Fullbring Concept!

Not going to have the character up yet- to be honest, I kinda want it to be a surprise who this is.

Balance of Life and Death

This Fullbring is in the shape of a plain broadsword, with two lines carved into each side. Each time it is activated, these lines start off as simple carvings.

When activated, it has two modes- 'Life', and 'Death'. The second mode, 'Death', functions much as a broadsword does- at least at first.

The first mode, 'Life', however, heals instead of harming, becoming intangible and healing.

As the 'Life' mode heals, one of the lines fills up with a black energy. As the 'Death' mode harms, the other line fills up with white energy.

These two lines act as gauges- the white, measuring the effectiveness of 'Life', and the black, measuring the effectiveness of 'Death'. In effect, by healing, the Fullbring gains more power to harm, and by harming, it gains more power to heal.

I've had a look, and it appears to me that the Fullbring listed is sufficiently different in function from that modsoul's to be allowable. However, I do have to state that weapons which heal instead of harming when used to 'attack' make me feel a little queasy. It just seems like such an old and weary shtick.

By the way, besides swinging effectively, is there any reason that the user of that Fullbring can't stab himself repeatedly with the Life side prior to beating the stuffing out of his opponent?

EDIT: I've also come to the conclusion I've got relatively few "dark hero" songs in my repertoire, like this one. Suggestions are appreciated.

I was waiting happily for more conversation of Shrine Maiden junior and Monster cat Senior.

Basically, I'm both reluctant to grab the reins of a plot and bad at integrating myself into what's going on without assistance. I ended up creating a difficult situation for myself with Ayase's personality, and then just ran out of steam. I had ideas for further down the line, but no clue how to get to them.

I've always considered the over-the-top ham part of the fun of everything Gothic. Why dress in dark Victorianesque dress if not for the grandeur?

Then again, my first and favourite vampire movie was Van Helsing. So of course I love the ham.

Here's a thought. I feel like I'm partially responsible for this -- I was basically playing Denden, Ayase's 'better' half.

If you need suggestions on how to reintegrate her, give it another shot, even if not immediately... Well, I'm here.

I'd rather put it out there, even if it's just to hear "sorry, but no", than quietly accept it.

I have no idea what would happen if a hollow-tainted Quincy was pumped full of Bount essence. I'd theorize nothing though, as the already established Hollow aspect would just consume the Bount trait's doll potential.

I'm going to make some minor tweaks in wording on The Counts write-up tonight. Nothing too fancy, but clarifying abilities and history for the sake of accuracy. Does anyone have any more issues they feel I should address?

Well. We've got a Vizard Quincy in Cackling Oni. And the Bount have mixtures.

Honestly, I'd wager the Bount Doll would end up merged into the Shinigami Zanpakutou, the Hollow part would turn them into a Vizard, and the Quincy part...hm. Would give them secondary options?

Quincy don't really have distinctive reiatsu in quite the same way though, do they?

Y'know... Bount and Fullbring are sort of the opposite sides of a Mortal power-base if you look at pure canon. Fullbring is the result of Hollow intervention in Mortal lives, and Bount are sort of the result of Shinigami intervention. Sort of. The Bount origin is kinda silly to me.

From my understanding of Quincy, their reiatsu isn't especially different from any Medium's reiatsu. Thus why I believe that all Quincy are Fullbringers.

Quincy don't really have that much "internal power" from my understanding. A lot of it is drawn from whatever world they are in. A Quincy's power isn't just "This is how powerful I am," it has to do with the world that they are in and what they have access to. So I don't think they have specific powers. I think anyone who can see spirits could potentially become a Quincy.
