking we both were masons. He was half right, and was the reason I was scried.
I'm also glad my RP was so well received.
As for being proxy, I was paranoid up until the DAY of the night I died, figuring I'd be an easy target (and seeing wolf chat confirms that... can't believe I went down to a coinflip). By that time I felt bulletproof.
Shots rang out, as shots are wont to do.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Reading the links, it is interesting to see how much my name came up.
After guessing right on Matthias, I guessed wrong with Khal and RulesLawyer, but had Ramsus and Gray Mage on my short list. After the second or third day of the village killing a wolf in a row, I just kinda gave up thought and followed the wagons since they were doing a better job than I.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
I figured they were thinking I switched off of you due to a claim. Checking wolf chat, it looks like you were just loud.
Once again, my suspect list was exactly half right. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Yay, good win guys, and well played.
Most of the game has been pretty well covered by others so I won't go into much detail. Great to read the wolf QT and see just how close I came to death several times, I came to the forum every day expecting to have been taken out! When I saw the mason list I thought we might be hosed. Several high profile players likely to be lynched or night-killed, and after the first two phases I saw that it was a well founded fear. Murska's calculated bane on Goof Night 2, followed by Goof's amazing networking powers pretty much gave the game to us. TsukikoJ was a great seer to have as well, an experienced player from other forums who was very new here and could lie low.
I had a few good guesses, and a few that were way off, but all in all this is the most fun I've had in a game for ages. I love being in a network, and all the intrigue and analysis that entails.
Thanks to Qwaz, Lex and RL for running the game, and doing a damn fine job. The narrations were good, and the schedule was kept to very tightly, which helps keep player interest high. Thanks guys.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
It's a good point about QT's. In future I will suggest masons/wolfs make their own to keep them fakeable (although I should point out anyone can use the name Qwaz in a QT)

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
I would half agree. The narrator setting up a wolf QT simplifies things (also, I'm lazy), but doesn't cause any problems because the wolves have a grand total of ONE person they MIGHT invite into the topic. And odds are that the Devil will only get in contact after scrying a wolf.
On the other hand, a mason QT does essentially give the masons a way of proving their identities to anybody else they bring into the network, which makes it easier for them. What do you mean "Dungeon Master" isn't a proper job?
Thanks to Thufir for the avatar.

great game, guys, it was a lot of fun to read, and I'll be keeping a lot of the stuff I saw in mind in the games I'm getting into.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Oh man, that was fun.
My head was spinning from night 2 on, I must say. I just came to really role play out a game, and turns out thanks to Murska's brilliance that I ended up a key player.
As a villager - never forget the importance of the villagers!
When Murska approached me, it was as if two experts had a conversation where a lot more was said then what was actually written. I think it went like this....
Murska - You're welcome.
Goof - Protect yourself.
I figured since the wolves attacked me early, that Murska would probably be the next on the hit list.
Banjo reaching out to me helped me clean up who was legit and who was trying to hide as a sheep. If he hadn't allowed me to use him as the scry proxy - I wouldn't have been able to trip up Bladescape who approached me as the seer.
Kudos to you on that as well Bladescape and team. That was a bold move, and I loved it.
Juggling all the contacts together and separately was tricky. I knew it'd only be a matter of time before they attacked me again, but gathering data and passing it onto the masons was key for me. As well as fishing out the seer/fool and with the wolves being so bold - I had no idea where the devil was in all that.
TsukikoJ - because I didn't know where the devil was - it was hard to build up trust in you. I apologize if it took awhile.
Masons - well played.
Thank you again Murska for saving my butt. Your smart decision really propelled the network to be setup.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
You know, I thought it'd been long enough since I'd done anything even remotely useful in a game that I might not be viewed as a threat anymore....but nope, still scried night's 1 and 3.... I love reading these things.

Re: Werewolf: Classic XIII
Wow, we got our butts handed to us Shucks, better luck next time.
It was an interesting second game for me, since I was a mason in the last classic (with Tasroth as our seer and Ramsus as our fool no less). I liked being able to see the other side of the story. That said, I think I like being a mason better.
@Reinholdt: Pure luck. I didn't really have a plan, I just made it up as I went along. Completely coincidental if any of it was the right thing to do. I don't have any real "skills".
...
Or do I?
Good game y'all. See you around in Werewolf XIV.Last edited by Julian84; 2011-07-27 at 10:17 PM.
