"Uh-huh, and what does that mean when it's at home?" Erin asks, floating over to peek over Phil's shoulder.

"I don't quite understand that saying...are you asking for it in layman's terms or...?"

Phil's screen is a blur of open windows and rapidly changing text right now, the computer taking commands as fast as he thinks them thanks to the fact he's plugged himself into it.

"That makes sense. I'm guessing it'll get easier as I go." and with that, he'll start focusing on the plate again, so that it floats up and out of his hands, at which point it will float, slowly, over to the sink. Unless Arlem stops him (When she comes out of deadtime, of course) he's going do this with all the dishes and things on his coffee table. Arlem should be able to note that the smaller the item, the faster it seems to go.

[Eric's]

"Correct. So, tell me, are more massive things actually harder to move, or are they just going slower because you expect them to be heavy?"
Arlem flips back over the edge of the sofa and walks up to the sink, which she inspects curiously for a bit before turning it on and jumping back in surprise.
And then going to wash the plates and things as they float in.
"And try to keep the place clean. A cluttered living space leads to a cluttered mind. And you want all the focus you can get."

[Beans]

Luna thinks "...um...um...um...well...I'm not really sure..."

This is after he's moved all the dishes, correct? "No way - they're definitely harder to move. But, yeah, I'll keep the place clean from now on." He'll move over to the sink to take over cleaning from her - this is his apartment after all - but unless Arlem actually moves out of the way for him, he won't find a way to sneak in

Correct. "Good. I'll let you take over that, then." Arlem says, ducking out of the way. So long as someone is cleaning them.
"It's tedious, but it builds discipline to keep things cleaned."

[Halae]

[Eric's]

"That makes sense. What other kinds of things should I be doing to help with that?" Eric asks, cleaning a plate

[Eric's]

"Hmm...resist impulses. Don't have emotions. Stick to a schedule. You know." Arlem stands back, a bit awkward that someone else is cleaning and she not doing anything helpful.

Phil's

"Layman's terms, yes. Although I'm a woman." Erin pauses. "I do know Reverse Gender, though..."

[Eric's]

"Don't have emotions? The other two I can understand, but emotions are part of what make us who we are." Eric seems... well, he doesn't seem to like the idea of lacking emotions.

[Recaiden]

[Eric's]

Arlem shrugs. "Then go ahead and keep them. Even I haven't managed to get rid of them yet, but they will only be bad for you, I can guarantee."

[Halae]

[Eric's]

"Fair enough, I suppose. Impulse control shouldn't be a problem, though," Eric has a surprising amount of willpower for his age, which Arlem should know from when she perused his memories.

[Recaiden]

[Eric's]

"Not for you. That was more of a reminder." He likely has much better focus of will than Arlem ordinarily does, as she now knows.

[Halae]

[Eric's]

That fact is kind of odd, huh? the teenager has more focused will than the psychic who's been training all her life? Weird. "If you like, you can sit down and watch TV, or use the computer. The dishes might take a little while to finish."

[Recaiden]

[Eric's]

A little bit. But Arlem isn't a reasonable person; it hasn't been taking her own advice. Assuming she can gather knowledge of what TVs and computers are from Eric's head, she will activate the TV and change it to a news station.
"Sure; thank you. Hopefully not too long, ah?"

[Halae]

[Eric's]

"Yeah," he says, really getting down to work on the dishes. It'll take him about half an hour, and Arlem did indeed get the information about computers and televisions from Eric's memories that would be required for turning them on.

Once he's finished, he dries his hands off on a table cloth, then goes to sit next to Arlem as the sink drains, "Any other training you'd like me to do, oh master of the mind?"

[Recaiden]

[Eric's]

"Yeah, don't use that nickname again. And practice. There's really not anything more important than that."

[Halae]

[Eric's]

"Sorry. I have a bit of a sarcastic streak in me." Eric says. Memories, of course, confirm this, "But, in the case..." the remote control for the TV will rise off the coffee table. Eric is focusing on just moving it back and forth in the air for now, but it's pretty obvious that's difficult for him. He's not even paying attention to what's on the screen. He'll continue doing this until interrupted.

[Recaiden]

Arlem will watch it go back and forth a few times, and then stand and turn off the news.
"I think I'll leave you to that, okay? I'll find you again when I'm needed."

[Halae]

[Eric's]

The remote drops back onto the table, and Eric will stand as well. He'll see Arlem out the door, like a gentleman, "Alright then - I'll see you another time. I'll keep practicing, of course."

[Recaiden]

[Eric's]

Arlem will walk out the door and turn to nod to Eric. "Thank you. Good luck." And then it vanishes.
