Still here as well, and ready to proceed. Although not quite so much with the beating people up.
Currently climbing out of a heckofa two weeks at work/RL. Now working to catch up. Thanks for your patience.

I hear you, and have moved on.

I've made the assumption that you'll go as far as being able to see the front door. Any objections to that, and I'll alter the text accordingly.

Ahh the adventuring party's natural enemy - the open door!

To be clear, the building is apparently one double height ground floor, and then another floor on top. It may have further towers on the roof. It drops to a single story on either side. It's part of a terrace, so you can't obviously walk around the side to the rear of the building.

In summary, the only obvious ways into the main building are via front door, or the balcony in the back. Or you could go in through the doors to either tower on the roof, or to the hostel, and hope that those would connect internally to the main building.

If you want to send in eyes...

Could you tell me what it is you're intending to do with them? While we could do the whole building room by room via divination, that will take a while, and only involve the diviner. To speed things up, if you could tell me where you're sending them, and what you are and aren't going to risk doing, that will allow me to make some intelligent guesses as to what you'll see. That should result in fewer question and answer exchanges.

I was going to wait and see if my blindsense registered anything, first. If not, command will probably be something like "spread out, explore the buildings, hugging the walls and ceiling. Report back if you spot any creature larger than a rat, or after ten minutes."

    I'll have:
(1d4+20)[23] eyes, so should be able to explore a lot of different rooms at once.

I'm willing to risk them being spotted, although if it's by anything but a rat, hopefully they'll spot it first and retreat. I'd ideally like to get a look into all the rooms in the main building and the ones to the sides.

Blindsense doesn't register anything. Note that, despite the description, it doesn't allow you see around corners - you still need Line of Effect.

    You send in the eyes.

Can I clarify the precise instructions? As it stands, your instructions, should there be a small dog asleep in the first room, would have every single eye file in, see the dog, return, report and disappear. Also, what do you mean by 'the buildings?' You're in a city, the buildings you're interested in are physically connected to building you aren't interested in, and specifying everything you want would probably take you over 25 words. Finally, are you just interested in the inside, or do they go out of doors and windows and float around the outside too?

Okay, after rereading the descriptions (sorry, I've been pressed for time)... I'd like them to enter the buildings through multiple angles, I don't want them all to file in the front door (so through cracks, windows, the door, etc). I would be okay with them missing stuff in the interior because of dogs sleeping on the floor, although hopefully they'll take sufficiently different paths that they shouldn't all get stopped by one dog; I'm trying to make it so they'll dart back around the corner and come back to me if they win an opposed Spot/Hide contest against a guard, rather than just continuing blithely into the room.

I'm interested in the main shrine, and the stable and the forge in the courtyard next to it.

Proposed order to make this clearer (since Umbriel is Int-29 and knows the spell better than I do):

"Circle shrine and outbuildings, separate, enter through gaps, explore discreetly. Return after ten minutes, on spotting any unknown or usually sapient creature, or if threatened."

It says the eyes have all my knowledge, which includes a minimum of 20 on every Knowledge skill. However, I may be misinterpreting what that means; let me know if so. (Similarly, let me know if "if threatened" is too vague - happy to replace with something more concrete if you can suggest something concise.) The idea here is that they'll return if they see a creature which Umbriel can't identify, or a creature that she knows is usually Int 3 or higher. So they won't alert on guard dogs, unless the guard dog tries to eat them, in which case "if threatened" should kick in.

If you decide to take any hostile acts, please include an initiative roll in your post, just in case.

In the meantime, can people remind me what spells they have up? Or is there a past post that lists all that? (I looked and couldn't find one, but maybe I looked in the wrong place).

In case you consider talking a hostile act , here's an initiative for Godot. Of course, the longer that we keep this out of initiative the better, from her perspective. (1d20+2)[17].

    Active spells for Godot:
    Dragonsight
    Glibness
    Superior Resistance
    Voice of the Dragon

All righty. We'll consider that a hostile action. I'll wait for our beloved dragon to act before posting a response from Godot.

Anyone seeing the bright flash of fire from the roof and hearing the sound of spellcasting may deduce that something has gone wrong somewhere.

Anyone who got an initiative more than 5 (including Godot) may act. Remember however, that, apart from Godot and Xiulcoatl, you're all starting about 40 feet below in the street, rather than on the roof, and so don't have line of sight to anyone on the roof unless you move somehow.

You'll need to move first, since you don't presently have line of sight to the roof.

Once you get up there, the fact that Godot and Xhiulcoatl detected a huge creature with dragonsight suggests you might be able to see something.

Can Sthrer fly under her own power, or is she heading to the roof some other way?
