Dianne Swane had enjoyed today's lessons. The children had all been present and unusually attentive. All save Sebastien she checked herself. That boy was too bright for his classmates and the lessons most obviously bored him. Unfortunately for everyone her assistant had been away for a week and that meant Sebastian was crawling along at the pace of the slowest. She could have sworn he would burst with impatience when Domanic failed to add 3 to 5 correctly. Still having sat through a week of such torture he had, for the most part, contained himself and the week was thankfully drawing to a close.

Just 45 more minutes Dianne thought to herself.

Children. She said staring out over a sea of 5-6 year old faces. It's nearly home time so until it is I'll read you a story. Who wants to pick one out?

"The Elephants Suitcase!" shouted Samantha.
"No! The Picnic of Trolls!" countered Eddie, a boy tall for his age.

Immediatly there was pandamonium. Children yelling for their favourite tales. Backing up there friends. Making deals about supporting one choice or another now in return for similar treatment another day...

"Please Miss Swane. Can you read us Unlucky 13?" asked Sebastian almost too quietly to be heard over the din.

Trust Sebastian to want an historical tale.

Today we will begin Dianne said raising her voice Unlucky 13. We will not have time to finish it today but I'm sure we will have opportunities to continue in future.

Going to a bookshelf she picked out "A Study of Sanctuary 13". More for reference, than for a script. It wasn't a story for children. It was an account of what transpired in the last few days of Sanctuary 13. The children never failed to be amazed at her books. Almost everyone in sanctuary 8, including herself, was fitted with retinal displays which could, amoung other things, pull up almost any text you wanted for you private viewing pleasure. Dianne liked the feel of books though. There was something real about books.

Well children. The story begins, as you know, in Sanctuary 13. A Haven much like our own. In a small pub called "The Doorway". Now this pub was called The Doorway due to lying right next to the entrance to sanctuary 13. An old guard house had been converted after years of dis-use and the Landlord "Tom" had done roaring trade since it opened.

Now on one particular night, about 2 years ago, many of the regulars were celbrating Fin's birthday. They had all drank far too much and become very silly!

Banjo had taken Fin's hat and has started passing it around. Fin was so silly he didn't even notice! Reinholdt then took Banjo's hat and started stomping around playing an imaginary guitar! Can you play an imaginary Guitar?

Not for the first time did Dianne wish she hada camera set up in her classroom to record the masses of air-guitarists in front of her

Not to be outdone Thufir took Reinholdt's hat and put it out infront of Reinholdt so people could throw in come change while he busked with his imaginary guitar.

Bladescape got one hand on Thufir's hat but someone else whipped it away before he even got to admire it!

Soon hats were flying everywhere and noone knew who they belonged to! One gentlemen by the name of Qwaz did try to get everyone to return the hats but unfortunately noone listened to him.

All of a sudden Fin realsised his hat was missing and flew into a rage!

"Who's got it? Who's stolen my hat?"

If only everyone hadn't been quite so silly sighed Dianne hamming it up a little as she warmed to her role.

One smart alec piped up - "He took it! Qwaz and that Fairy* sitting next to him. he took it and he put it...OUTSIDE!"

[*Said smart alec maintained till his dying day that there had been a green fairy flying around Qwaz's head. What he'd been drinking can only be imagined]

Now children...What is the most important rule?

"Don't open the door!" They chorused.

Now you know that and so do I, but Fin...He was just so silly that he told Qwaz to "Go get it then!", opened the door & threw him out!

They all realised what was happening immediately and shut the door again but by then it was too late...

Over the next two weeks 99.99% of the population died of a disease from outside and of those that survived-

-BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRINGGGG!

Dianne sighed and shut the book. I guess we'll have to pick up the story of Unlucky 13 another time. Have a nice weekend everyone!

Summary: Qwaz and Lex-kat were thrown out of Sanctuary 13. They were the Narrators.
Day 1 begins now and ends in about 48 hours.

Lilli got up and started shuffling out of the classroom with the other students. She didn't want to go home yet though. She lingered in the classroom and hallway, watching the other students go by. She saw Bobby Archer stare at her and blushed looking away.

The Lady Tialait leans over, she peeks at calar's notes copying them.

A small raccoon was watching the kids from a tree.
A flag with a Fiery Tower hung from a pole and kept distracting him.

Deathslayer, I think we're playing out the vault 13 story not the classroom one.

Ramsus having wanted no part in this silliness, and now had a trampled hat to boot, had run like a Fleeing Coward the moment someone went to open the door.

Banjo at least has the honesty to look embarrassed. If he hadn't have stolen Fin's hat the door might not have been opened. He starts looking around for his own hat, thinking about where Reinholdt might have hidden it.

Please don't say you've thrown it outside kitteh, I like my skin and immune system just the way they are thank you!

Banjo grumbles and gives Reinholdt The Grimace, hoping he'll guilt trip him into getting his hat back.

Yeah definitely the vault 13 story.

But I do not think Deathslayer7 made a mistake. I think he was trying to confuse us all in order to be able to pursue his goal of getting away with stolen hats!

lol, while Sanctuary 13 is the main story please feel free to RP however you choose, or not at all...whatever. DS7 has given me a funny idea for something to include that otherwise would not have occured to me
